My first look at zero today went awesome, it felt like I had played with him before, despite not having doing so. I can definitely see some more time for zero in my playthrough because I’m trying to build another team. I can use more work in landing his supers, but his combos I seem to execute very well. I haven’t played with characters so far with a great jump-in, but zero can do it pretty good.
I drop all my zero combos online because of the delay and strict timing bewtween Forward H > S. L
But i still rape because of his command dashes ability to hawk people who try and roll away.
i preffer to do assist relaunch based combos with senzuisan online, they are more simple and the damage is practicaly the same
can someone tell me his go to midscreen combo, corner combo and air combo.
i know there is a combo thread but if u had read my post you would know i am asking which one should i learn first because there are so many. which would be most effiecent and also help me learn the other combos. whats his go to bnb that i should learn first.
L > M > H > f+H > S > j.M > j.M> j.H> j.S > Rekkouha
This’ll probably be your main combo till you get a hang of the advanced stuff
His simplest combo that involves a charge Buster would be:
c.L [charge] > c.M > c.H > f+H > L > M > H > f+H > S > j.M > j.M > Lvl 3 Buster > L. Raikousen > S > j.M > j.M > j.H > Rekkouha
For the above combo you can add another ground string after the second f+H before you launch
thanks alot but i hate learning the simple version only to re;earn the muscle memory for the hard one. So would i just learn the second one with a second string like u said.
How do you guys deal with push-blocking? I’m not a Zero player, just curious is all. I was playing today, and this Zero player was bullying me like crazy, really putting on the pressure until I snapped out of it and started to push block him and his entire game plan fell apart. I know you can bait it out, any other methods? Be interesting to hear what the other side of the fence has to say.
If you do charge combos you should have some buster charged after the pushblock, i usually shoot it to keep them in blockstun, jump and do his command dash b to cross them up and overhead them with J.H.
Bait out pushblock and shoot them in the face, since every normal can be cancelled into a very fast-moving projectile. Same way he dealt with it in TvC. Pushblocking zero in TvC was suicide, and I’m sure once people get good at baiting it in this game it will be the same way. It’s not like it even requires any reactions or execution like a hit-confirm into combo for instance since you just let go of a button when you see them fail push-block and throw out an attack and you don’t need to do any actual motion.
so, is there any use for :h: raikosen?
I haven’t really had time to look into the thread but is there a way too make a Zero using Sougenmu to connect both level 3 Zero buster shots ?
Because confirming a H hadangeki into the fully charged zero buster and then Genmu Zero would look way better if while using Sougenmu both shot connected. It kinda looks like a missed combo. Not really practical since you still need 4 hyper for a combo that do only 700k but still.
Hum, i might try to X factor the zero bustor into another hadangeki. Might work.
Basically just to extend your time in the air. You can use it to avoid falling into a Sentinel drone super or just to stall for a timeout win. That’s about all I can think of though. The fact that the lightning doesn’t come out until after Zero travels the full distance makes it pretty useless as an anti-air so that’s about all it’s useful for.
Any good situations for using his DP? I’m having trouble finding situations for it’s use. Seems only useful at the end of combos if you want to kill but have to save meter, and that only usually works with an assist.
Random stuff:
TK 236A is godly and you can combo off it if you set it up right.
Throw is combo-able in the corner with 50Sent’s rocket punch assist, so if you use him (and have no other quicker OTG) you can have fun with that even though the timing feels a little strict. Rocket Punch itself works mid-screen, so bad hit-confirms work well with it for added damage.
Hadangeki loses to Akuma’s ground fireball iirc
I didn’t know Genmu Zero beat out beam supers as well until I tested it today. I feel so stupid, I could have won so many matches with that.
Fixed.
Also worth noting that after the initial charge with the L button, you’d have to shift the charge button around if you want to connect another L > M > H > f+H after the first f+H in order to continue charging without releasing the Z buster. Bit tricky to get a hang of when you’re first starting.
Trag13 Channel Check his channel out for advanced BnB’s and more for Zero (and other characters as well).
I’m finding the use of QCB+H during block string pressure + low assist work well to set up vicious ambiguous high/low off screen mix ups as Zero is coming down with j.H or cr.L. Try it out.
Ive seen trags channel but he doesn’t put the notation so i cant learn them. also for that combo i can add one more L > M > H > f+H and then it would be done ?
Do Zero’s DPs have any invincibility at all? I really want to use them as anti-airs or reversals but they keep trading which is not quite what I want.
according to the strategy guide no
It beats everything - literally everything in the entire game (without invincibility obviously). Any time someone does something random and you have 3 meter, they eat a level 3 super.
