Hey, I need some help with Berserker Slash cross up into Berserker Charge cancel, I read a lot of stuff but still doing it wrong, can someone explains to me how to follow it up exactly? I dont know what I’m doing wrong, I have to cancel the Slash REALLY fast, right? but then what? just standing H? dash standing H? help plz :l
you do have to cancel it pretty fast, if you can anticipate that its gonna connect then you can get a jump on the B.Charge.
But you should go to the Wolvie combo thread and double check the notation and hit the danger room.

Look, I’m trying L.Slash XX B.Charge and then I mash the Right Trigger (L+M+H) so its gonna do Dash and then H attack, but the dummy is falling off, whats wrong? mashing like that doesn’t work? the cancel is too late?

You’re either canceling to late, or not dashing soon enough. Try doing it without mashing. Just find the timing where you dash as soon as you regain control of your character(right around when the camera starts to zoom back out). Can also try dashing into a L attack. It starts up quicker than H, so it’s easier to connect.
IDK why it is that Ive never had to dash after a B.Charge to connect normals. but I havent.
come to think of it I dont do B.Charges after Slashes. Ive seen it work for ppl, but IDK if the dash is always nessecary.
but if you cancel fast enuf you should have time to do whatever you want.
You should be able to cancel the B.Charge fast enuf that your opp is still going up once you regain control of Wolvie
Ive never really had a problem myself with this cancel it seems pretty straight brain dead foward, since you B.charge super is just 22 ATK+ATK. If you do it too early you can actually cancel the attack animation and stop the slash from coming out too.
For follow ups. you can just simply dash in with St.C, launcher, then do a BnB. some of the B loops are a lil trickier but i prefer not to blow the entire time on it since it doesnt give meter, id rather retain the speed up to go for another mix up.
Interesting enough since the slash doesnt give meter i like to use my assists to help build a tad bit to allow me to finish with the air super. For example, using sent. you can cross B slash xx b.charge, call assist sent, foward dash, St.C, B.slash ( with medium/B) into the drones for meter. Air C, Drill claw, dive kick. etc
So far I only have one way to put the opponent in a mix up when they drop in, something I stole from the Power-Up stream, Justin specifically: (they block)meaty UF Drill Claw, dive kick, call Akuma tatsu, low/high/cross-up/throw. What other setups have you guys found to mixup an opponent falling in to play?
I recommend if you can’t hit the dash C, to try dash B C to make the window for timing it a bit larger
I’m running into alot of lame zoning teams as soon as I hit 4th lord. rushdown had never been a problem until recently. any tips on assist spammers like someone shooting sentinel lasers and spamming doom hidden missels? I run Wolvie, Task horizronal arrows, sent drones.
You have a good team for getting close I think, try calling either assist and either super jumping forward, super jumping and dive kicking, H Berserker Slash which is projectile invincible, just plink dashing on the ground or activate Berserker Charge and start mashing some shit. And most importantly change up how you get in so they don’t know where you’re coming from.
What are the best mixups that wolverine has?
In my opinion thats a pretty end all be all mix up wolvie has on incoming characters. if they dont have a double jump, air dash. air super or whatever like that ( in this case think haggar ). they are pretty free to cross up B slash xx B Charge, Or smack them into a drones assist.
B Slash is something that i think everyone needs to get used to abusing until your fingers fall off, He also has good overhead setups with big characters like sentinel ( Jumping S xx drill claw, dive kick ) and with the right assist, he has a Jumping L, assists connects, dive kicks.
So in ending i think wolverine is only as strong as his assists and really think about team building around what wolverine can handle and what the team can offer to wolverine
I can only seem to land the dive kick after my air BNB(ends with drill claw) 60-70% of the time. Any tips on the timing? Could someone make a video, perhaps?
The timing should be straightfoward. its the height of the opponent and the hit stun deterioration that you need to watch for. If they are too high you will whiff the dive kick or if they recover because of the deterioration.
If your issue is the actual timing of the dive kick then honestly its just that your thinking too hard trying to “time” it. It doesnt hurt to just mash that shit out as soon as you connect with drill claw.
An issue that you might have is that your not connecting the standing H before the launcher, the St.H pops them into the air a bit to help get the full J>MMLH.

This pretty much solved it for me. Just found out that I was cancelling the H by pressing S too fast.
Anyone have some good setups for when you kill a character and a new one is coming in? I heard the commentary on one of the Powerup vids, they were talking like Wolvie has a setup that’s virtually inescapable (not literally, just the way they were regarding it). Any idea what those guys were doing??? My video card blows and I cant see for myself

You get a lot more mixup options once your opponent is on the ground. Characters with an air dash get to take this mixup away from most characters as they’re coming in. Wolvie can force them down, though. Set up a drill claw xx dive kick to hit them just as they come in and this forces them to the ground. Other than that, it’s just the same mixups. Crossup, low, overhead. Just call assist as you’re falling. Very useful.

Yea, basically. It’ll either get blocked or hit them cuz they hit a button. Be aware of invincible air supers like Hard Drive, tho.
