Wasn’t Joe NG Talking about/Hinting at a Juri Sf Legends Series at some point? Hope that comes out soon
Haven’t heard anything about that in a long time. On Twitter, Studio Udon said they will have some big announcements at SDCC so I hope some of them are SF related at least.
Mega Man 2 was great once again! And some more Capcom cameos!
Mega Man guest stars
Spoiler
Unknown Soldiers #1 and #2 of Forgotten Worlds show up! Much like that Street Fighter that showed up in the last issue their designs were tweaked so they could fit in Mega Man’s world. And we never learn their names in the story. Guess they really are unknown soldiers huh?
Regarding Udon, I came across this in Comic Shop News this week.
"Udon Entertainment is discontinuing its line of periodical comics; instead, the company will publish its comics projects as 8.25" and 11.25" hardcovers… “While comic book sales are down all of the industry,” Udon Managing Editor Matt Moylan said, "Udon continues to do very well with our trade paperbacks and art books. We’re taking the best of both by producing full length graphic novels at the same oversized dimensions that readers of our art books and ‘Ultimate Edition’ collections have come to enjoy."
Kind of too bad since I loved reading the Street Fighter comics in single issues when they were being released. Still looking forward to the Akuma TPB however.
I knew those 2 guys looked familiar, thanks for the info
Megaman 2
[details=Spoiler]Come on, not bring up how they’re rushing through the events? I mean they defeat 3 of the 6 in one issue. I can understand why though seeing how they want to wrap this up in 4 issues. Still the issue was satisfying.
I like how Dr. Light yelled out Blues, seems that’s his name before becoming Protoman, and the Sniper Joe thing is interesting since that’s what his sprite was in Rockman 3.
Also Gutsman talking about manliness is part of his official bio, I mean come on, just go Youtube his Battle and Chase theme song, it has Otoko in it’s title (Otoko=man).
…and Cutman tossing out ‘cut’ puns has to do with how in JP bios he says the SFX of cutting in Japanese[/details]
Solid work overall and looking forward for more next issues =)
Kodansha drops a Phoenix Wright manga next week. Fate / Stay Night vol. 11 comes out too!

The new Phoenix Wright manga was really cool. In the second story there’s a spider fanatic named Bobby who collects Spider-Man comics too lol nice!

It’s a shame that Udon is discontinuing Street Fighter, as a periodical anyway. I was hoping they would at least make it to the Street Fighter III series.
I remember a long time ago I read that Masahiko Nakahira was working on a Street Fighter IV book. Is there any truth to that? I think I read this around the time Super Street Fighter IV was coming out, so surely we would have heard something by now?
I feel like a broken record when I say that the Ibuki comic has more or less become the SF III comic. Just because Alex and Q weren’t in it doesn’t mean it doesn’t count.
Damm… when I read Masahiko Nakahira I crossed names and I thought you wrote Masaomi Kanzaki. Now that would have been awesome.
… but I don’t care about Masahiko Nakahira at all…
I don’t believe I ever heard anything about such a book; I’ll have to check out Nakahira-sensei’s website and see if he mentioned anything there.
If you don’t mind my asking, how come?
WOW I DID NOT KNOW THE MONSTER HUNTER ORAGE MANGA WAS COMING OUT IN ENGLISH!!! NEXT WEEK!!!
I got the books in Japanese years ago and really liked it. It was done by one of the assistants on One Piece, so it reads more like One Piece meets Monster Hunter than an actual game. Hell I like the manga better than the games lol!
Another issue of Mega Man comes out next week too!
Happy July Fourth Holiday to those who celebrate! Be safe.

You know who really would benefit from a maxi-series?
Gen.
Think about it, he’s an 80+ year old assassin; there’s bound to be some story to tell about his life as an assassin til the years of the SF series.
Udon will be selling the SF Legends Ultimate Edition book and the Mega Man Legends Tribute book at SDCC.
Well obviously it was a SF III comic, no one is questioning that. What I meant was that I wished they got to do the 12 issue SF III series they were planning. Sorry I should have been more specific in my post.
Well, I don’t have the books, but I’ve read various reviews and comments on his Cammy, Sakura and Ryu works, and they all sound meh and silly to me, no matter how enthusiast the reviewer is about them. I always read any comments about them carefully when I have the chance, trying to find something that makes me interested since many people like them, but it hasn’t happened so far. And I’m not willing to buy the books just to prove me right or wrong when I’m most probably not liking them*.
- I did pay 3€ for the SFA anime in the bargain bin once, knowing it sucked hard (I had watched it for free beforehand) just for collecting purposes (I didn’t even actually watch it again), but those books are more expensive.
The SF3 Ryu manga is just Ryu winning every battle against some of the SF3 cast.
The stories are just very simplistic IMO…
Udon drops a big art book for the Sega video game series, Valkyria Chronicles Design Archive next week.
Dead Rising comic coming soon from IDW word!
Hmmm hope it’s good.
I read on Udon’s Twitter that they are releasing a Marvel vs. Capcom artwork book a few hours ago. Don’t really have details at the moment.
