I really liked sub-zero and scorpion as characters since the first game.
this is probably a good game to know more about them
Last I saw it was 10/15 bucks, no big deal

no, cause MK2 has 2 god tiers.
When you can repeat the noob fireball+uppercut over and over for an infinite, I think even novices can figure out that the game is “broken”… broken isn’t a term exclusive to fighting games either.
No. Sub Zero and Jax were gods in MK3. Both were balanced down in UMK3 where Kabal is the best character but he isn’t a god tier character. There is no god tier.
Back in the day MK was fun, Fatalities, cool nasty characters, fanservice, etc.
But I could never take a MK game seriously, and every thing after 3 was all downhill to me…
What made Jax great in 3? I remember his combo strings somewhat challenging to get down like Kung Lao. Did they improve his grabs?
If he is without a doubt the best character in the game, then by UMK3’s particular tiering system he would be their God tier.
Kabal is number 1 but he can be beaten, hes still not god tier in UMK3.
Utterly and Kompletely wrong.
Mortal Kombat Special Forces was the absolute gutter butt worse of the bunch. It was plastic shit in a case.
What about Sub-Zero mythologies?
Well unfortunately I’ma a MK fan too…LOL! And I have to keep it real, MKA is my fav. To me (since everyone is broken and u can stop the broken crap via breakers) it seems the most balanced. It has the highest replay value, and I’ve never seen an air combo infinite in high level play.
But I also love playing UMK3, I fucking hate MK2. MK8 hopefully will be a better game, but for now…I’ll continue to play MKA!
MKA for Evolution 2008 baby!!! Yeah!!!
when it comes down to MK I only liked the first and second ones. after those I out tired of it and realized SF was a much better game. MK was fun for the blood and fatalities, friendships, and pit knock downs but they get old fast. When I think of MK now I think of gimmicks. Now only thing to do is wait for George Foreman to Fatality out the fat then MK is a keeper
Lol I don’t even recall the game. I had heard MK Advance was also bad because of the sloppy controls.
anyone have tiers for Puzzle Kombat. Even though not to many people play on wi-fi
I started with 2, and liked MK3:Ultimate, then I got trilogy for PS.
The new stages and music was good.
When 4 came out it, it killed it for me.
MK3 Jax has a more abuseable fireball. A very very abuseable fireball. In UMK3 they increased the recovery time on it pretty heavily.
And Sub was overpowering in MK3 but in UMK3 they altered his ice clone so that it couldn’t be done on top of someone any more. In MK3, you can ice clone on top of someone and freeze them even when they are blocking.
Kabal was still good. But he wasn’t quite as overpowering. In UMK3, they reduced Kabal’s combo damage but the real value of him is not in his combos so he stayed nice and high.
Mortal Kombat storyline is deep!!!
Check these too:
Quan Chi gave Shinnok the fake amulet during MK Mythologies. So if it wasn’t for Shujinko and Noob Saibot then there wouldn’t be an MK Armageddon!!! All the below are canon.

Looks like Scorpion’s and Sub Zero’s (Not Noob Saibot) MK4 endings is also canon:

Quan Chi is the announcer for MK4, MK5, and MK6, I think he’s also the announcer for MK7 but not sure. Shang Tsung is MK1’s and Shao Kahn is MK2 - MKT
Games with braindead shit like 1, 1, U+3 for an infinite (Moloch) don’t belong in Evo.
Ever.
If they ever consider MK:A (which I doubt), they’ll have to do the following:
1)Ban Aerial Infinites/Resets. I remember being beaten down by another player one time (he was playing Smoke and I was playing Mavado), and I was reduced to about 2% of life left. One pop-up and several Aerial Infinites later, I won and he was dead. Seriously, WTF? Even I don’t believe how easy (and cheesy) it is to pull off a comeback in this game.
2)Ban the following characters:
…any character that you can’t throw and can’t effectively plaster with projectiles is way too powerful in this game. I’m well aware that Goro and Kintaro aren’t even close to top tier for being too slow, but a smart player can actually use the ‘Boss Boost’ to their advantage throughout the whole match. Goro, in particular, can block throughout a whole match without flinching, and punish with the Ground Slam. Believe it or not, Sareena and Noob, despite being cheap, are manageable. (Although Sareena really borderlines it with “Knife, Knife, Knife, 1,2, CS, Repeat”)
