Good issue, but not quite the smoothest transition and explanation for Chun-Li’s opening predicament scene in issue #1, seemed a little odd to me. Still lookin’ forward to next month.

Looks like the Street Fighter Unlimited #3 Cover B Variant, the Ultra Jam Puzzle Cover is hitting comic book stores next week. So it didn’t make it in time with the rest of the covers that are available today.

Canon to the games - No. Only thing canon to the games are the games themselves and official sources and statements from Capcom of Japan.

Canon to the comic - Probably not. Only things that look like they will get mentioned or referenced regarding SFIV are the SFIV comic and bits in the recent graphic novels. Especially moving forward since the SF Ultimate comic seems to be merging aspects of everything.

For what it’s worth, whenever the Sonic The Hedgehog comic does a story to promote an upcoming game which contradicts the comic book storyline because the game in question is a re-release of a game the series already covered and things like that, the story is labeled as taking place ‘In Another Time, In Another Place.’

This is probably the best way to look at promotional stuff for games like the SFIV Target comic or the SFx Tekken comic. At least until something in the Street Fighter Ultimate comic says otherwise.

Well, I wrote it and the answer is - no it’s not really part of the comics continuity. It was just created to showcase the new characters in the game.

By the way - STREET FIGHTER UNLIMITED #4 is in stores March 2! Gosh these seem to be coming out fast, don’t they? :wink:

I was surprised by most of the fights. Safe to say the my bracket for who was going to make it past the first round got busted.

For me, it’s kind of hard to be engaged in this first issue, i guess it was mostly because there were 4 fights and very little time to explain the main conflict. But a still a action packed exciting issue.

Was fine with the outcomes, the one that I wasn’t it was pretty obvious that said person threw the fight (spoiler free, last fight in the book). Thought it was fun! Can’t wait to see what happens next!
