Where to Play: Arcades in the PNW

Welcome! For people new to the area, it seems going to arcades to play is an easy non-scary way to meet people. Or post up in people’s house party threads to see if you can show up too.

To add arcades, please post the name, address, city, phone number, and interesting games that that arcade has. I’ll edit up these entries to contain more info as we go along - this list is just meant as a starting place. Please help.

edit: RIP GameTown in Tukwila

hey hey we have third strike as well! and Tekken 5 DR

Illusionz had a CvS1 last time I was there. I think I saw a Tekken 4 and a SC2 as well. (SC1 maybe?)

Thanks for taking the time to compile the list, I’m interning in the seattle area for the summer and probably like to visit arcade a few times during the next 4 months.
Any places for good competition for foosball? And which arcade do most ppl usually go to in seattle?
thx

At the moment, Woodinville’s machines never made it to Lanwerx in Silverdale. I haven’t asked Damien what’s been going on regarding all that (I don’t really go there often enough). So they’re still rockin’ the original MvC2 and CvS2 machines they had when the store opened…and Super Off-Road.

10600 Silverdale Way
Silverdale, WA 98383
360.307.0729

Tacoma. I’ve heard of a spot in Tacoma that has a Tekken:DR machine among other import cabs, unfortunatley like I said they’ve just been rumors that I’ve heard of this heavenly place. If anyone has any intel they could give me, I’ll pay you 10 Internet dollars. Thanks in advance. (I can’t really pay 10 internet dollars).

Narrows Bowl and Plaza in Tacoma. Has DR, Marvel, NGBC, and more Bemani than should be legal in any one location.

We have MvC2, T5: DR, and CvS2.

Updated with all that info.

Intriguingly, Seattle is the top video gaming city in the US. What the hell?

Hub has Tekken 5. There’s actually a Korean guy who’s really good.

Narrows Bowl and Plaza
2200 Mildred St W
Tacoma, WA 98466
(253) 565-1007
Games: Tekken 5 DR, MvC2, NeoGeo Battle Colliseum, way too much Bemani

Seatac Mall Tilt
Seatac Mall, Federal Way
Games: Tekken 5 DR, MvC2, CvS1, GGXX

the big question is…

who goes to these arcades? lol

Avalon Wunderland in Portland just upgraded their Tekken 5 to DR. still 25 cents.

We have CvS2 now?!?!

WTF?!

I’ve got to bust my ass back to the Tilt sometime soon.

Almost all. You didn’t include Lanwerx Silverdale! I have the info for them in my previous post.

…but I really don’t blame you.

 I called Damien today because I needed a key from him, and he verified that they eBayed off the bulk of the Woodinville machines, and the rest are in storage.

Those machines traveled all over this area - it’s sad to see them disappear.

So do people actually play at Gameworks? 3S specifically. If so, what days, what time, and how much is the cost per game there? I haven’t been to Gameworks in years, but last I knew they were expensive, although I’ve heard of deals going on certain nights and shit like that. Starting to miss those Friday night LW meetings.

Thursday Nights, 9PM till midnight at Gameworks. It’s 10 bucks for a card that’s good from 9-midnight(Close). parking and actually purchasing a card is extra… although if you want to carpool and split costs, always an option.

3s has okay comp… a few scrubs, a few decent players, and LTB… I know this thursday I’ll be there and Jason the Q Guy will probably be there too… practice for PDX tournament.

Wow. I’m kinda actually sad right now. IMO, what a horrible decision. Those machines had plenty of life left in a store/arcade environment. Someone in out there is having a grand old time with some really good (read: 95% WORKING) arcade machines.

I heard further from Tanj on this - it turns out he may not have actually eBayed them yet. I’ll check on what he has and report back. He’s definitely in the market to get rid of them.
