Slightly OT and I’m hella late finding out about this LOL! Del Ray is gonna release the Phoenix Wright manga in English! In case you don’t know, the main character designer of the Phoenix Wright video games is Edayan of Rival Schools fame. Anyway, the first volume is supposed to drop in March. TAKE THAT! :lovin:

Really OT lol but a manga based on the Shin Megami Tensei video games from Atlus is slated to hit stores in the US in February! As you may or may not know, Dante of Devil May Cry did appear in Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne so there is a Capcom connection, of course not in this manga ha ha! Anyway, in return for Dante appearing in the game, Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne character designer Kazuma Kaneko designed Dante’s Devil May Cry 3 Devil Trigger transformation! Anyway the SMT games are very dark and have pretty deep storylines, it should turn out to be a really great manga. I’ll be keeping an eye on this one! GO ATLUS! :tup:

OK i need to know something-
What are and how many Capcom related comic book volumes and TPB have UDON released so far?
I plan to try to collect as much of them as possible this year.

Checking Ebay’s another way to go.
Briefly, they have Street Fighter(four books in total), Street Fighter Legends Sakura (one book) Darkstalkers (one book) and Rival Schools (two single issues only).
For their translated manga they have Street Fighter II (one book so far), Street Fighter III Ryu Final (one book so far), Sakura Ganbaru! (two books) Street Fighter Alpha (two books) and Onimusha (2 books).

Anyway, is there any updates on if any of the other two comic series (ds/rs) will get another release? Information seems scarce with this SF2HD Project udon has working on them.

No idea on when DS/RS are returning, only that Udon wants to continue them and they still have the licenses for both franchises. At best I wouldn’t expect anything until 2009 or later.

UDON should consider doing some future cross over Capcom comics 
SNK and Marvel have both shot Udon down for crossovers, so not gonna happen. Best way to bring these things about is to bug SNK and Marvel about it. Udon wants to, they don’t.

SVC Chaos vol. 8 finally wrapped the series, yikes 3 years to finish but big up to DrMaster for FINALLY getting it done. 
Hey maybe I’m just clapping so I don’t have to mention that the artwork is good but not the story for the 9th time. Anyway in the back of the book there’s an ad for their translation of the Hong Kong manga King of Fighters 2003, promising that it will return in March of 2008. I guess with SVC out of the way they can finally get back to that. Cool man, some KOF on the stands is better than none! :tup: So far the '03 comic hasn’t been as, well psychotic as the SVC comic, no one riding dinosaurs or regrowing limbs… Well so far… 
As a plus it is unflopped though. :tup:
The Shin Megami Tensei manga drops next week, 2/13/08. Hey, Dante of Devil May Cy was in Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne! Of course he won’t be in this manga… Ah well, close as I can get to some kinda sort of Capcom annoucement this week… 
Hmm I probably should start shouting out whenever the Mega Man Battle Network manga drops but I’m about 5 volumes behind in my reading so I don’t exactly keep track of it… It seems to come out fairly random too…

That’s a bookstore date so I don’t know. They are different than comic book store dates which is what I go by. I’ll check to see if it hits comic book shops next week…
Neither Diamond or Midtown have updated their lists of comics shipping next Wednesday, so couldn’t tell you. We usually catch an update on Fridays, so maybe later in the day.
Book stores, not a hundred percent sure but AFAIK they recieve new materials on Tuesdays, the same day new magazines drop. So if Amazon says Friday, that’s the shipping date, which is different from the actual date. I don’t think anyone gets anything new on Fridays, at least not on the regular. So 15 “kind of” means 19 at best. Again, not a hundred percent sure… Online orders, I’m even more clueless as to how that works with dates and stuff…
LOL I think everything drops on Tuesdays except for comic books and video games. Movies/DVDs, books, magazines - Tuesdays.
Video games annoyingly like to list their shipping dates as release dates which is always a Tuesday, but it’s really the day after that it will be in gaming stores. Always add one day to any date you see on Gamefaqs. Which is a Wednesday. LOL I can’t count how many times I read about someone wining that their video game was late because it wasn’t in the store on Tuesday.
Wish I did know of a weekly listing that book stores get new stuff which is what Amazon goes by, but I don’t really or even know if they keep such a thing around like that online the way comics do. I’d look into it but I dunno man more of a book store forum thing. :looney: Though book stores ‘seem’ to change the dates they are recieving things faster than comic shops do, except of course for things that are announced months in advance, those are always subject to change.
OT EDIT - Whoa, the Shin Megami Tensei Kahn manga has cursing, nudity, someone’s guts spilled out on the floor and… LESBIAN SEX! The book RULES! But since I don’t want any annoying parents coming after me it’s so not for kids, under 17 not admitted and all of that.
Midtown’s list is updated. Yeah Udon doesn’t have anything coming out next week in comic book shops. :sad:
Damn. Well I guess I can still check some local book stores and shops today and see if they think they’ll be getting it in. Hopefully Udon will release a solid date.
Studio Udon drops Dorothy of Oz Vol. 2 and Star Project Chiro 2 next wednesday, March 5th. Hopefully the rest of their Street Fighter manga isn’t too far away.
