WHATAMIFIGHTINGFOOOOOOOOO!: the MvC3 Zero Thread

I’ve been using Zero(a)/???/Doom(Y) a lot.
Trying to figure out my middle character. I’ve experimented a little with almost every body and the most successful have been:
Wesker (B)
Haggar (ANY. Though double lariat is the easiest one, timing wise. but the fact it kills haggar’s health is a major downside)
X-23 (B)
Sentinel (A or Y depending on playstyle)
Deadpool (B)
She-Hulk (Which ever one Torpedo is, I can’t remember)

I knew I wasn’t crazy. I was using this all day yesterday. Even tested it with aerial recovery and stuff in training mode to confirm it. Glad other people have been using it as well.

RE Combo’s:
Keep in mind due to how a lot of Zero’s moves behave, most of his mid-screen combo’s are there to get his opponent to the corner so he can do even more damage. There isn’t much of a difference between TvC Zero and MvC3 Zero.

You need level 3 buster charged to do so.

Problem is, unless you’re charging before you land the first hit, you won’t have time to get the buster to level 3.

I’m somewhat confused about the sequence involving :l: (hold) :m:, :h:, :f:, :h:, :s:, j. :m: , j. :m: , j. :h: , j. :m:, :h: , :l: , :m: , :s: , j. :m: , release :l: , :dp: :l:

It seems like you could do a :qcf: :h: afterwards and call in an OTG assist to pop them back in the air and then knock down until :qcf: :atk :atk: but I haven’t a copy, and I won’t be able to test it until tomorrowhe hitstun might scale too much to make use of it, but who knows. can anyone confirm? I know you need to delay the last air :m: so they’ll be in range to relaunch.

You can charge to level 3, you just have to get use to the inputs.

I knew I should’ve watch that video before posting. I’ve been practicing this combo, and it’s pretty easy to do once you get the inputs down.

Anyways, all this to say I’m glad to hear that he has buster combo that works midscreen for pretty good damage.

Why isn’t there any combo video with his shadow clone super? Does each hit from the clone still counts towards the hitstun and damage scaling system? Isn’t the damage worth it on a BnB?

Yeah, I also found out about that landing after air combo into juggle while testing out ways to get zeros full charge in. I do

L(hold L),M,H,6H,S (Jump), M (double Jump) M, H, (Land) M,H,S (Jump), M, M, (Let go of charge), Hiekyaku , H,S (Jump) M,H,S, (Land), Rekouha

IMO it is definatly worth it… Yesterday I locked a sentinal in the corner with it and always ended with hard knockdown. Instead of going for Rekouha after the KD, I would do Sougenmu, and just before he got off of the ground did a Shippuga. Zero whiffs, but the shadow keeps going and zero is already recovered. while the shadow is hitting, i would cancel to the H teleport, and H or 2 H on the way down. it crosses up just as the shadow is done hitting. Afterwards you actually have enough time to do the 2L,2M,2H, 6H, L,M,H, 6H, S, M,H(2 hits), S combo for a hard knock down and enough meter to do another Sougenmu if you like and start it all over. This time going towards the corner, do everything exactly the same except after the hard knock down do Rekouha instead (since you built another meter). Crapload of damage…

found an unblockable set up using zeros shadow clone super works really well agaisnt bigs only works on smaller characters in the corner so best used against characters coming in or being pressured in the corner i’ll put the video once i get the chance

Is there anything that can be done about chun-li’s bullshit ass lighting kick? I can’t figure out how to beat it when it’s in x-factore.
