Looks like more ranks/tiers may be needed imo. Only 5 chars in the lowest tier but 20+ in the highest tier. Would be more informative if it had a more even spread, no?
Why don’t you do the tier list like this DJ:
- 700k or higher
- more than 500k
- less than 500k
- 300k or lower

there needs to be more “tiers” in this damage before super tier list… why is this damage before super? some characters (like lets say hulk just for example) have extremely damaging supers that make these combos do a lot more than lets say a corner maximum wesker would do after the combo… obviously resets and the like come into account, but guaranteed damage is guaranteed damage you know?
I dunno - just curious i guess, s’pose sometimes you just don’t have meter shrug

That’s actually the same combo I do now but I usually get like 488 before super for some reason.
I’ma try to work on the charge shot loops. They’re too fancy to not do and I like the extra meter build.

Are we talking about optimized damage or practical damage? There’s a difference between combo video stuff that starts with a st.H with multiple links, and the BnB that 90% of players are using. Also, some characters lack the ability to confirm combos off various neutral situations (anti-air, air-to-air, air/ground throws) which drastically reduces their overall damage output.

Talking your best case scenario to land a combo which would be hitting the person while they’re grounded. Long as it’s not Desk hard it’s practical in my eyes.
Most of the people that are in the truck category get similar truck damage off anti airs or air to airs so that’s enough for me. Air/ground throws that convert to combos scale any way.

#of hits does not add to hitstun decay per se (especially if it’s from quick multi-hit moves). All it does is kill damage early on in a combo.
It’s still a problem for the true low-damage characters in the long run, though. Not contesting you or anything, just saying.
One character I (and a lot of people I assume) know almost nothing about is Jill. I don’t even know her damage output, though for soem reason I have the feeling it’s pretty low. Does she even have resets to mitigate that low damage somewhat?
Jill has broken ass 4 corner MVC2 style mix ups (MVC3 Magneto essentially lost his 4 corner stuff). Instant Overhead in front, low in front, Instant overhead in back or low in back. She is about every mix up you ever want in a character. She even has a freaking Yun/Yang style command grab that can link into combos. You literally have to be a psychic to block her down for more than a couple seconds and that’s before you add in assist+port stuff that will open anybody up.
Jill is one of those characters that can practically do 200 to 300k to you, and then just reset you until you end up taking like 700 to 800+K before super.
I would imagine her damage can get up to 450+ with assists. She’s not a super high damage character but that’s because her mix up is broken good.
Yea Ryu does hit like a grown ass calm Asian man. I vote we move Thor up to Godly since it seems like they buffed his damage. Dude can get about 620k anywhere on screen assist-less
