Hyper Looting - nope definitely not part of any continuity.
Super Combo Special - It was not meant to be as it was originally created many years earlier for a Japanese comics anthology. But it would not be impossible to find a way to make those events fit in the comics.
And just to verify, this print version will be what the HC version is but in 4 parts, without any extras unlike the upcoming HC editions of Street Fighter Legends Sakura and Ibuki, correct?
No, the version of SFV: Charlie !-shot arriving in stores next week contains the full 40 pages of story, just like the hardcover. The only thing missing from the "floppy comic " are some bonus pinup artworks that were in the hardcover.
Ah gotcha, now I recall reading from some time back, that itās going to be a straight one-shot release rather than several issues. My bad. So people with the hardcover already have whatās coming then, thatās cool.
Street Fighter IV Vol.1 HC: Decapre VS Juri
Street Fighter Legends: Chun-li HC: Chun-li VS Wonwon(FF2)
Street Fighter Legends: Ibuki HC: Ibuki VS Q
Street Fighter Legends: Sakura HC: Dan VS⦠mystery opponent!
We will find some other way to get these to people at some point (maybe digitally), but for a while they will be exclusive to the HC releases.
Street Fighter x G.I. Joe #fightershout next week!
Special one time mention about X-Men '92 issue 1 coming out next week. If you enjoyed the old school Marvel / Capcom fighters, X-Men vs. Street Fighter through Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and want to check out or revisit 90s Marvel well here you go!
Well, the Street Fighter x GI Joe comic is out. here are my thoughts. (most of it pretty subjective).

I thought the first fight with Guile was well done, pretty good dialogue.
The Chun-Li one fight against āDanā is the one that got me really rattled. I thought she was gonna advance, easily, but they pulled out the twist. It was a Joe villain in disguise. Kinda ticked. I felt Chun-Li was cheated and shouldāve won. But thatās my overly biased opinion. Hoping she has a stronger role in issues later down the road. Or in future SF comics.
Finally, the fight i enjoyed the most was the last one: Bison v. Cammy⦠or dare i say: Beat down. Cammy got her ass handed to her in the most brutal fashion. I know SF has this reputation of being caricatured, or cartoony, or fantastical. But when you add a litle bit of darkness, a hint of brutality, and when you up the terror scale a bit, you get something engaging. I genuinely felt scared and sorry for Cammy, hoping she would survive.[/details]
[details=Spoiler]While I enjoyed the twist with Dan turning out to be Zartan, it does suck that we rarely see Chun-Li in English language comics win any fights against other video game characters, on any major / important characters period! I mean seriously we got her win against Birdie, which was not even in the main Street Fighter comic⦠AND THATāS IT!!! At the very least she does beat up a bunch of Mega Man X robots in Worlds Unite. EVERYONE KEEP UP WITH IAN FLYNN GAAAAAWD!!! Well sheās not out of the story yet, just out of the tourney. I suppose she has still has time to beat people up in the background, like Iām expecting Ryu to do later on.
The Cammy fight was strange. Is she not aware in this world that she wasnāt kidnapped, she is a clone? Itās true in this universe as well as itās in her bio in the back of the book. I suppose not or they wanted to create a SF2 styled meeting of sorts.
I agree that the beat down was brutal and quite enjoyable. Cape with a backpack was hilarious and a nice throwback to the old G.I. Joe toys. They used to have these holes on their backs where you could attach stuff, you could put any characterās backpack on any character ROFL!
Thereās also a mistake in her bio where it says Cammy is from Turkey. I think that was meant for Hakan and someone screwed up. We donāt know exactly where sheās from / where she was created, just that she resides in England now. Unless they are trying to say the Shadaloo cloning facility was in Turkey, but somehow I doubt it.[/details]
Overall enjoyed it and looking forward to see what happens next!
