It doesn’t. It’s really easy to link into it from ground combos, but in juggles you should either go for a KbG, a LMT or a sweep.

The reason Cross Rushes aren’t optimal is because the chained Cross Rush moves do way less damage than the normal versions - Poison’s full rush does 122 damage or something, even though her fierce alone does 100 damage.

Poison is a completely self sufficient character, she doesn’t need a character specifically to cover her flaws. This was making it really hard for me to pick a teammate for her. However, I had this idea about using her far fierce poke and cancelling it into a launcher for a barely scaled, nearly half-screen juggle. This could make teams using characters with heavy juggle potential like Nina - specially coupled with gems that are activated on partner launchers - really deadly.

Im in a similar situation as Jamp was in…im playing on 360 pad and it sucks but poison is so damn fun to use…im going to be happy once im out the cold and on ps3…

The 360 pad isn’t even as bad as people like to make it out to be, I personally find both that and the PS3 pad equally as dreadful for fighting games.
But yeah, any pad user in general should have at least upgraded to a proper fightpad by now. They make a world of difference!

I’m hoping the SFxTK ones aren’t as low in quality as the SFIV ones were, I’m planning to buy the one with Poison on it and really hope I can use a mic without the shoddy quality making me sound like an android this time…

Aw, hell yeah! That should give us some really damaging options out of a launcher. I’ll try to get some damaging combos with Nina once I get to play the game again in a few hours.

EDIT - Max range :hp: into launcher, Nina with 10% - Partner Launcher - power gem, c.:hp: xx Skull Splitter, c.:hp: xx Blonde Bomb does around 380 damage. Not bad at all!

Oh! The horrible life of an importer… gotta wait for my copy to arrive, best case scenario it’s here by friday/saturday. There are so many things I wanna test with Poison, anyone tested her frametraps possibilities?

The only frame trap I could confirm for certain was a blocked LMT. There’s other possibilities but the results from my testing are pretty inconsistent, I need the frame data to know for sure.

This is off topic, but I just wanna express my gratitude for Poison because I can see that I can relate to her.

I’m not transgendered, but I find Poison’s attitude about not giving a shit about what people think about her to be inspiring. I’ve always had problems with having the fears of doing this or that because of what people might think of me. Thanks to some psychiatric help, I’m starting to finally shed this fear, and Poison’s like an extra boost for me. I’m doing it to please myself, not you! In fact, because of this progress I’m making, I’m finally gonna take up drawing, and maybe even singing.

I’m feeling like her Normals are terrible. like not much is going for her outside of zoning, and from what I saw from Alisa, there will be people doing it better?

I’ve been raging heavily over the past three days because of those normals lol.
She can’t get out of pressure too well (at least with the tools I have in front of me) Most times when I backflip they can still close the gap before it’s complete

What’s wrong with her normals?

they feel pretty bad, like they are only passable up close.

very exaggerated, or maybe because Kazuya is just always in just enough range to smack me out of my moves

I can’t say for sure about her normals since my versus experience is literally zero - I’ve been doing nothing but playing training mode - but her normals don’t seem bad at all. Sure, she has some somewhat bland normals like her light kicks but from testing they seem pretty good.

Her jabs seem 3f, her shorts on the other hand seem slower. Overall I’d say they’re pretty good, but I can’t say anything about hurtboxes.

I don’t really think they’re as good as they look. Particularly her whip normals. They just don’t control the space the animations would suggest they do.
