You shouldn’t, this is the sign of true victory! :razzy:
I would say it was probably me you perfected since I’m prone to doing that on a bad day lol. But I’m not on PSN so… >.>

Woohoo! I got my second ever piece of hate-mail today on the PC version! Sadly though, it’s not really anything special…just a generic “(bleep)-ing NOOB!” I don’t usually bother responding to these people; I just beat 'em again when I see 'em. I figure that’s better than trying to rub salt in a wound (no pun intended).
As for why I got that message…I was playing a Ken/Heihachi team, he was running Ryu/Akuma. He didn’t really seem to have much of a strategy; just random jump-ins and whenever he managed to get a knockdown he’d do a random demon-flip to fly over my head, dive-kick and then spin kick. Every. Time. I’d respect him if he’d mix-up his options there a little, but he didn’t. Anyways, basically all I did was cr.mk into hadoken with ken, and cr.hp any bad jump-ins. And when I got that knockdown I’d cross-up with jump mk into a cross-rush to bring in Heihachi and do a long combo (thanks in part to the large amount of meter that I got doing the two things I mentioned before). Then I’d leave Heihachi in to do mix-ups and tick throws all day until Akuma was KO’d. When he gets low on health he’d keep trying to jump back into the corner to try and raw tag safely, but I just kept forward dashing with Heihachi to stay on his tail (thankfully he didn’t start throwing air fireballs while he was running away). Good thing Heihachi has a decent dash.
I just got done smashing a player with 3312 BP! And, he sure was a joke. His name was Swagopuss_169 (What was he smoking when he came up with that name?) And, so I use Asuka and Julia… He used Ryu and Hugo. I did not take the match too seriously so I decided to test a few things out (thanks to Ocelotlikespie) of course. I was using Asuka throughout the match and I was still able to win - I kept using her charge then cancelling it for counter hits (I notice that she can link her over head with cr.MP…) I also kept crossing-him up with j.HP and using Asuka’s strings. The meter gems did me A LOT of justice! I kept on using Asuka’s Super after her combo’s every chance I got and using Atttack Reversal so many times on his wake-up was satisfying… and his Hugo was nothing to write home about. Swagopuss_169 was… PREDICTABO!
Okay… sigh He ragequits and then sends me an invite to Endless.
He also sends me a message saying: "scrub"
I say nothing. So for the past three matches, I destroy him with Asuka and Julia. Perfected him once, even! I couldn’t even PAY ATTENTION to swagopuss by the time the second match came forth, so throughout the second and third matches, I counteract everything he did with simplistic BnB’s! I left and he sends me hate mail. “you scared of me you piece of shit?” I message him back saying “Yes. You’re lethal! You’re so predictable that it bores me to death!” Then he messages me back saying “stfu learn how to play fuck head. stop using those cheap ass moves”. Then I message him back saying “Says the person using assist gems! Learn how to win and stop falling for my moves.” I did not get a message back at all. Though he did send me another invite for some reason.
First of all… What is it with these… high BP people using assist gems? My patience is now seriously beginning to wear thin!
I don’t give a damn anymore. I start the match, see high BP yet using assist gems? Well, enjoy your 1 win or loss, you get kicked out of my lobby. 'Nuff said.
lol ^ smashed on an endless room of 5-6500BP players earlier, they were talking shit on the mic the whole time about being lamed out by my dhalsim or that my ogre was doing ‘easy combos’ #fuckouttahere
You know - there something about your avatar and signature that I like when I think about this game… exhibiting pent up rage at people with high BP using assist gems just might be my new hobby…
I love seeing people rage about Hugo. I play Raven and that match up is insanely easy.
"Way to spam"
By a player who clearly was a beginner and hopped into ranked the first time. I answered “You probably shouldn´t play ranked before getting to know your characters and the general playstyle of the game”. Answer from him: “It´s hookers like you who ruin this game”. What? Interesting thoughts… I stopped wasting my time writing a response to him and slowly start to accept my life as a SFxT parasite
(I did “spam” Xiaoyu´s cr.hk for the breakdance loop twice in the match. He sent this message to me after I switched from my main team Julia/Jin to Xiaoyu on point and a random second char to practice the breakdance loop online. In the case of beginners on ranked, I always wait for them to press ready first in the lobby because I´m perfectly fine with them leaving for further training if they notice they lack basics. This guy did press ready right away twice so I decided to stomp him anyways ;))
Annoying… I, the Great Dark Hero, have grown weary of online SFxT experience! Why must I fight so many bad players? I realize that most of the players I usually end up fighting against are either beginners, scrubs (story-obsessed ones, or scrubs that don’t realize they are scrubs!), or generally idiotic players! It’s not that I am trying to be mean or judgmental, but the things these people do is stupid! How exactly is it my fault that THEY keep falling for the same traps and moves? I beat this guy with Asuka and Poison.
d-a-r-k-s-l-a-y-e-r was his name and he had over 2000 BP. He was using… Ryu and Kazuya (both colored black for some reason). His Kazuya had some sort of assist-gem which turned out to be Pandora-Extend. Throughout the entire matches, he only managed to hit me twice and he threw me once. I kept using Poison’s rekka series combo every chance I got after jumping over Ryu’s Hadouken. I continue to zone him like crazy with Poison’s projectile. Ryu and Kazuya fell for 4 Attack Reversals from Asuka (Geese Howard would be SO pleased to see this). He kept trying use EWGF but there is a thing the people do when they are under pressure… its called. BLOCKING. He randomly uses Pandora during the first round - So, I taunt him. His Ryu does a raw Super Art, that which I vertical jumped and then taunted him again. During the second round he activates Pandora AGAIN, in spite of Kazuya having full health and me have a damn near full life lead with both of my characters! So I played far more aggressively with Asuka than I normally would have and it worked out surprisingly well - that and meter gems of course.
"fight like a man!"
I say: “I did.”
"you kept running scared faggot! you suck at this game!"
I say: "Which one of us won this match again?"
Then he spams me with a bunch of invites.
I didn’t bother. I told him to quit inviting me and go to the training room. I blocked him shortly after. I rather fight against a good player and even lose to them than fight against players like these and not learn anything. The Great Dark Hero’s skill has been wasted once more… to be continued.
See, this is where you messed up: after the first message, you should have replied with “TOO EASY!” Then for every message after that, just reply with “Repuken!” or “Double Repuken!”
And eventually just send him “You cannot escape… wrong death”
In all seriousness, I never EVER understand the “you kept running” messages. People have this fascinating idea that you’re supposed to stand in each others’ face and just press buttons like it’s some Wario Ware mini-game. :shake:
I got called a coward earlier by some dude with 5000 BP I believe. “Lol! Yeah keep running coward!” Funny considering his only victory against me was a time over victory. It seems like it’s the players with the most BP that get butt hurt because they think they’re godlike and can’t be beaten.
They want others to let them win. But, that’s just not how fighting games work. It’s moving chess game for crying out loud!
This is true. Every piece of hate-mail I have gotten from any video game was from someone who was either a higher rank than me or had more experience. I once got a bunch of hate-mail in SSFIV:AE for easily beating a Sakura player who was ranked 7th whilst I was playing as Dan. It was the best. He was so bad and kept falling for obvious tricks and expected to get away with his obvious tricks, so he got pretty mad. My only regret was not taunting.
On-topic though, I had someone swearing at me when I played on Windows Live. The lag was so bad that I ended up just deciding “fuck it” and with 20 seconds left went for a time-over win. As the time ran out he tried a super, and I taunted because I knew it wouldn’t reach me in time. I am now apparently a homosexual black person who has relations with my own mother.
thats pretty creative actually
Nah, I’ve had the same thing said to me. It’s a common thing on XBL/PSN.
Wait, you have the PC version? What’s your gamertag on that? I might have faced you before…and no I wasn’t the one who sent you that message. My gamertag is the same as my username here on SRK.
On topic, I haven’t gotten ANY messages recently after playing online. Even after I would spend a couple matches playing Hwoarang and doing nothing but that overhead tekken string that causes a ground bounce into a Heihachi dragon uppercut loop. Something tells me that I need to learn Hugo to truly experience the online rage…
i have 21 win streak with 28 wins in last 30 matches and i got whole one hatemail with just “nerd” in it.
i think people understand that everyone is warping around and dont cry as much yet.
My tag is StegSux. I haven’t played very many games online because of the lag issues though.
