well the signal you get when the rekkas dont come out is your doing a chain instead of a link~ weird i know it took me the better half of a day to figure out the timing so once you find the timing it gets abit easier and you can add it to memory. alot of people count, other people use a rhythm, i personally watch the characters as this isnt doing Geese’s deadly rave i can do with my eyes close and no sound.

@ Jamp, I agree we should have a strategy thread however it will require all of us to actively update it as the game evolves, maybe it would be a good idea to archive things as well with dates to remember how things changed. i’ll remodel my threads too to make them resemble something like Blaze’z threads~

I could do the strategy thread if no one else wants to bite the bullet of updating it constantly. You two shouldn’t have to make and manage all the poison threads.

Also if anybody is considering partners for Poison and wants to use a Tekken character, without a doubt Hwoarang, Steve and Jin are all pretty great for different reasons that I’m sure you guys by now could likely guess or already know.

Still waiting on Cody to pair with Poison so I feel Brennan’s pain but I refuse to let Capcom’s stupidity keep me from my fav thread and talking about Poison potential.

If your cancelling the normal before the special I think it won’t let you cancel into a special, try cr. :lp:x2 LINKED> cr :mk: > cancel that into Rekka?

I could make the strategy thread as I’m aleady running 2 other ones (Asuka, Vega), I wont be able to add anything to it till I finish those 2 though. It really isnt fair to have everything on rook and genistar lol.

just to let all poison players know I faced another poison today and it turns out you can’t trade fireballs vs another poison as they just go through each other. walked into a lot of fireballs thinking they would just hit each other.

no its a glitch, the fireballs will trade but there is a glitch with Aeolus edge itself that sometimes for some undermined reason it will phase through another projectile.

i’ve been trying to find the cause since day 1 but its just a random occurring thing that happens.

well, if it helps when I played vs another poison 100% of the fireballs phased through each other. All 3 rounds we played, but it was trading with chun’s fireballs 100% of the time. are any of the fireballs tagged differently hitbox wise that could cause them not to see each other.

it depends, because i just finished a briefing room session with a friend just now and we can both safely say its random.
like with her love me tender special in how it can get over projectiles im starting to think that the chance of it phasing through may have to do with the hit box of the projectile itself or the timing in when it was performed.

i had a few formulas but right now the only one that was close to being consistent was the one with sonic booms.
4 out of every 10 sonic booms (both :lp: versions) would pass each other if done between 1-10 frames of each other…so it mite have something to do with timing…im not 100% sure yet…i need more testing.

doing LP->MK is an automatic chain combo if you push it fast. You cannot end chain combos with regular specials.
You’re probably doing this: LPxxLPxxMKxxQCB+P… which will never come out. You need to do LP, LP, MKxxQCB+P. If you push the MK after the LP animation finishes, then you’ve linked the combo rather than chain it. Chaining cancels the animations and goes right in to the next hit automatically.

@__@ it may be difficult to grasp at first, but you’ll get the hang of it…

it’s easier if you play music. but just try to go to the tempo and build your Rhythm.

I’m pretty sure you can do LPxxLP, MKxxQCB+P and (“xx” means cancel “,” means link)

Yeah pretty much there’s 3 ways to combo one hit to another, the “juggle”, the “cancel” cancels the animation, the “link” starts up the animation as soon as the previous one ends ( you can practice this in a few of the trials, just practice something like trial #8 I think? It’s the Trial that links MP>Cr.LP …you have to wait exactly after the animation is over to hit the next button, you can’t cancel it.

It takes a little while for your brain to remember the rhythm, so just practice links as much as you can. Trial mode is a good way to figure out when to cancel and when to link.

Hi, I thought I stop by here and introduce myself. I’m new to this game. I been playing for about a weak now and checking out some vids. Think i’m slowly getting better. Trying to get use to things such as cross up, hit confirms, etc. Something I been struggling with. I play as Poison and lili. I ran into this site when I deciced to google her frame data and thought it was really cool to know my options.

Thanks for the link. I am not really new to fighting games. I play a game called super smash bros melee/Brawl competitive. So I know about stuff in terms of mix ups, frame data -/+, etc. But Those games are something different to true fighting games just as this. Its a new ball game. Im getting better Im just seem to have a hard time hit confirming and pressure. So that link will help with the traditional fighting game.

I did teach myself something useful though. The Charge cancels. I use it with poison as a Bluff or bait someone to jump to me. Then I hit them with her s.MP or an ex fireball. Also learned that If I can it will dashing forward, I can Dash again right away. I use this to get in a lil faster really since charging your fireball might put the enemy at the defense.
