Hmm IMO it should be a tribute book like the Darkstalkers one from months ago.
Either way…Omar Dogan’s my fav. artists at UDON, I’ve pretty much outgrown their art style for the most part.
Got another Tweet that the Marvel vs. Capcom art book that said, “Looks official, all the art is collab stuff from the @UdonCrew from what we saw, maybe a Tribute book could be next?”

Next week’s a big Mega Man week! Mega Man #4 on the comic book end of things. Also volume 2 of the Gigamix manga. All that and TWO art books! Mega Man Star Force Official Complete Works and the Mega Man Tribute book! 
With all the Megaman talk going on forums, I think that the fans should really consider reading the Megaman comic, as it’s the closest they’ll get ATM to getting anything Megaman related.
Plus the book is pretty good IMO.
Darkstalkers: The Ultimate Edition will be released around November 2011. Collects the entire 1st and 2nd series (the 9 issue series). Hopefully if a new darkstalkers game is announced they will continue the series! We just haven’t heard anything in so long…
I’d love to see more Darkstalkers comics, want to see what Lilith gets to do.
The Mega Man Tribute book is hands down the best tribute book from Udon yet. Probably because people have thousands upon thousands of characters to exploit and they did. :tup: Battle Network and Star Force didn’t get a lot of love but just me I’m more of a fan of the OG storyline - Classic - X - Zero - ZX - MML - so there was plenty for me to be happy about.
The Mega Man comic ended strong. Really good adaptation of the first game. Can’t wait for the next series. Oh and there was a surprise at the end heh heh!

Mega Man Gigamix volume 2 manga was crazy. They are KILLING a whole bunch of Dr. Wily’s robots in this story DAMN! Violence is good! :badboy:

Wow, haven’t been on here in a while. Is the Mega Man series already over? Or just the first arc? So is the future of Street Fighter comics in limbo? I haven’t heard anything from UDON in forever.
Yeah just the first arc for Mega Man is over. There’s going to be another four issue series called ‘Time Keeps Slipping’ which will begin with issue #5.
Not to spoil the first arc, but judging from where it left off I don’t think they will jump into MM2 right away. Hard to say though because there’s always a chance of a looser adaptation.
Udon is no longer putting out comics, as in single issues but still has a Street Fighter Legends Akuma graphic novel coming out. Last Tweet I read about that said it won’t be out until early 2012 at least.
There’s also going to be a Marvel vs. Capcom art book featuring official artwork. The exact date, I have no idea since I only came across this info through Udon’s Tweets.
Hopefully when they have something to show us we’ll get more info on both.

You’re right most likely. Haven’t looked into much regarding that book in a long time.

Whoops, no I wasn’t. “Origins” is what it says at the end of my Ibuki #4 issue, and yeah it was slated for a supposed Spring 2011 release back then. We can hope it won’t take more than a year later until we see it, but…
Street Fighter Legends Ultimate TP and the Monster Hunter Illustrations SC book both come out next week!
They should’ve included SFIV within this one IMO, unless they plan to crank out any other SF4-related series.
really?! I was looking on Amazon and they have the Ultimate as pushed back to January for some reason.
but yeah I really wish Udon would get back to work on some actual comics. I don’t want to speak ill of them but frankly all the art books and tribute books (witch is basically just them getting deviant art to do all the work anyways) is just lazy. Now would be the perfect time to do a real SF3 book with 3s online coming out in a week, or hell even a proper 4 book. There are plenty of Capcom games that’d make awesome minis too. A 4 issue Dino Crisis book, Id buy that in an instant.
The Akuma graphic novel was advertised as Spring 2011 and we haven’t even seen so much as preview or production art? The hell is going on at Udon.
Like I always say, I only go by comic book store dates and only a week in advance. 1,000 % reliable. Amazon, not really.
Note that whatever I say is all about what will be in comic book stores next week. It bears no reflection on what Barnes or Amazon.com will have. Sometimes they get books before comic book stores and sometimes they don’t. NEVER trust their release dates.
My apologies to those who do not have comic book stores near them but seriously Amazon and book stores need a better system with release dates for anything that isn’t called Harry Potter. It’s like they want to lose out to Ipad and the net I swear.
Places like midtowncomics.com will mail you a copy of the Legends book next week if you don’t want to wait for Amazon.
BTW the Ar Tonelico art book has been in comic book stores for 2 weeks now. I just keep forgetting to mention it. This book features a bunch of guys the Darkstalkers beat up on during Cross Edge.
