WHATAMIFIGHTINGFOOOOOOOOO!: the MvC3 Zero Thread

whats the trick to get the qcf hyper after a combo on midscreen? for example i combo into launcher then; B B C D (hyper) … i tryed dashing a few steps with A+B plus the foward tap… I dont get it ^^

EDIT

DarkDeath: whats the trick to link the MP HP S after you land after MP MP HP (in air) im not getting it, its like the opponents resets after the MP MP HP (in air) …

Genmu Zero so far as I know can only be eaten alive by Arthur’s level 3 “Fire Dragon”. :slight_smile: It still goes through everything else like Hail Storm, Sent Drones, and the like. If someone else figures out something that beats Zero’s level three please post up so we can all keep notes.

Im having problems with the timing on that Darkdeath combo too… It feels easier on small characters though

oh, you dont have to dash on midscreen combo, the hyper connects anyway, just noticed… >.<

Dreadz18x man, ive tryed it abit, I ask myself if its worth doing in match since the timing seems so damn hard…maybe it becomes easy when you learn the timing tho but this one seems quite hard

It’ll be worth it once we get the timing down…

Dormammu’s Chaotic Flame, any Trish super. That’s all I got for now.

I am going to add a list of what Genmu Zero goes through and what it does not on the matchup thread.

What is L.Setsuizan used for? Is it just a feint or can you use it to extend combos?

I’m almost positive that I’ve beaten Chaotic Flame with Genmu Zero. Maybe he was doing Stalker Flare.

I used to have that problem. Just delay your launcher a bit and you’ll be fine. I used to press S too soon after f.H but now I don’t have any more problems with that.

simply it really is just a feint. you can use it while crossing the opponent to stay closer to them as you descend.

you can also use it to stall in the air longer, whether to bait a long recovery move or to stay away from a super that may chip you etc.

Copy and pasted from the combo thread for more to see:

Second day with the game for me and I came up with this combo. Sorry for the bad quality, my camera is pretty bad.

:d::l::m::h: > :l::m::h: > :f::h: > wesker assist > j.:m: j.:m: :d:j.:h: > launch > j.:m: > full buster shot > :l: Raikousen > launch > j.:m: j.:h: (make sure they’re above you when you do j.:h:) j.:s: > :h: Sentsuizan > Iron Man assist > full buster shot > :l: Raikousen > Genmu Zero

Does anywhere between 830,000 to 930,000. Damage fluctuates for some reason…

Essentially it is easier on smaller characters, Although it does work on big but the :h: in the air has to be timed differently. Also another way (Corner Only) is to do :m:,:m:,:h: in the air, land and just let go of your full charge, it hits everyone. I’ll post it later.

Also the key of the :m:,:m:,:h: is delaying, so test out pausing the hits alot

j. :h: followed by cr. :l: or :m: is unblockable in Sougenmu.

also switching Zero out while in Sougenmu causes his assists to act twice. I think it’s only useful for hadangeki though.

Arthur and Trish absolutely love Genei-Hadangeki assist a lot. (Any keepaway character that loves meter should have Zero-B in their team IMO)

So if j.:h: followed by cr.:l: is unblockable, what are some combos with Sougenmu? Many of the loops don’t work with sougenmu.

the official guide has a combo with clone super. it starts off with j.:h:, c.:j: / :m: for the unblockable and eventually goes into a [ :m:, :h:, :f::h: ] x N loop into :s: j.:m:j.:m: release lvl 3 onward.
i dont have it on me, so i dont know the full combo they used, but you can experiment with that.

I’d figure I’d just leave these in here for a little helper to some. They weren’t perfectly executed and more can be added throughout the combos to really extend them, but you can see how Zero can really take you from anywhere on screen to get you to the corner, and since the combo can be broken up into parts you can somewhat dissect it and start it up from any of the given segments.

Anyone know any good setups for Sougenmu (clone super)?

All I know is cr.:l:,cr.:m:,cr.:h:,f.:h:,SUPER, :l:,:m:,:h:, f.:h:, :s: blah blah blah

Just picked up zero and I’m doing his charge combo rather consistantly (the charge and lightning strike one doing just under 60% DMg) and the most difficult thing for me is connect that first forward H, into the standing light on the ground. Any tips for linking that?

As far as I can tell it can’t be mashed since you need to charge but its really easy to press too early and have it not come out, or too late and they’re on the floor.

Uploaded 2 more combos:

Combo 1 (This one works on all characters, corner only though)

Sentsuizan, :l:(Hold and Charge),:m:,:h:(3hits),:f::h:(3hits),:s:*,(Jump),:m:,:m:,:h:,(land),Charge Shot, :l:,:m:,:h:(3 Hits),:f::h:(3 hits):s:,(Jump) :m:,:m:,:h:,:s:,(Land),:qcf::atk::atk:

Combo 2(this works without wall, You can also replace the beginning with Sentsuizan for more damage)

Air :h:, :l:(Hold and Charge),:m:,:h:(3hits),:f::h:(3hits),:s:,(Jump),:m:,:m:,:h:,(land),:m:,:s:,(Jump):m:,Charge Shot,:dp::l:,(land):s:,(Jump) :m:,:h:,:s:,(Land),:qcf::atk::atk:

I’ve started testing a bunch of team combos (at least my team) for zero, I’ll be posting them later
