Batteries are irrelevant. I’ll let that one marinate for a little while lol
Some characters are designed to be point and those are the ones that build the meter for your setup. Storm is actually best as 2nd b/c of Aerial Exchange into Storms knockdown and Elemental Gaia. Her assist will help with rushdown (getting stuff off of the screen, etc) and then of course, the instant startup hail storm DHC.
She builds good meter with her fly combo provided you don’t drop it. Overall though, I agree she doesn’t deal a ton of damage, not compared to other characters.
Whenever I play Phoenix, which is only when I’m trolling people online, I play Wolverine and Taskmaster. Both do insane damage with regular BnBs. Then once I gain 5 hypers, I tag in Phoenix until she transforms, tag her back out, and now I have two characters whose BnB + hyper ending is insane.
wesker, wesker, and wesker. dante can build meter pretty easy too if your execution decent. but mainly wesker since he doesn’t even use meter as much. and magneto goes without saying.
What qualities do players expect to have in a good battery? I would expect something along the lines of: Maximize meter gain, while also maximizing damage output.
At what point does it become better to save meter as a battery as opposed to using it to add more damage to a combo.
Taskmaster is a good character to discuss as an example, being a character previously discussed as both a good battery but also a character that excels using meter.
Ive stayed quiet on this one for min.
But as I see it Wesk and Task are both top notch batteries, with a slight edge to… Wesk.
I havent studied too much about Task damage values without ending with hypers.
But intuitively Im thinking that Wesk will give you alittle more damage and Task alittle more meter.
You can’t DHC using MH Legion Arrow unless the hyper you’re DHCing to can OTG by itself, like Burst Time or Grabbity Cheese.
Most characters in the game seem to be really good meter builders, and it seems few of them are weak on their own without meter. Ryu, Dorm, Skrull, and Hsien-ko are the only characters I can think of that are a hell of a lot scarrier with meter than without.
FIRST off MH arrows can be dhc’d into without using an otg assist (u just need to be at superjump height to do it) SECOND this is just in general cuz everyone uses different arrow endings all to the same effect
of course not because u dont go right into his super after u super jump s, instead u fall and hit him with his h arrows, if u do super jump s then mh arrows u can hit them without an otg hyper…i see i will have to post a video of this to prove u wrong
2 lazy to read all post’s to know if some one actually said it already. But my suggestion if you want to play phoenix u need a team that not only builds meter but it has to be extremely good in keep away. Because 1 touch is 1 snapback is 50%that she’s dead and if you rough tag back than you’ll get snapbacked again=)So its better not to be in opponents face but to not let him get near you to snap back in phoenix.i think something like sent task sent or someone like them
Hey its cool man no problems here, im just surprised ppl didnt actually kno u can combo off it at super jump height cuz it opens up more combos for ppls teams
The reason it works is cuz taskmasters arrows still hit poppin the opponent up meaning u can follow up with just about any hyper in the game
Unfortunately I can’t get Tron’s Lunch Rush to hit, which is the only thing I’d try to dhc to with my team. Eh, if I decide to swap my team around atleast I know this works now.
Magneto with a Bullet, only character that can build his own level 3 and use it within the same combo from the start of the match. of course thats if you have the execution for him.
Dr. Doom is a “very” Close second, BuK-combo can build very close to 2 bars
Wesker does fairly well in the Battery role due to his mixup\pressure game
She-hulk is about the same as Wesker in that reguard
Ammy does well too due to her offense being a whole lot of damn C’s
Tho it could messup your order you could use someone else on ur team after task to "hold them " in place for lunch rush to hit instead of going to tron first, like for example lets say chun
(taskmaster mh arrow hyper dhc chun li lighting legs hyper dhc tron lunchtime rush)
that should connect and should be a good 11 mil or close assuming chun holds them in place long enough with her hyper
of course use whoever you have on ur team but im using chun as an example
I figured out a few things I could do, but changing my team just to be able to DHC into Tron isn’t really worth the options I lose. Eh, learned something new anyway.
