The big boobs female wrestler in stripper oufit tbh will still be a classy move from where we are, if we consider that as now the superslut-role is hold by a pink haired tranny hooker with a whip
To be even more honest as chara design make x99 times more sense have the female pro wrestler in slutty oufit than Cammy being some kind of special op in war mission with a dental floss up in her naked ass
Of course, Cammy MUST be in SFV.
And may the Angel of Death take quickly and without mercy the designer that even just consider to cover dat ass.
But to say, as chara design logic R.Mika make more sense
Not that “make sense” is needed if a hot big boobed dat assed hot girl want wear a stripper outfit in a FG, but in this case it make sense too and even cover a fighting stereotype, like holy SF tradition want
ps: also she will mean Gief be more likely in SFV. Wanting Gief as the grappler and being an estimator of boobs she is a win win situation
Decided to poke over to Capcom unity for a chuckle. The sheer number of people who either want or expect ALL of the USF4 cast to return is sickening. Jeebus save us.
Sagat isn’t a bad guy anymore really. Considered a friendly rival to Ryu and almost never shown as part of the Shadoloo bosses anymore. In SFxT he was considered a good guy and partnered with Dhalsim though that game is non-canon of course.
I would do this to the original 12: Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li = Check, these ones should be in. Guile = Replace with Charlie.
**Dhalsim and Blanka = **Replace with Necro.
**Zangief = **Replace with Alex.
**E. Honda = **Bye bye.
**Sagat and Claw = **Could be in, but not really necessary. Boxer = Replace with Dudley and Q.
**Dictator = **Could be in, but you can replace with Urien.
Everyone could actually be present either as DLC or an update of the game, but I really don’t think they’re a longer a “must” or completely necessary in the first iteration of the game.
Charlie and Guile could feature important differences in gameplay, I’ve always said with Charlie they could tune down the power of his specials and make him perform them by holding a punch/kick button then release it.
As for the New Challengers, I’d vote for them to be completely out of the first iteration and perhaps the whole game.
So, my 16-characters roster could be something like this.
Honestly, the more I think about it the more I wouldn’t mind everyone be in at some point down the road. I’m taking 40-50 characters. The only negative to this is having to learn more matchups, but then again most characters will have the same gameplan no matter who they face with minor changes depending on the match.
Not to mention most hardcore fighting fans will end up investing hundreds of hours anyway. I really don’t see any other negatives to having a roster full of everyone. Matchup variety, tier discussion, and having dream matchups is the best stuff in fighting games.
With that said, I STILL don’t want to see either Fuerte or Rufus anywhere near this game.
Not the biggest fan or detractor of Mika’s (I played everyone in Alpha 3 and did find her to be rather fun at times) but I don’t know about an outfit change. Also how’s it too Japanese?
Character herself is Japanese despite the anime blond hair and blue eyes (at first I thought she was Russian for some reason when I first got the game)
From the little research I’ve done, Joshi Puroresu wrestlers always seem to be over the top in terms of costumes to go with the intense personas and stunts and all that. Considering she’s called Rainbow Mika, I’m surprised her outfit isn’t more gaudy hah.
People tend to flip out when character looks are randomly changed up for sequels
At some point, I agree. However I think Capcom should focus much more on quality rather than quantity. Make that initial cast of 16 or whatever really well thought out, and as different from each other as possible. There shouldn’t be any throwaways who were bad designs, or characters similar to another that just does the same thing much better.
I think making her look like a WWE Dvia might run the risk of making her a bit generic looking, though if they balance between Diva and gimmick costume, it could work, but Capcom likes eye catching characters, a blond girl in bike shorts and a tanktop might not be enough for them. Though they could keep the hearts theme and make her look like some of the 80s-90s era female wrestlers mixed with modern? (Not quite WWF’s Luna or Scary Sherri)
I get that it might be weird for other countries (I certainly did a double take in the 90s before I’d ever heard of this brand of wrestling), but Capcom’s a Japanese company first, an international company second. In terms of designing her they’re probably going to cater to the Japanese female wrestler tropes before an american styled one. Though if the ever do want to change her up they could use the excuse that she changed up her persona or went heel. Though I’m not sure how likely she is to come back even though Ono loves her.
If we’ve got to have a female wrestler in SF5, I’d 100% get behind bringing in Slammaster’s Black Widow. Now her, she’s awesome to me hah.
It’s anonymous voting and you can’t see the results? I hope this doesn’t get abused. I can’t believe they have all their characters listed. Alphabetical would’ve been nice.
I still hope we italians get a V.Rosso redesign a la Darun->Hakan without the nationality change
I think the closest we got is that bottom-left dude, who almost got into SF4
fun coincidence to say, considering that this dude from cancelled Capcom All Star was probably the first concept of C.Viper, at least the gadgets (glasses and electric gloves)
Basically Viper is that mixed with Angelina Jolie
Too bad, i will probably have liked the character, look badass
Btw if you watch the sketch of the botton-left chara design (in particular the sketch with sunglasses on) is almost the same face… wich may not be so random (again think Darun-Hakan) considering the huge importance SF designers give to facial proportions/traits to define a character
ps: the other concept dead with the game was Remy and Benimaru son, in this case i’m glad he’s never actually born
It’s no coincidence he looks like Viper that’s “Smart Raven” he was supposed to be her partner. They mentioned him on one of the blogs ages ago before Super Street Fighter 4, I think. I don’t know if he’s still canon or not, but if I’m remembering things right, he was one of the agents killed while investigating Blece. Would have been interesting to see him in action.
