So I keep missing H.Sentsuizan xx Buster>Raikosen L. Am I doing something wrong or do I need to use M Sentsuizan?
Also, when should I time drones in my combos and should I take out Wesker for Vergil on Anchor? Thanks doods.
Maybe you’re doing raikousen too slow, try to do it as soon as you release buster. Wesker doesnt really help Zero that much, Vergil is better imo.
For sentinel, you want to use him right at the end of your combos, so that you’re already in the corner and go:
OTG H sentsuizan xx Buster > L Raikousen (start charging buster), call drones + S, sj.S and otg M Sentsuizan (drones hit) air lv3 Buster > L raikousen xx Sougenmu.
You need to do the M Sentsuizan while you are high in the air after sj.S, Zero dissapears and comes falling with that already just as the drones are passing.
what diveman said. its easier with m sentsuizan but you could also do l hienkyaku s.H (3 hits) and get comparable damage.

I’m using the team in my signature and am wondering what the best ways to use Hawkeye assist for extensions with Zero are. I’d like to be able to use the Vergil S—>S extension in the corner; is there a good consistent corner carry with Hawkeye assist? If not, how should I use it in the corner relaunch sequence? Thanks so much!
You don’t need Hawkeye if you do this:

For throw combos you might need him if you don’t want to use Vergil, its just call hawkeye and otg H dive.
I also use team flocker :D. tbh, zero doesn’t really need an assist for corner carry combos anymore (there are a BUNCH of different variations you can find throughout this thread and zero forums). I personally like the drew grimey one But I do get lazy sometimes and use hawkeye’s arrows for the relaunch midscreen.
His greyhound(triple arrow) assist is really fast so you have to call it right when you’re jumping and go immediately into H-dive into S for the relaunch. The timing can get a little tricky but it’s extremely doable after a little bit of practice. the arrows dont scale much so it’s great for overall damage
OK men, I need some assistance with some Zero tech
I’m having trouble consistently comboing off of his instant overhead in matches (for those that don’t know it’s TK qcf+L > j.L > j.L > s.L > combo), I think this is usually because the height of my TKs usually varies and characters have different crouching hitboxes, so when it comes to linking j.L and s.L I screw up the timing completely
What I wanted to know was, is there any downside to using any of his other air normals in place of j.L? Everything else I can combo off of easy, but I’m unsure if the speed difference between his j.L and his other air normals are slower to the point where people will be able to react to it

I find j.M works just as well tbh + it’s more reliable as far as combos go.

My starter with taskmaster also works with hawkeye (although hawkeye will whiff on some smaller characters, so be careful). At the start of the combo when you go from standing H to f H, call hawkeye right after the second hit of f H. After arrows hit, follow up with another f H then go into the combo Diveman posted. If you don’t happen to have Vergil available, follow up the arrows with s M, s H, f H again into whatever you want since there will be less hit stun deterioration at the end to worry about.
I picked up Zero a few weeks ago, and I’m having an unbelievably difficult time getting in with this character. I’m not sure how people do it. In particular, against characters like Morrigan, Dormammu, or Chris, but I’m still just struggling in general with my mobility. Command dashes, air dashes, and lightnings are all relatively unsafe (although the buster helps, obviously), but I can never get in to land that clean hit, and I’m hardly ever close enough to do any sort of mixup with jam session it feels like. Any help would be appreciated. Ultimately, maybe I’m just bad with assist calls, but a lot of it is me feeling that all of Zero’s methods of movement are unsafe in some way.
Also, I guess a major problem is that I have trouble confirming off of jam session against characters at super jump height. What do you guys do here? I’m guessing it’s impossible without a buster charged. Usually I attempt sj.2H j.S buster and teleport down, but often I end up flying past them during the 2H.
I’m currently running Zero/Dante/Felicia (either low assist or OTG assist, kind of torn here), what do you guys think? I’m dabbling around with replacing Felicia with Doom, Vergil, or Wesker, but Felicia’s anchor capabilities are great and the low assist is awesome for Dante and not too shabby for Zero. The only thing I’m worried about is that I have so much trouble getting in, and it’s noticeably easier with missiles and rapid slash is a pretty nice full screen “projectile”, not to mention Felicia can’t extend Zero combos at all.
