Yeah, I suspect that Hadangeki and Ryuenjin will be his two most useful assists, but I’ve got a sneaking suspicion that Shippuuga will be an amazing combo-extending assist for other character.
Ever since Zero was announced I’ve planned on using Zero/Amaterasu/Doom. There will be a lot of synergy on that team. No matter who’s on point, they’ll benefit greatly from either assist.
Zero will have the option to mercilessly rush your shit down with the help of either assist, or play it safe and zone with Z-Buster and Hadangeki. Even if one of the assists are dead, the other still gives him the same options. Combined with Sougenmu to double up his projectiles, no one will be able to touch him. Ammy will cover him diagonally and Doom will cover full screen, if someone wants to try and get smart with you, pop them in the mouth and send them back to the kitchen with Zero’s ridiculous level 3.
Now that I see you can X-factor block stuff and mash out a super with invincibility, his level 3 just got way more deadly.
I’m really interested in how effective it will be using Ammy’s Mist Hyper then DHCing into Zero’s Sogenmu. Could be an excellent tactic to pressure the opponent with Hadangeki, as well as trying to cross them up. Could be a dangerous weapon…
Updated the first post with some of the CES vids, new smileys for the movelists etc.
I’m a tad too busy these few days but if anyone is willing to do the Combos section or description of the specials/supers PM me the whole thing and I’ll update it and credit you for it in the first post.
also, is there anything else you guys think I should add there?
Sounds like one AAA assist to guard against enemy rushdown (although the best defense may be a good offense in this situation) and a pressure assist like Doom Rocks or Amaterasu Cold Star.
Taskmaster/Chun/Zero sounds interesting. Chuns 100 kiks assist would compliment taskmaster very well seeing as he has excellent reach. The air exchange combos is what makes this team sound like atouch of death team. Taskmaster launches does combo in web swing combo then wall bounes to tag in Chun does combo into triple jump then tags to Zero who Heavy attacks into otg Rekkuha kfcs into 2nd. Thats basic but sounds hella vicious
I thought I saw it done in a vid, but looking through some of the CES videos of Zero I think you may be right, seeing as I just saw someone do the :H: version of Raikousen in an air combo which was probably them trying to do a Ryuenjin air ender.

Also Raikosen is listed as a DP motion in the Portugal impressions.
I am guessing his basic relaunch combo will be along the lines of:
":l:(hold), , :h:, :f::h:, :s:, j. j:m:, (release)j.:l:, j.:dp::l:, :s:, j., j., j.:h:, j.:s: Rekkouha (:qcf::atk::atk:)"
Both Zero and Phoenix are glass cannons, so I think it would be better to remove one and keep one as point, in order to balance out your team so they complement each other. I’d say just wait until the game lands, and see if both Phoenix or Zero are your preferred point character, then change either of them to a character that can better assist, like Ammy’s Cold Star.
