I’d say that Chun-Li is a good battery, I was messing around with her earlier and Hyakuretsu loops/combos add a shit ton of meter for very little effort. Hell, you could probably even combo into, and then out of Hoyokusen for a net meter gain. I wouldn’t say Trish is a good battery, though. Air combos into Maximum Voltage are too good to pass up, imo. Easy as shit to land and does nice damage, leaving Trish in a favourable position. Round Harvest shenanigans are also a must!
I lost an argument? All you’ve said is “Trust me I play Wesker on point so I know he is not a battery, k? trust me! I do combos and get in with teleports and then end my combos with shitty hypers. K? Trust me”
You claim to know the same combos as me even though I haven’t mentioned any specifics so I find that awfully bold of you, hell i’d love to hear you’re 550k Wesker combo involving Iron Man & no meter please. I’ll be waiting.
Your going off about some bullshit doing combos in “actual” fights, not training mode fights (lol whatever the fuck that means) against “good” people who also learned advanced combos in training mode.
Seriously is english you’re 2nd language or something? I Feel like I’m responding to retarded messages on xbl.
Wesker is an awesome battery if you don’t play like shit. He can rack up the damage, get in much easier than Tron, Amaterasu, or Chun, maintain pressure, and get very good meter off his combos that lead to a 50/50 into more easy meter potential.
Gamefaqs is that way bro ->
Good luck with your awesome advanced phantom dance enders into a guaranteed cross up, you’re so cool man.
Felicia + lockdown assist. d.H all day.
Good job. I’m glad this was your final post. I know you don’t have all day to troll this thread waiting for my reply. lol
btw, not even close on the Iron Man combo. Don’t talk like we are on the same level if you aren’t able to even theorize a decent combo, let alone one that would even come close to working. For such an advanced Wesker user you sure don’t seem to know where his combo ability ends. Someone with such a limited knowledge, shouldn’t be flapping their lips about how he isn’t a battery character.
didn’t you already say you were done? This argument is dumb! Its come down to: “You’re dumb!” “No, you’re dumb!” Stop, for everyone’s sake, just stop. Both of you.
I’m done with that off-topic shit but I’ll keep going with the topic of the thread.
Just curious, are you basically saying that Wesker isn’t a battery because he can do long combos into his lvl 3, ignoring damage scaling to pretty much kill a character? Thus negating the gain because he uses 3 bars. But…can’t pretty much everyone do that?
Yeah, pretty much everyone can do it, but certain characters gameplay lends itself to one thing or the other. For example, watch this video, tell me who is leading in building meter:
here’s another one, one of the characters that others and I have listed as a battery character:

As decided by who? It’s up to the player, is it not? For example, my team. Each character is very versatile, and they can play keepaway and rushdown. You can’t argue that Wesker isn’t a viable battery, just because you, personally, like to combo into his lvl 3. I can see how Trish could be a good battery like people have said, but I prefer to burn meter with her, it’s down to the player really.
Like I said earlier, there are too many variables to list because everyone uses different setups. For example, my team is Wesker/Chris/Trish. For meter building purposes, Chris would actually be the better builder and there is a smoother DHC transition if I need to get Chris out of there. Wesker on point ends up building meter himself and trying to land massive combos w/ Chris assist.
The list I posted earlier was simply a combination of what everyone has said + my own opinions and additions. It’s been debated and I gave my reasons. It doesn’t have to be final. It’s final, FOR ME. If you think that Wesker builds good meter then shit, put Wesker on point.
^IMO Chris is a pretty solid battery.
Please just stop posting, lol.
Everything you say is a bunch of hypocritical garbage. You say there are too many variables, and it’s just your opinion that he is not a battery and yet you’re prepared to argue me all day that he is “Not a battery. I’m still not wrong.” lol
You can’t seem to understand the fact that if I can generate nearly as much meter as Chun can, and have a set up for a 50/50 chance to land more, than that pushes him further than Chun as a battery. It’s cool though, you’re a pro with the pro opinion because you fap to some youtube scrub who from the sounds of it, generates all the material you know about the game.
Let me know when mommy takes you out to gamestop to pick you up a copy, and then maybe I’ll pretend you’re opinion is worth jack shit.
Final post everybody! Final post, I promise =p
cripple fight
Fuck you! Reported and ignored! =p
“Wesker’s still not a battery character LOL! Regardless of what anyone says.” - Opinions, yo!
I should have taken a hint after his first response.
And I don’t know who this Justin Wong is, but he ain’t no world champion if he hasn’t beat me.
If your going to use Phoenix then have Morrigan to get lv5 with ease. You could also try the Cat but for the most part don’t typically have the time to use that buff skill. I would recommend in this order: Sentinel, Morrigan, Phoenix.

lol! I’m a huge fan of Will Ferrell and Steve Carell
You ignored him by directly replying to his answer? Look, kid, just stop replying. some people are here to discuss the actual topics, not argue about ONE CHARACTER. If you have an issue, take it to the Wesker forums, invite Akuma if you want, but this argument has gone on for too long, and you just keep talking.
I’m having trouble with Doom (point)(beam)/Hulk (gamma charge ground)/Dormammu (purification). Is this a good team? I’m having trouble with doom on point. I’m trying to use the combos in the guide, but it seems really hard to consistently launch, medium x2, forward+hard, cancel, airdash down, medium x2, relaunch.
Before anybody says check the doom/hulk/dormammu threads, already did and didn’t find my answer. I’m considering replacing doom w/storm or amaterasu but not sure. Any tips are welcome, thanks
Wonderswan may have over reacted but he’s not wrong about anything. People have provided clear info for why Wesker is a good battery.
The argument for him not being a good battery… well, I’m not buying any of it. Sorry take your uninformed opinions else where.
I for one am looking for a good point character with battery potential. At the moment I run trish/doom/viper with trish on point and c.viper basically there for otg assist and lvl 3 x-factor come backs, or to switch to pure rush down if I feel like it.
BUT, Here is what I want: Battery point/Doom/Trish. I want to dump Meter with Trish or DHC from doom combos.
Also, Both doom and trish can switch from zoning and rush down whenever they want, and I really like this style of play.
TLDR: Looking for battery point with both zoning and rushdown. Taskmaster, Ironman, Wesker?
Edit: Nori, The relaunch combo you’ve stated with doom is pretty easy just spam practice it in training! You’re team however, I have no clue, I do think doom is decent battery though but I don’t want to start him on point.
