Honestly, I’ll be doing it the hard way with my thumbs lol. I’m unsure if you can map the same attack to 2 different buttons. If you can then I’d say try mapping light attack to L2. It should be easier if you are using that to charge rather than multiple face buttons
That SPECIFIC combo no, it needs wolvie, but really the fact that it bounces you out then back in is just for fun, you can use any assist there and it should lead to the same combo, but the damage might be a bit lower. That combo has two neat parts to it, using the z buster to 1 shot to recombo with no 623A, and the fact that when chasing, z buster can flip the opponent despite you being in front. But you can keep him in the corner with an assist and do the combo normally.
Thanks, I was practicing last night and was able to do exactly what you described albeit for a little less damage. Basically you just do 236H after an air magic series use otg assist(I use chun), j.Buster> j.623L>relaunch. It works wonders especially considering you can do rekkoha afterward.
Much easier than my combo that I posted (and requires no charge at start), is 2B, 2C, 5S, j.B, j.B, air 236 C, land, call wolvie assist, 2367 C, S, (same bounce out of the corner shiz), jump B, jump B, release Z, air 623 A, land, S, j.B,j.B,j.C, j.S, land, call doom, 2367 C, S, jump, release Z buster, 263 A, 2367 C, super.

I can get about 680k without an assist at the moment. Its a bit tough to get the damage really up there because you get so much extra from those extra hits when nothing else will work with air 623 A.

This one is very similar, VERY basic, do air combo, spike down with 236C, another 236C plus assist, launch, jump B twice, Z buster, air 623 A, land, launch, B B C S, Land, assist, air 236 C, assist, launch, release buster, air 623 A, air 236 C, super.

Has anybody been playing with Zero/Wesker Samurai Edge assist in training mode? My brother uses Zero/Wesker/Tron and Zero j. C + Samurai Edge as okizeme is fucking nasty. Is that shit a true unblockable if you time it properly?
samurai’s edge hits low I think, so yeah, with an overhead it is an unblockable
Mostly I was just wondering if MvC3 had any kind of obscure mechanical safeguards in place against such easy setups – if there was more nuance to making that shit work than just making the moves hit simultaneously. Just by eyeballing it, though, I would think it’s legit.
you can pushblock them I guess, but if its a reset…I guess you’re pretty fucked
a small thin about that combo, the last 236 C must be 236 B instead, the C version is too slow and it doesnt hit them. good combo btw

This combo would work with my team if I used Sentinel’s low rocket punch but I can’t sacrifice Sentinel Force(bombs) for my pressure game ; ; Dante’s Jam Session does work with this combo it just doesn’t pop them out of the corner.

The most success I’ve had in the game so far is running Zero at point with Wesker/Sent. Wesker’s Samurai Edge is good for resets, OTGs and j.C high-low mixups and Sentinel’s Air Raid can cover approach. Still doing the basic ‘Marn’ combo but ah’ma hit the lab to see what else I can cook up.
Loving the fact that you can sort of create a combo that you feel comfortable with.

Zero can do shit load of stuff in the corner, but I can’t seem to find something that works well midscreen. Anyone have any ideas?
I dunno if this is old news, sorry if it is. I’ve been playing around with some of Zero’s air combo options. Here are a few things I’ve found so far.
Soft launch - following any move that lifts the opponent into the air that isn’t a launcher - (air) L, L, M, H (2 hits), (land, jump again) L, L, M, H (2 hits), (land) M, H, S, …
This can be done anywhere on screen. A good set up into this is to use Dante Jam Session assist. Do L, M, H, Shippuga on the ground, call in Dante at the same time you start the Shippuga. Jam Session combos off Shippuga, then you can wait until it does the soft launch to do the air series. After Shippuga, you can also use M command run to start the air combo on the other side of the opponent. After the second air loop, it gets really hard to keep comboing the opponent due to decreased hit stun.
Launcher Soft Loop - S, (air) M, M, H (3 hits), (delay) M, (land, jump) M, M, H (can be 2 or 3 hits depending on height), (land) M, H, S, …
This can also be done anywhere on screen. You’ll want to time the first M, M, H carefully…after the 3rd hit of H, Zero should be falling together directly in front of the enemy. After the second loop, again hitstun gets pretty severe so its best to do the ground series into something. You can launch and do the regular air combo, or since Zero is on the ground, call an assist and possibly combo into one of his supers. When playing around with this set up, I did the regular air series after the second launcher, OTG’d with an assist and combo’d into his Level 3.
These combos I think of as just basic ideas, hopefully someone better can me can take the idea and run with it. Again, sorry if its old news.

Just got the game yesterday, pretty hyped.
And I have to agree, Zero/Wesker-b is very good. Any basic combo that ends with Shippuga on the ground, you can Wesker on hit or block, then do H Command Dash into j.H and even you get an unblockable reset. If they block the Wesker assist, you can call him once again to another unblockable reset. There;s probably ways out.
I’ve been using Zero on point with Arthur’s dagger assist and VJoe’s uppercut. Arthur’s daggar allows you to do some neat command dash mixups.
