At this point, probably not. We’ll see how it goes.

Yup. Burlington one closed down a few weeks back. I went there the day they didn’t open the doors and said “Finally. Hrmm… that actually kinda sucks.”
burlington silver coin finally died huh? well it sucks to see any arcade go down but man those guys haven’t cared about that place for years. i remember playing mvc2 when it first came out with my older brother there.
Well, at least the 2p side was the best arcade setup in WA, IMO. That stick was beast. Only american stick I could refly on more than 60%. I find that sent/iron man is really easy on jap sticks, for some reason. Mag/Storm is good on american sticks, but that competition at silver coin was great for both.
gametrax at southill still has CvS2 and the configuration on Melty bread is fucking weird it’s Sheild/C/A/B. It’s horrid and unplayable plus that place is like a fucking sauna.
Wouldn’t even bother going really.
Narrows only has SFIV now.
Gameworks has SFIV, BB, TvC, MvC2(Broke), t5 x’s 2 (one is broke), T6:BR, VF3, SSV, SvC:Chaos, 3S, KOFXII.
Lol I sit around playin Ratio4 c groove BOXER basically every other day. I also hang around the tag machine but only one side works.
Also when I posted CvS2 gone he told me it was just getting repaired but I forgot to re post. Someone come play CvS2 with me sometime, the machine is fine ;(
If I wasn’t leaving on Wednesday I’d go and play but yeah.
Also, I fucking hate gametrax. The people smell and are just disgusting in general. They’ll always ask you for fucking money or to buy them cigarettes. The fat fuck of a owner doesn’t even care about the place or the condition of the machines. For instance the ac has been broke for 4+ years and won’t fix it but the dumb fuck will invest money on some fans? Get the fuck out of here.
I told him going left on the 1P side for 3S was going out and he told me “So? I can’t do anything about it. Our tech (who sucks btw. I’ve watch him fix cabs and he does really sloppy half ass quick fixes) only comes in once a month and the attendants nor myself don’t know how to fix the cabs.” I told him “Maybe your tech should teach your attendants that watch your business how to fix the machines so you can actually make more money and receive less complaints.”. He didn’t say anything after that.
I use to go there pretty much every friday and saturday when I lived in Puyallup like 3 years ago (when they had MvC2.) but pretty much after my friend Kenny and I stopped going pretty much every decent player in the neighborhood stopped going.
Gametrax would always have like 10+ people on Saturdays for Marvel, 5-6 for CvS2 and like 3-4 for 3S.
But like I said, that was years ago.
Actually… I dunno if any of you know where the B&I is down in Lakewood, but I hopped in there and was surprised that they had a lot of arcade games. MvC2, Dark Stalkers, bunch of Tekken and Street Fighter games (though I don’t remember which ones).
I was kinda sad to see that there’s no Blazblue machines in Tacoma. sighs Looks like I gotta hobo with my friends at UW and hit up Gameworks sometime.
I didn’t know the B&I was still up… I might have to risk my life and go to Lakewood sometime #.#
Yeah, it’s still there. Ghost town when I went in though. If you go though, lemme know when. I haven’t played anyone at an arcade since middle school. >>;
Just heard about a new arcade opening soon in Bellevue’s Lincoln Square (power play, near lucky strike bowling alley). Anyone know if it will have any fighting games worth playing?
(Sorry if I missed an earlier post about this, search is not working for me at all.)
It’s not going to. I forget what topic people were talking [EDIT: http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=213015 ] about it in but don’t expect anything in the ways of fighting games. We’re hoping to go play laser dodging so much that they’ll buy us SUPER STREET FIGHTAR FOUR or something
Yeah I went there yesterday to kill some time and almost walked into the walk. Very sad that he finaly gave up but he stayed longer then I though. As soon he stopped fixing stuff no matter how many times I asked it was only a matter of time.
So I wonder if I every played any of you? The only person who stands out is this mexican dude and his buddies. Always with the Ken and Ryus.
The Tilt in the Gateway Mall (Springfield, OR) has a SF4/xbox 360 cabinet now. I was kinda disappointed when I played it because I thought it was an actual SF4 cab, and to this day I’ve never seen one in person. It does have all of the characters unlocked, but nothing else. It’s the standard $1 per 8 minute setup.
They also have Tekken 5, MVC2, and a couple other fighting games, IIRC.
Well that answers where the “cab” in lloyd center went. kekeke.
How do ya like those analog balls?
Not as much as I enjoyed paying a dollar to play the EXACT same game I have at home, but not knowing this until I’ve already inserted the money. :lame:
Yeah, I had a pretty hardcore critique of it and so have other SRK members from Portland. We had a thread going too.
Re: Tilt, Albany Heritage Mall in Oregon
For what this is worth, the Tilt located in the Heritage Mall is almost totally GARBAGE. Trust me, I’ve lived in Albany for the good majority of my life and I hit up the mall on a regular basis and it has gone WAAAAAAAY downhill.
But for completion’s sake, here’s the rundown of fighting game cabs available for use here as of 12/3/2009:
1 MvC Cab, 1P side does not accept quarters (this might have been fixed, but I dunno), very loose joysticks but the buttons seem nice and clicky still
1 MvC2 cab, 1P side’s joystick can literally be pulled right out of the base, buttons are completely out of alignment to the plexi, 2P side wasn’t horrible but still needs work
1 Soul Calibur II (yes, as in two) cab, screen does not display any color but seems ok other than that
1 Tekken 6 cab - the ONLY shining light for fighting game fans, this thing is brand spanking new and prominently displayed up front, it has Japanese -style sticks and buttons; I couldn’t be sure if they were Sanwa or not but they sure felt like 'em
Let me know if you have any questions about any of the stuff there. I can easily check for you. They’re going to do the usual “holiday cab sale” so if anyone is interested in buying any of them, I can get prices for you. But… yeah they’re probably going to charge you WAY more than they’re worth, especially the old Marvel cabs.
Cool, thanks, updated.
