Well there is a reset in there but that’s really it, it’s CC St.hk - walk forward > St.hk xx VTC > cr.hp xx dash straight(x3) xx v-skill overhead(reset) > St.mp xx dash straight(x3) - stun - j.hk > cr.hp xx h.dash upper > l.dash straight xx SUPERRRR
Basically no reason never to block high, or more to the point just mash jab if you are blocking already because there isn’t a downside. Basically anything from VT punches into overhead is pretty fraudulent.
The only threat is that he can vskill cancel into empty and then use a low, so just gotta watch out for that vskill. But yeah theres no reason to block low really during strings.
Alright, Balrog vs. Cammy is officially pushing my butthole in. Fucking Cannon Spike pushes her out of range for a crush counter and all versions are invincible so she can just light DP after everything and stay safe with the goddamn 15 frames of delay that Online SFV seems to innately have thanks to Capcom fucking up every good idea they had after SFIV.
Goddamn I am salty about Cammy. Least Guile and Rashid seem to be pretty in Rog’s favour; only lost to that one NIgerian fucker due to frame drops on his goddamn full screen roll into throw.
With the utmost respect for him, I don’t care or understand why people are looking to him to tell us about or pick Balrog up in SFV. He is a player like the rest of us. This culture forming around top players with character loyalty in SF4 to tell us about their SFV version and play them again is annoying. It’s a new game, it’ll have new top level players and new character loyalist regardless.
Yup, basically this. Rog hasn’t proven himself in SFV yet so his word as best Balrog in the world only applies to SFIV as of right now. Now judging his actual gameplay that I watched, his Balrog atm is bad.
i think his complaints are legit. but if he stuck with rog in sf4 he can do it again in sfv.
also no rog player is even close to optimized. for punishes, 3 piece does more than jab into jab rush. and c. strong should always go into low rush for oki. and rush feint into overhead is kind of a fake mixup.
