they are not hardcore gamers, they came from somewhere that is not gaming and now have a voice because they can reach a larger audience online. they see how popular it’s getting and they think there is something wrong with the way games are being made so they use a feminist standpoint to sound relevant. they want to sound concerned about young kids but i think for the most part they really don’t care they just want someone to listen to them talk. if they were really concerned about kids i think there are better avenues for pursuing that like volunteering, kids help phone, etc.
i am not even really a gamer, i only play street fighter, so i came from somewhere that has nothing to do with gaming either. you are always going to get retards. i have known girls that play games my whole life, they were always like “wow this guy must have been horny as hell drawing tifa with massive boobs” but they just laugh it off. girls gaming is nothing new and people who think it’s a big deal are kind of sad i’m sorry to say.
its not supposed to be realistic, they play the games cause they are fun, i think that’s why most people do. kids who see things in games and project that into reality have issues, male or female. these girls are cut from the same cloth of those who always told me mortal kombat was better because it had more blood and fatalities.
Also, on the topic of feminism, I’m fine with feminists and their movement and all that, but frankly a lot of women just use it as a means of enacting their hate of men, aka sexism, so…yea. Too many discussions had, too much time lost. I’m out.

Since this is still in GD and I can say so without bringing a whiny, tearful ban down upon myself: I believe that men and women deserve to be treated equally. I believe blacks and whites deserve to be treated equally.
But GDers are superior to FGDers, to the point where I’m almost willing to advocate the development of Jim Crow-esque rules designed to oppress the FGDers in order to better facilitate the GD way of life.

The proof is in the title; modern ‘feminism’ is about furthering the rights of women, not removing bias on both sides. Unfortunately, it is why most of the mainstream modern feminists are simply entitled, whining bitches that think they deserve all the special treatment they get now (custody related stuff, all the expected chivalry and benefit of the doubt in most court cases) without having to put in the hard miles. As well as all that, they want to ban or censor anything that dislike but isn’t necessarily detrimental, like men sitting on the bus with their legs open or looking at them or being polite (unless they’re hot, of course).
Humanists, however, want true equality with neither side getting inane benefits except where they excel. For example, a lot of women complain that the tradesman line of work is heavily populated by men, but never once try and go through the training themselves and go outside and work in 110 degree weather lugging around bags of cement and smelling like roasted asshole. There are vocations that women excel at, too, mostly things relating to customer service (in my experience) and things of a comforting nature, as a kind hearted woman usually puts people at ease far better than random schmuck off the street.
There are injustices on both sides but neither one of them look to resolve anything. Instead, everybody is happy to just sit on either side of the fence and sling shit at eachother then complain when nothing is improved. To echo something that I heard put well recently, a lot of people build invisible barriers for themselves strictly because of their gender/race, then blame the opposing side for being unable to get past them. Being from Australia, I know of a lot of aboriginal guys that absolutely hate most white dudes and complain that the only reason they can’t get a job is because they’re black, but then when asked if they’d like to go to TAFE (essentially where you go to get apprenticeships and other such stuff) or go and work a shit kicker job like other people, they’ll get really angry that they have to work their way up. We don’t have laws stating that they can’t get a job, nor is there any tangible bias regarding employment, but because of the stigma with white people or being forced to work your way up like the other people, a lot of aboriginals remain unemployed. Bringing it back to the original point, a lot of problems women have in the modern workforce and gaming is barriers they themselves put up and refuse to move past, while shitty white knights and gaming publications are all too happy to perpetuate it. I’m not for subjugation or beating on people because they’re different, but you can’t come in and expect special treatment because you’ve got different genitals or skin color, or claim any abuse you receive in a competitive environment is strictly because of it.

But I also wanted to show that feminists shouldn’t turn a blind eye to all the double standards that we men face, and that not everything we say is laced with sexism.
