What do players message you after you beat them - SFxT EDITION!

i cant.
still waiting on PC release. salt, its delicious.

Well, I did six matches online, and not one hatemail, even though I did the Breakdance loop with Xiaoyu in two matches. Either way, I’ll just upload those matches on Youtube for people to see me do that.
Getting hatemail’s haaaaard… ><

“Good effort mate” after i lost about 14 times in a row

the only thing worse than hate mail is hate mail from people who beat you. i never get any from someone who beats me two or three to zero (or more), because what would really be the point in that? no, i get them from the person i’m beating by three or four games, i keep rematching them, thinking nothing is wrong and that these are ggs or whatever…and then the minute i lose a match to them, it’s like - bam - they’ve left the endless, no runback. then i realise that in their mind that one runback-less victory they got over me was like they beat me ten to zero. then comes the “superior player” hate mail.

i don’t understand why people don’t think more logically sometimes. the only way to get better is to play players better than you, period. you can learn whatever combo you want on a dummy in training mode, but you’re going to forget what day it is the minute you play a high level player, let alone your combo. i love playing players who are without doubt better than me. in fact i’ll play them all night until they leave my endless if i have to, lol.

the only time i get pissed is if i’m losing to someone who i know for sure isn’t better than me. for example, i lost to someone earlier who was playing ryu/ken. they were ok, but boy they were doing some dumb shit that nobody with half a brain would do. it’s kinda like mike ross said “you can’t play footsies with someone who doesn’t know what footsies are”. needless to say, i didn’t get a runback again.

if i lose to someone really,** really** shitty, i’m pissed for about 20 seconds and then i just laugh it off.

@jiavin - if you want hate mail, play guile. it’s so easy. in the hate mail tier list, guile is like S+.

lol. had the same thing happened to me. xiani (JPN) literally scraped the floor with my shit about 8 times in a row. I probably won 2 rounds at most. He told me “keep practicing and thanks for the games :)” I felt like shit afterwards seeing as how he went random almost every match on both toons. I learned a lot though… specifically, Bison is pretty bad in many cases!

qft… and I think Hugo pisses people off just as much actually… I use them both

Maybe he meant “save my brother!” because his family was being attacked or something.

Will u accept this quest?

remove safe, add thanks.

Really? Wow, that’s great.

I can empathise, even down to the loss but it was in Ranked. The player sent me a message simply consisting of “learn sum combos”. I did get a rematch, thankfully and it ended badly for them.

-snip-

what exactly is a flowchart guile? I’m curious

No fucking clue… I’m guessing for him it means that I anti aired him a lot and threw sonic booms, instead of running face first into his attacks.

probably. I think Guile illicits a lot of salt because a good Guile makes the opposing player actually have to… well… play… only scrubalicious players whine about Guile doing his thing - controlling space and making your opponent use their head…

…unless they’re playing Rufus:p

This is actually a positive one - I fought against this player known as Ice_queen_fighter. She apparently has a very fitting name for herself: She is surprisingly good. I challenge her on ranked. She was a C rank.

  • first she started off with Guile and Raven. I was playing as Asuka and Bison. The first match was dangerously close. She had speed and power gems everywhere one could think of. All I had was a handful of power gems and one proficiency gem on Julia. Her Raven was incredible! She punished me 70% of the time with Raven’s air-projectile jumping backward. I had a really hard time with her Guile as well as she kept utilizing his normals. I manage to catch her Guile off guard with Bison’s Devil Reverse (In case you have not realized, I love that move). It was hard to use Asuka counters as Ice_queen_fighter kept mixing everything up and using projectiles up close as I was still in Asuka’s counter attack animation. It was one Cross Tag after another sense we were saving meter throughout the first round. She almost caught me with Guile’s Cross Art however, but my jumping animation had already started. I barely win against her with chip damage from Bison’s EX Knee Press.

She gives me a friend invite and says: “you r actually amazing at this” Then she invite me to a few more games on endless. She crushes me twice and I win against her once.
The first time, she decides to use Lili and Ken. I end up picking my mains Ibuki and Jin. She whoops my ass badly with her Lili (Ibuki AND Jin respectively). The second round, she won by time out - and she still managed to smack me around using just Lili alone. During the second fight, she chose Kazuya and Chun Li. I chose Poison and Hwoarang. She wins both of the rounds by time out, in spite of it being close. Alpha counters really did help me though. The third match was her choosing Lili and Chun Li. I was playing as Julia and Jin. I notice she plays as Chun Li, almost the same way as I do on SSFIV. I kept my distance and kept using Jin’s standing mk and his Special step > to Thrusting Uppercut (it pushing the opponent back a lot during their block stun). I try to play it as safe as much as possible, knowing that she plays aggressively, arguably more so than I do. I actually defeat her Lili with Julia’s AA. The second match was won by another time out, in my favor this time…

She messages me saying: "you seem to rely on tricks, pokes, and your meter a lot. And, your strings with jin r awesome"
I message her saying: "Your style of game play is nice! "

It’s nice to have a round against players who are actually good at the game though…

flowchart guile is someone that basically throws sonic booms, but more importantly, a crap ton of cr.hk’s. they move around the screen with cr.hk like it’s bazooka knee. they do stuff like cr.hk, flash kick like it’s a mixup. they also wakeup flash kick like it’s going out of fashion.

did you block my cr.hk?
no - do it again
yes - flash kick!

trap.

If Dark_Hero is anything like the most interesting man in the world, he’s probably got this covered:

Playing remy in 3s, and my brief stint playing SSF4 guile has taught me to never ever randomly throw out cr. HK. Shit is a free punish.

Why would anybody do that?

Crouching Roundhouse. It’s got what scrubs crave.

Played some knob named am_zangief today. He played Paul/Zangief against my Jin/Kazuya. After I beat him, he msg’s me “The originally of your team was too much for me. go top tier!”
