From my limited online experience I got mostly compliments. “too good for me” / “wow!” / “u good” etc. I think because people haven’t invested any time in the game yet, they’re happy to accept defeat. Also, I found a lot of my opponents were 2 guys partnered up either online or offline, so they’re not raging as much as having fun. Plus I think most people are taking a “casual” view of this game.
Compare that to AE which I just played right now, after not playing in a while, I went in 2 endless lobbies, got kicked from the first (after losing) and told to “learn 2 play” and got kicked from the second (again after losing) and then told to “mash more scrub.” They were both 8 person lobbies which were empty, and I wasn’t mashing, I was just reversaling a lot because I noticed I almost always had meter to FADC. My timing was way off because of the lag and the fact I haven’t played AE in a month, plus I’m using the same character in SFxT so now I’m trying to do SFxT combos in AE and vice versa. So I was playing pretty badly, but really, sending hatemail when you win? WTF :/. Are people so sick of AE now that they even rage when they win?
By the by I think a lot of you guys fishing for hatemail sound slightly deranged, and maybe even more seriously screwed up than the immature people hatemailing you :).
Dude plays Ken and Akuma and throws random Tatsus and Tons of SRKs so I block and punish with chains cause I didn’t want to take any chances and he send me pretty angry hatemail lol.
I told him that I would destroy him in AE cause he is so ass at this game … (I am no wonder boy at this game AT ALL but I know if he plays like that in AE then it would be over pretty quick. lol) then this…
Hey everybody, I’m just here to report my daily salt count.
I faced a player called Encaptured, he used a team of Asuka and Julia, I used Ryu and Zangief. I won the match convincingly and afterwards he started to go crazy on the mic! Telling me I was camping (I call it winning). When clearly I wasn’t. (Video evidence is available, LOLZ). I think he believed he was in for an easy time as I only have 806bp compared to his 5412. Definitely avoid this player.
I play pad and I’ve never had to change the buttons I just had to retrain my fingers to play pad Juri. Hold A button with thumb while using index finger to hit other face buttons ftw Theres realls nothing wrong with the default set, I don’t see why anybody would change it .
lol i beat this guy something like 7-0 in ae and he magically had more pp than poonkgo at the time. i call booster. just for the record, i’m good at sf4, but i’m not that good lol.
LOL this guy just sounds too good to be true. I want to purposely run into him, body him with my Rufus and argue about the canon with him. “Uh, Rufus is the best fighter in America you idiot. You’re lucky Shin Rufus isn’t in this game.”
I hit him with Juri’s c.MK xx Pinwheel like 3 times in a row and then he just stands there doing nothing so I just end the match he then sends me a message saying: “same fucking move u paki cunt” so I just said “stay salty” he then sent me another message calling me a cunt but whatever lol.
All right, that does it. I’m going online tomorrow, hoping to get my first ragemail in SFxT! So far, I’ve gotten two messages complimenting my Xiaoyu, even though in my opinion, she’s a bit sucky in my hands. Wish me luck!
Not fishing for it …just playing the game like everyone else and people get so mad as to send hatemail and curse people out over the headset, sure as hell funny and enjoyable to get cause you know you are doing something right lol. One guy after the one I posted… was on his headset calling me a fag and telling me to stop running because I was trying to stay away from his Heihachi and Rolento. I would have Raven out and throw a star and go for a teleport mixup and he was like “I wouldn’t have gotten hit with that if you weren’t running fag” o_O
another dude sends me “You play like a Pussy” cause he wouldn’t stop jumping so I just b+mp’d with ibuki like a 1000 times … people get mad for no reason and it is funny … that is what this thread is for … laughs, so LAUGH.
(by the by the whole paragraph before this line was explaining to us why you were not mashing… o_O what does that have to do with anything.)

Although if someone’s talking smack over the mic, I wait till the last round and tell them, “You sound fat.” No emotion, no hype, no nothing. Just, “You sound fat.” All mics go dead silent.
People don’t get that mad at it because it’s a legit punish I’ve never gotten hate for it. Although if someone is hella free, do nothing but hit them with c.mk. Don’t combo into or out of it. If 'they’re pressing buttons or not blocking it will destroy them. It’s hilarious.

I got this one after not accepting a rematch in Ranked and it did make me feel cowardly:
