actually I think that she has good team synergy, it’s just not universal synergy that applies to every character. I do agree with you that I wish Poison had better normals than just cr mk, and and st lp. The rest are alright. But anyways, what are your guys thoughts on using st hp as a poke, and confirming into a launcher. It has been working for me, but only if it’s applied it st hp’s max range.
1st - Cr. or St. Jab x 2, St. MP or Cr. MK xx MP AE or LK LMT. Love the abbreviations. Sometimes going to Cr. LK to start off with is nice. CADC is also an option for maximum safety or Cr. LK/Grab.
- Cr. MK xx St. HP from a distance. Don’t use against a Julia/Chun/Ryu with meter, and some others.
- Cr. HK (sweep) xx AE or LMT. CADCing is godlike due to sweep’s block-stun.
- In general, try not to leave gaps in your blockstrings and make sure they’re safe as hell.
2nd - Many characters can, notably,
- Ogre (Hunting Hawk, Cl. HK xx L Owl’s Hunt or H Waning Moon)
- Kazuya (delayed walk-forward Cr. MK xx whatever or St. HP xx whatever)
3rd - Mid-tier with average use, but I think with optimal gems/team synergy mid-high. She fills a lot of roles well and will serve many characters well, especially as a battery.
Boost combos are Poison’s BnB, agreed. St. HP xx launcher is great, just beware of the slow startup.
I’ve been Bogged down playing Tag2 to really test out any new tech then the shit we know already. I’m willing to say that at this point, there isn’t going to be any new tech really…just really awkward combos from here on out…Like using cl. :lk: after Lars :qcf: :p: , :d: :p: …even though cl. :hp: hitbox is large enough to hit after the bounce…however Im not good with CADC so…im unsure if you can Loop two of them together into KBG.
eh…anyways the reason I use cl. :lk: in Groundbounce juggles is the same reason you do it in her trials…to get the height access to different Normals and potentially different special moves. If EX Wol wasn’t so shitty in terms of scaling i would totally use it in the combo as it combo’s fully in a juggle and you get something after it…however we all know the scaling is terrible and is a waste of meter outside of just swagging out.
however, i feel like she does do good damage when coming in off a tag cancel or generic Launcher so, there is always that…but her normal hit confirms still are well…ya…it’s easier to combo but harder to confirm off Cl. :mk: then Cl. :mp: into Cr. :lp: ~
anyways, has anyone found a decent wall carry combo for her? all I got it doing EX WoL…but thats…1 stock…for under 300 damage…
It’s good…but isn’t the best thing in the world for confirming into her Launcher…and can be disastrous if you mess up…I only go for Cl. :hp: after a Crossup J :lk: and even that is risky.
Pretty much anything into WoL is her best corner carry, one of Poison’s biggest strenghts is her corner carry ability, she’s a bit like Juri in that aspect, great moves for corner carry and a deadly corner game, and she can tag into your partner and have them ready in the corner.
I never took it into consideration on how good it can be…considering Im stingy with meter…lolz…
Having a FT5 with Thai Senpai (from Eventhubs, and that’s also his XBL tag) tonight… Most likely I’ll be using the Poison/Ogre team, and he also plays Poison. Wish me luck!
How did the matches go?
Another good combo that poison has that carries ppl to the corner fast is:
jlk, st hp, mk kiss by a goddess, (partner tag) etc etc.
This base combo pushes the characters nearly half screen depending on the partner.
Eh, it didn’t happen. 
Thai wasn’t on until I was about to go to bed, and I hard work in the morning. Meh.
We had some good endless matches the day before though. I think I was winning because I ran away like crazy, and of course people get blown up by that all the time after fighting the online army.
Why not use HK Kissed by a Goddess? It deals more damage.
Well, I lost 2-5. Meh. I was playing really badly today overall, so I’m not too surprised. I was feeling pretty good after my two back-to-back wins, but things just didn’t work after that. Guess I have been playing too much ranked and blowing up too many frauds.
I have found the MK version to juggle easier for me with my team (poison and Nina).
Who did he/she play as? Also I need to get games in with ppl. Does anyone play on pc?
Poison x Hugo. Hate that team lol. You have to play super patient to win.
I wish I played on PC, but mine isn’t quite good enough to do SFXT. I do play AE on PC occasioanally though.
Mk ver is the best for midscreen tag cancels…the hk ver tends to have the partner run from the other side of the screen and potentially ruining the juggle.
Hk is best in the corner or off ex Wolf combos as that move re-adjust the screen positioning to allow a easier follow up.

I play Poison x Bryan sometimes, and Bryan can run all the way across the screen and connect with Cl. HP after a HK KBAG. I need to test this with other characters, but the trick is to delay your next attack somewhat. But for reliability’s sake I’d agree that MK is the best.

Lili works really well with Poison for corner carry. For two bars you can take the opponent from one corner to the other.
Poison - cr.lp, cr.lp, cr.mk x cr.hp launch cr.hp ex Feisty Rabbit - Rabbits Thorn st.hp light sunflower lance, tag, st.mp cr.mk Heavy DP ( not sure of the name)
If you wish, you can tag in Lili for the last hit of her heavy DP fro cr.hp x Sunflower Lance.
I’m not really sure it’s worth it though. About 340 - 350 damage for two bars.
thats horrible damage for 2 stock…just saying…even with using Lili who is a monster with Meter…you should go back to the lab for better damaging stuff…my Post launcher stuff deals close to 400 damage with that team…
Oh, I know it’s horrible damage. Lili does more damage meterless post launch. It would only ever be even slightly useful if the opponents character had terrible wakeup.
I find it hilarious I come back to this forum for the first time in ages and there’s still a debate on Poison’s gender on the most recent page.
