Lots more info on the upcoming Street Fighter and G.I. Joe crossover! It will feature a 16 character tournament and you can see who made the cut just by scrolling down as they are all pictured. Pretty cool that a few SF4 characters and one SF Alpha character made the cut!

Really enjoyed Mega Man #55, but boy it sure read like a final issue and not a hiatus issue.

I sure wish we knew exactly what was the reason for the hiatus.

Hopefully, it’s so a new comic can line up with the upcoming cartoon in 2017 from Man of Action. Even better if a new game is coming with it too, but who can say.

Hoping that’s what it is and not Archie going through some restructuring. They are cancelling Sonic Boom too but no one really cares about it anyway.

Anyway it was a great run. Wish we could see all of the seeds Flynn planted play out, especially what he was doing with Mr. X. Ah well, best scenario would be the book returns as is. Guess we’ll see what happens.

  1. So what do you think guys, who might Ryu be visiting next issue? I suppose it will be Retsu… Finally best time to re-integrate SF1 characters into the storyline. Waiting for Eagle, Geki, Joe and Lee make an appearance, too.

  2. And who is the new Dictator - Twelve? Why has he no secretary and self-loving Claw is serving him?

  5. I only wished the main story would be longer - propper 24 pages, like it should be. Don’t care for the sub-story or street funnies. They should be an add-on, not helping the to fill out the book for 4 US$.

  6. That’s really great to that MattMoylan takes part in this forum. Nowdays it’s very important for the creators and fans to be able to communicate directly. It helps the hype and makes the final product better. Udon, take an example on IDW’s TMNT. On the foums.technodrome.com there is a very active discussion and the result is simply the best comic on the market. Take that as an example and become one as well :slight_smile:
    Or are the creators already on an other forum, exept for this?

  7. Is there an english language forum, where you can talk to the creators of the current SFV videogame? Influence them in regard of new characters and game adjustments?

My guess is Ryu’s visiting Retsu and either F.A.N.G. from SFV or the supposed rumored / final / true boss of SFV tentatively named “Tut” (if F.A.N.G. isn’t indeed the final boss and Tut is a false rumor) is wearing the dictator outfit. But your guess is as good as mine at this point.

Here’s my thoughts

  1. My guess is Retsu also. But i’m gonna throw a wild outlying guess and say it could be Oro?

  2. My guess is it could be either Seth of F.A.N.G… But it makes me wonder why they haven’t revealed his face.

  3. I didn’t notice it until i saw it again! O_O

  4. Who knows, maybe those characters, or even hagar himself could reappear in SFV, cameo or playable?

  5. Agreed. I don’t mind the funnies, but I would like more content on the main story also. Funnies and the mini comic is a nice extra. But we came for the main story, maybe have a mini comic that relates to it or would be a set up for a future issue

Finally found and picked up Mega Man #55, at the local bookstore no less. Good issue, here’s to hoping it’ll be back someday again.

I share in Dr. Light’s confusion for MM9 though, also what was with that countdown? :expressionless:

I think the countdown had to do with the fact that those robots had government sanctioned expiration dates and were eventually going to be shut down, kicking the events of Mega Man 9 off. They felt they were living on borrowed time once Doctor Wily convinced them to turn against humanity.

It was nice seeing where Flynn would place the Gameboy games. Also cool how the second Quint image was placed after Mega Man and Bass, meaning it could also be an image for the Mega Man and Bass sequel that never came to the US. Since the game has to do with the same timeline that produced Quint.

Might even be ‘Rockman Shadow’ pictured really. This would be the second time Flynn snuck him in the book. Capcom doesn’t fully own the rights to Mega Man and Bass’ sequel so Flynn can’t use him freely. Lucky that Quint and Rockman Shadow look similar lol!

Hmm…interesting. Still the whole page feels like something’s off, maybe because they don’t all look sad or they don’t all look frustrated, but it’s like half-and-half. Also in the game Rockman has a firm but stern resolve to deal with them as RM9 commences, whereas here he wants to earnestly redeem them ala all the previous robot masters in the comic’s continuity…I dunno.

Finally I don’t believe I’d seen so many MM-grabbed-by-the-throat instances before lol.
