What was your first fighting game and where?

SF2 World Warrior,arcade.
At first i was angry because they replaced final fight with this “new” game.
But then i got addicted…

Of course everyone my age played MK1/2, and SF2 on Genesis or SNES, but my first ‘real’ fighting game that I actually learned to play was Alpha 2 on the Saturn when I was 13 (9 years ago).

3??? Crap, I’m getting old…

Karate Champ in arcades, and International Karate Plus on Commodore 64 (or possibly Amiga, I can’t remember which) were my two first ones.

Street Fighter II and Fatal Fury came much later, and were a huge step up for the genre. I played them to death in a little backstreet arcade in a little country town called Roma, in Queensland Australia.

nostalgia kick

Basically the same as the opening post… SF2:WW cabinet, in a Pizza Hut. Got SNES version shortly thereafter.

Karate Champ at home on NES

Besides that, I remember playing SF2 in a pizza shop when I was a little tyke. We used to complain about Dhalsim being so good because of his arms.

Shortly after, MK1 at Camelot. Doing Sub-Zeros fatality was awesome.

Mortal Kombat 2 at a milk bar. That was the end of everything else.

Yie Air Kung-Fu and then Street Fighter 2 and Fatal Fury 1 at a local pizzeria in Toronto.

International Karate on the Commodore 64 all the way circa 1988 when I was 4 or so. Around the same time there was also a similar game with knights who would swordfight but the name escapes me. My first arcade experience was probably championship edition at a bowling alley somewhere.

Karate Champ, on my uncles computer. The First Arcade Fighter was Street Fighter 2, or Mortal Kombat

MKI, my grandma bought me it when i was 6, i had all mt friends over that day

SF2 in the Arcade.

Pit Fighter in teh arcade, then SF2: Champion edition…

Double Dragon for NES with the 2 player Vs. mode against my sister. That shit was mad fun! We also had River City Ransom, but that was a beat-em up.

In the arcade, it was Street Fighter. I played that in Mr. Lee’s Laundromat. Him and my pops were cool so he would give my sister and I a couple of free quarters sometimes to play. I got owned by the bald dude on the first level every time. I didn’t know what hell I was doing, I was just happy to be playing lol.

The memories…

sf2 at a dry cleaner :7)

Arcade: Ninja Gaiden …then Double Dragon & Double Dragon Revenge

SNES: Streetfighter 2

Street fighter 2 for genesis took my virginity, I was at my friend house

SF2 at river falls mall, BABY!!! Ryu (still my dude)

Street Fighter 2. At a movie theatre when me and my fam visited Hawaii in 1993. I remember it all so well. I got my ass handed to me…

Street Fighter II Turbo back in 1994, the only reason I owned a SNES.

Street Fighter 2:Turbo i remember always getting 2 bison but never beating him, only move i knew was hydouken, i was around da age of 6 or 7
