What do players message you after you beat them - SFxT EDITION!

Watch out for a guy named BlueBot7. He got salty after Lili’s BNB destroyed him. He told me to learn combos. (EU gamers beware!)

After beating someone 5 times in a row in ranked

So, the other day I received hate mail, but I actually deserved it… I’ll explain:

I’m ashamed to say I’ve been using those dammed assist gems… the auto-block ones (please don’t ban me!) :stuck_out_tongue:
I’m very ashamed that I used them, it’s just, my life is shit right now. I arrive late at home because of my crappy job, and I become lazy to go to the lab and practice my execution… But I love FG’s and this game, and I was tired of losing all the time in Endless and Ranked. So I tried the assists one day on my Hugo/Law team… And I was winning much more often then ever! I quickly got to 1500 BP and kept saying to myself: “Just one more go with the gems, I’ll stop using them after next match”… But I never could stop… It’s just like a freaking addiction… :frowning:

So the other day I went on Endless, found a lobby from a guy with 5000 BP and fought him. I eventually won 1 round, but I was completely destroyed the next two. After the match, the guy kicked me, and sent me my first SfxT hate mail. He wrote: “Poor Player, No Assists!”.

That message opened my eyes! I thought “What am I doing!”… I replied to him: “You’re right, I gotta drop those gems…”

The next day I found his lobby again, and entered again, hoping he didn’t kick me. He accepted the challenge, and I was just using meter and damage gems, just normal ones.

I had so much fun, played a lot of matches with him. I eventually messaged him: “See, no assists!”, which he replied: “Lol, good”.
I’ve only beat him once, but I noticed that my game was getting much better! I never needed those crappy gems! From playing against a good player I learned how to manually block all kinds of mix-ups and overheads, and he was experimenting with different characters, so I was learning how to block all the different highs and lows… It was a fun hour…

So, I’m never using assists again, the game is infinitely more enjoyable without them.

Stay off those Assists, kids. That’s my advice…

Thank you! Just taking one day at a time, I feel like a new man!..
If I can help just one person who has this addiction, that would make me happy…

Assist Gem addiction should be medically recognized as a legit condition. That way we can lock people who use them in mental wards, away from their consoles or PC’s until they stop using assist gems. This way nobody has to deal with the cheapness. They get over their addiction, everyone else has an easier time enjoying the game! Everybody wins!

And you should! I feel like assist gems are an easy way out. But learning to block will help you in all fighting games.

Lol@assist gem addiction

I admit it I’m not the best player however I’m quite tolerate and humble. I have sent one message, it was regarding the auto block assist gem. He shelled out for the DLC that has the best version of auto block. I bet I activated that sooo many times, it was stupid. I just wrote, “Get out of here with the auto-block gems seriously…” I think assist gems are annoying, yeah it does make things more noob friendly but when someone whose very experienced with fighting games it’s a free perk to have, well maybe if you shelled out for the best assist gems. Why learn how to block when you the game can do it for you? Was very frustrated at that match.

Assist Gem addiction!? It’s meme worthy! If anyone here has Assist Gem addition, we shall provide the medicine = coolness, meter gems, worthy players, and skill!

I think we need to make some “DARE to keep kids off the Assists” bumper stickers.

Idk about the rest of you, but I would totally buy one. It should also have Dan giving a thumbs up next to the slogan

Lots of cry babies calling people parasites. I got called one myself. Why the sudden rise in popularity of parasite as a term used by rage mailers?

Better than the usual ‘fag,’ ‘nigger,’ or ‘chink,’ i guess.

Agh, I’m having problems finding matches on the PC version nowadays. Either people are just waiting for the patch to drop on PC or people are just avoiding me because I keep winning with Ken…

Or it might be because I keep trying to find games at 6:00 in the morning.

Personally I’m waiting for them to fix the online. As with AE it runs much smoother on PC than on consoles (for me).

I think the online is worse than it was on the consoles at first. Even with the slightest lag between me and my opponent I get lots of unnecessary rollbacks. On consoles that only happened with really bad connections.

Not necessarily what someone messaged me but… wow. What the hell. Apparently I got my first down-rank for “Trash Talk.”

But… I… don’t… talk or even message (aside from “GG” and a compliment) people I don’t know! Literally! That’s not a even an exaggeration! Hell,I don’t even taunt (on purpose anyway)! What the hell. I really hate that “Rep” system sometimes; the wrong people use it.

I did also get down-voted for leaving a match early, which yeah I guess that’s fair, although I left on the character select screen because someone invited me to another Endless. >_>

I don’t think leaving on the character select amounts to anything sense there was not a match going on just yet. I guess he took it the wrong way. This kind of reminds of when I lose because my controller batteries ran out and I got a hate message with “fag” on it… Some people just don’t know how to act when they go online. This why I like player matches, going to arcade, or just going to tournaments… especially tournaments because there is usually is a degree of … professionalism - Good players can have fun with this game on a higher level… but that’s never going to happen so easily online. I despise going on ranked for the simple reason being, because people are SO worried about their statistics, instead of simply playing to win with their best characters… not only that. It is also easy to misunderstand another when they do something during the match - and I HATE being misunderstood…

regarding Juri, instead of the taunt button I press d,b and punch. this is more preferable.

I use her taunt often, usually when winning by timeout with 1 second left… and still no hate mail :frowning:

Speaking of which, running away at the last ten seconds when you have the life lead then taunting right before it ends makes me SOOOOO salty.
