hes not safe on a block dive kick, you can throw him in alot of cases. and hes hella free if he whiffs it, learn to read to the dive kick and back dash to force a whiff and punish. Dont try to go under it because your proly crossing yourself up

the higher the dive kick is, the less safe it is on block.

jump into dive kick and block it, then punish how you like…
drill claw is free on wiff but safe on hit so try to bait and punish drill claws…

I have not seen a single online player punish divekick with any consistency, I think it leaves you at +25 online. Just to make sure it’s punishable by throw on block right if it isn’t spaced just right, right?

ok i got a good question.

Does anyone have a list of all (or any) assists which you can use to combo off berserker slash WITHOUT the use of the berserker charge cancel? something like sentinel drones might work but i was thinking like one you can just call, then do berserker slash and combo without having to time it weird (like yo uprobably would with a slow assist like drones)
pretty sure dormammu black hole works but i dont know any others. trying to make a phoenix team with wolverine on point so you cant always be cancelling into charge

go to the team option thread i made a simi list of assist u could use like that. u could basically use most assist that arent to fast depending on what range you want the setup to work. if u want it to work from any range u need a full sreen assist like a beam. the thing is u dont want it to be too fast like magnetos beam because u have to press the assist right before the slash. U have to expirement with diffrent assist but remember tho that some assist scale the rest of ur combo more than others so youll have a hard time finishing ur regular combos or just getting damage out of them. imo i think doom’s, IM’s, and shuma’s beam assist work best.

I believe he does A B C in the air instead of B, B, C…but its pretty much the same thing.

So I saw a random thing while playing online. My opponent had Wolverine left and activated lvl3 XF and did a ground throw. Nothing fancy there since he has no assist to fully OTG launch right? WRONG! He did something after the throw and I’m almost 100% sure it wasn’t d/f+B and he did a launch combo! It looked like either a standing C or Beserker Slash. I’ve tried for about an hour in training mode and I can’t replicate what he did!

i’ve just started taking this game serious so that i can join some tournaments, but my team building skills aren’t that great. so i’m looking for a little critiquing. i use wolverine, spencer, tron i sometimes start off with spencer, but i mostly use wolverine in the beginning. i like tron’s gustaf fire assist, but altogether the assists in this team don’t seem that great. is my team doomed to fail?

After I do drill claw, :df::h: in the air combo, sometimes they end up on the wrong side of wolverine - I cant figure out if its a timing or a height thing, does anybody know?

It has to do with the characters hitbox and where you hit them. You just need to get used to looking at what side you’re on during the ground bounce.

2 questions:

  1. I noticed PR Rog (whos team ive been using and loving) often going straight into Berzerker Charge wihout even a Slash 1st. he just does it whenever. Do any of you guys tend to do this? And when in Charge, any specific setups that work more effectively as a result. I’m sure an easy answer is “all of them,” but I imagine there’s a specific idea in mind that makes it worth the meter to raw Charge.

  2. Does Wolverine have a good sequence for when he’s arial exchange tagged in? Or is it pretty much just BBCS, land, start the usual Wolvie shenanigans?

how do you pick up a character after a berserker slash???

I know you can still get them such as the mix up with a long lasting assist and berserker slash

but what do you do after a raw beserker slash? I know you go into the speed super but thats it

Cancel to speed up immediately upon connecting (too slow and you’ll miss), then immediately dash up and hit MS (too slow and you’ll miss)
