j.:hp: cl.:hp: xx EX Aeolus, c.:mk: xx WoL does 393 damage for a single stock. Switch the EX Aeolus for EX WoL, cl.:hp: xx Super and it does 458 damage. I always do close fierce after a EX WoL, does the most damage and works anywhere.

Her crossup j.:lk: does enough hitstun to go straight into her close fierce! You can do j.:lk:, cl.:hp: xx EX Aeolus, c.:mk: xx WoL for 333 damage, or if you don’t feel like spending meter you can do cl.:mp: (2 hits), c.:lp:, c.:mk: xx WoL for 247 damage.

c.:lp: c.:lp: c.:mk: xx WoL. Easy hitconfirm BNB, does 208 damage and you’re safe you mess the link up. You can also confirm straight into super for easy 344 damage - using two stocks on EX instead does way less damage, better to go straight into super if you got the link down. It’s a pretty easy link.

Can’t hit jumpers with LMT, the hitbox isn’t really high vertically.

so you can always hit Close :hp: after EX WoL that is awesome indeed, and the hitstun on her crossup :lk: seems soo good~ fierce, really? damn this is some good stuff. you found out whats her best juggle ender?

So far it seems it’s better to keep it simple with her. She has very limited juggle options, so it’s better to just say “fuck it” and do fierce into DP or LMT > Follow up if they are high enough or a sweep.

And her j.:lk: is really good. You don’t even need to hit it deep to combo into fierce, it’s pretty easy and manageable.

Elbow drop seems pretty shitty at first. I can’t combo out of it not even on counter hit. However, she’s airborne, so it might go over lows and grabs. Needs more testing, though.

you can combo into love me tender with a WELL spaced M aeolus, thats a trial though so its sort of obvious, it feels like ti should be able to be combo-ed into from other things.

seems like it needs some speed gem testing.

Another thing I’ve noticed: AA s.:mp: is extremely good, however it’s doesn’t look to be active for too long, so you need to time it well. Though that’s hardly a disadvantage since if you can time it well it’s basically a 1 button DP.

ahh so the over head maybe good for throw baiting, lolz, i thought it was going to have some godlike properties or something. So much info, this is too good. in like 15 hours from now i get to play it so you know im hyped. you think they gave her :lk: crossup alot of hitstun to make up for the fact her :mk: doesn’t cross up?

so you can use her sweep like Akuma’s and get knockdowns from a juggle?, thats rather cool and gives you more options if you cancel it you know~ oh damn…the possibilities~

speed gems only effect movement like walkspeed, jump decent, and dashes, not the speed of special moves or their frame data.

To combo into her sweep out of juggles you need to do a cl.:mp: first, though. Juggle into the second hit of it, then hit the sweep and cancel into Aeolus for frame advantage.

so its very specific then, is the juggle hard to time or is it something once you get the timing its easy~ and what do you think about the timing on the links in general Jamp?

Nah, it’s easy, you just need to do the close strong so they go high enough for the sweep to have time to catch them.

Links are pretty easy. The links from her far s.:lk: and cl.:mp: are somewhat annoying to do, though.

Check and see if her overhead beats popular poking lows (Ryu’s cr/ :mk: , Chun’s cr. :hk:, Vega’s cr.:mp: or cr.:mk:).

If her overhead works like Vipers and goes over lows then her pressure is absolutely stupid, silly is not strong enough it would be stupid…and great for me…and her tournament viability.

alright, the main link i will practice is her Cr. :lp: to Cr. :mk: . are any other things that stood out to you and what character are ya using as her partner currently?

Yeah, Elbow Drop is ass. It has huge startup and during it you’re grounded, so you can only beat lows preemptively and even then it’s not that good since you can’t combo out of it. Just use LMT, it does what Elbow Drop should’ve done in the first place, so we’re good.

I still haven’t tried other characters, I’ve only been trying her out. I wanted to use Nina, Julia and Asuka at first, but playing them didn’t feel just right. Having a blast with Xiaoyu though, so I’ll keep her for now until Ms. Boskonovitch gets released.

I’m “kinda” dissapointed to hear that elbow drop sucks but its really w/e as the way you put it, LMT pretty much did that moves purpose. so your using Ling!?! that is something, I feel that your going to post some good notes about her too~ your going to use Elena too when shes released along with Alisa right!?! Your going to have alot of mains~

After playing it, what is your opinion on team synergy and your impression on gems?

I feel alot of people who played Tekken for years (myself included) will have alot of mains. I’m waiting on Cody to pair him with Poison as you all know but I am still playing Hwoarang, Jin, Vega, Juri, even looking into Paul and Steve.

I think it’ll be natural to have at least two main team in a game like this ESPECIALLY when the DLC is release. A lot of people are waiting on Cody,Guy,Bryan,and Alisa in particular.

I just started playing this at my friends house because he got it early btw.

Xiaoyu is damn fine. If you can combo into one of her really long moves like her Phoenix EX low kicks you can tag into Poison for a lot of damage. She’s really fun to play and actually goes really well with Poison. Also her solo combos are dope, I can get 507 damage with two meters out of a jump-in.

I really love this game. So damn good.

thats ridiculous~ I guess once you start to break the game in, you get all kinds of ideas. I kinda feel left out not being able to play it now…i can endure a afew more hours~ hahaha.

Im personally going to see how well King and Kazuya are and see if i can make Cammy work(apparently shes terrible in this game) but yeah, i’ll put in some work once i get ahold of the game. I know you was going to do this anyways but Jamp your going to do the basics since we got the sub forum~ Combos, framedata, Ect. I think Teams/synergy and Gems should be seperate threads too…what do you think?

Ling can get that much damage? Oh man I wonder how good her anti fireball tech is then because I don’t think Capcom would make her better than Kaz or Jin. This game feel like what SF4 should have been to be, doing wallbounce combos feel right in a SF game.

Everything else is exaggerated in SF why not the attacks? Passing around the stick and getting a few games in I must say Poison feels better than I thought and really a natural fit to my playstyle. Maybe it’s because I used to going from zoning to rushdown at the drop of a dime because of the characters I usually pick but I love her so far.

She reminds me of like a mash up of Vega, Karin, and Juri in playstyle.
