Exactly why i dont play ranked atm, in my experience the majority of people i play via ranked are using assist gems. This afternoon i played an A-rank kazuya/ryu with assist-gems.
I dont mind losing at all but this is getting silly

After playing SFxT for 2-3 weeks and reaching C+, I haven’t actually received THAT much hate mail. But there were a couple I remember; one guy was acting like a smartass tool, the other was just a bad loser.

[]A british dude called MCLEOD_is_BEST. The first time I fought him a DC occured, with no apparent win or lead. But the guy acts like I DC’d and spams messages saying (LOL HUGO GONNA KO YOU OUT, RUNAWAY). I replied saying “why would I when neither of us were even winning.” But he replies “LOL I DIDNT MESSAGE SAID U DC’D”, but I just ignore it. Few days later I run into him again, and he messages saying “LOL HEY TJ”,as if to psyche me out. I lost, mainly because I couldn’t counter his Dhalsim jumping about, teleporting and spamming Fierce zoom punches with my team setup. And so he brags again after the match, to the point I just blocked him. I’ve mainly just avoided him because I was sick of his cheap tactic, but probably also due to me still finding a way to beat his tactics with my current team (Yoshimitsu/Rolento)

btw funny thing - top PC ladder is full of french guys, and 80% of them are using assist gems.
i met only one guy who didnt, and he is a sf4 player with 30k bp cody.
Might also be out of ignorance, due to a lot of people saying that this game is “easy-mode…” which, barring assist gems of course, I don’t think it is. Maybe some of the combos may seem that way, but even then the easy-mode combos don’t usually do optimal damage, or you spend meter when you didn’t need to.
Also, seems the flow of hate from SF X TK online on PC has decreased significantly. Haven’t gotten a single piece of hate-mail, even after I started playing Hugo. What’s your secret?

EDIT: I think I know why I receive hate mail… I send gg as a subject with no body as a message all of the time.(Even if I perfect)
lol yeah that’s kinda asking for it.
I only send GG when it’s a real good game (usually close ass matches) I never say GG if I destroy someone because I know it can often be seen as an insult.
I remember one time I was playing MK9 and some guy destroyed me flawless and after the match he sent me: “GG man that was close!” l didn’t reply but I admit it made me extra salty lol.
I’mma be honest with you dawg, taunting makes me super salty.
Haha, I always wonder how people feel when I taunt.
I taunt all the time with Yoshimitsu because his taunt is so bad ass. I like to taunt at the beginning of rounds and when my opponent does something impressive. So in my case I use Yoshi’s taunt to give props to my opponent.
But Juri has a real bitchy taunt lol. She just laughs hysterically so I tend to use it less. I just don’t want people to think I’m laughing at them. Silly I know. I definitely preferred Juri’s old taunts. 
I feel the same way. My favorite from Super was her #10 I think? The one where she wags her finger at you and says. “If you don’t take this seriously, I’ll have to kill you”. The infamous sexy taunt is a given. For Yoshi I would just do flea stance and forward dash as fast as I could. shit looks hilarious.
Taunting only makes me salty when I’m playing ranked, I really don’t mind it too much when I’m just doing endless battle with a guy. I don’t know why, but the fact that I’m playing multiple matches with a dude it gives us more room to dick around. But when I’m only playing one ranked match with a dude I try to take it seriously.(as serious as you can take a fighting game, anyway.)
