"whats a kick" - barlog thread

nah. even jab rush kkb is easy with practice/mashing
thing is they have to mash jab during each of your rush punches, for the whole match. not sure how much itll happen outside of the highest level. cuz ppl lazy af

I can get jab rush kkb, it’s only mp I’m struggling with

PR_Rog is getting so much better. his new assessment as of yesterday on his stream was, rog is good. top tier if someone like with impeccable defense like Justin wong uses him. His damage/stun is crazy. it’s all about how good your defense is without using v-reversal, since rog v-trigger is so damn good. He also now understands and thinks rog is balanced. (due to just how ridiculous his v-trigger is, it might have been too much if he had a reversal). He also does not consider him a beginner character and that the learning curve is high, due to the defense needed and his large hurt box.

Yea I think he is more difficult to use because he isn’t this rush down monster people thought he was.

That overhead might as well not exist about a month from now.

Damn so just use empty vskill ans throw

Im having a hard time learn his advanced stuff. Just wish we has every meterless 1 bar 2 bae 3 bar stuff written down on a data sheet or what ever

I think he’s best of both worlds, you mix between rushdown and poking depending on match-up and life difference. I’ve had my fun with Rog for now anyways, I’ll hit the lab again later and look for more pressure stuff. I at least need to go and try Ibuki out so I know what she does, haven’t looked into her at all so far

So no google docs with all the frame traps block strings and combos?

LordWill has a frame data spreadsheet, you just use the numbers to identify the frame traps

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1phr4jOfiXuaLxZgE1vk1myee_QK2RqP_M2cmnXOERDE/edit#gid=1531991050

Im not good at identify all that anyone got a list i want to write some notes for eveything on my phone so i got one place to look its all scattered here

3f or lower -

cr.lp > st.lp

st.lp/cr.lp > st.mp

st.hk > st.mk

st.mk > st.mp

st.hk > cr.mp

4f -

st.mk > st.mk

st.mk > cr.mp

cr.lp > cr.mp

cr.lk > st.mp

Doubt you’d need 5f, just do staggered blockstrings for anything slower

Im not sure what you mean by 3 f 4 f? Im still new

Like 3f frame trap? I grt what a frame trap is essitnally probally do it and not notice

Yeah I wrote a list of frame trap as asked, I have some combos on page 1 but they’re pretty basic. The ones above beat their respective category, 3 frame and 4 frame normals

Yeah but whats a 3frame frame trap ?.
How do you get wall bounce tap?

C’mon now dude don’t ask for something if you don’t know what it is lmao.

If they press a 3 frame or 4 frame normal during your blockstring they’ll be stuffed out of it and you’ll get a counter-hit, that’s what it is - a gap of frames that traps the opponent into a non-true blockstring.

Wall bounce TAP is called final TAP, it’s a TAP that’s been charged for around 30-40 seconds.

So that wall bounce will be rare i got the basic understanding of what a frame trap \ block string is just didnt know there was frame specific.

Im still new to the game trying to get better

I set the ai to be on random block anything every now and then i turn on counter

What else could i do to improve overall. My first street fighter

I think the overhead will remain relevant. People still eat the heavy versions of Birdie and Karin’s leaping attacks every now and then.

mashing jab trades though:

This post is related to RB rog play earlier.
RB putting on that style. I don’t think I’ve seen PR Balrog play with quite this degree of confidence yet:
That’s because PR Rog still thinks he’s playing SF4.

The RB footage is good but it isn’t solid play, half of his opponents give him a lot of respect from things he was negative on. RB pulling out the online tactics lmao
