I heard you could DT out of his kamikaze attack but I’m not completely sure because I haven’t encountered one yet in game but this is purely speculation at the moment I’m going to try when I face one.

You can do it. I even DT’d out of the frog boss mouth chomp move. It’s sort of like a burst.

I have a lot of trouble with Blitz when using Nero, but he’s easy with Dante. With the Pandora’s Box Forward+Style in Gunslinger, you’ll be able to instantly take out his shield. If you time it right.

Man i’m finding stuff out that i can do to bosses that i didn’t know i could do.
I managed to buster Bael when he falls flat on his stomach and that provides another Devil Bringer type move where you shoryuken him in the air and grab his tail and throw him down.
When the old man retreats inside the statue and the statue swings his fist you can buster it and the old guy pops out dazed so you can damage him even more.
I find it really annoying that in every interview Kobayashi did in the lead up to the games release; when asked about the relationship between Nero and Dante his answer would always be “you have to play the game to find out” or something to that effect.
Yet here I am…past mission 20…still no clue as to who Nero is.
Still an excellent game though.

Me neither. I’m thinking that the arm is Neo Angelo’s from DMC1, and that’s how come he can use Devil Trigger using Yamato’s like that since it’s a part of Vergil’s soul. But then, why the hell does he have white hair like Dante does and Vergil did? It suggests that they are related more than just the Devil Bringer…

I’m hoping they plan on making an SE edition or even the next installment soon. The storyline felt very odd, like they cut something out or didn’t finish something, which would explain how Nero isn’t fully revealed who he is. After all, more DMC is a good thing. :tup:
So what time did you end up getting for it? I hear the pandora box laser works very well and I’m just now hearing about these scattered lasers/cannon you can pick up to use…
Don’t use Pandora’s box cause its basically useless in this mission. You want to stick with Ebony and Ivory. You can use the lasers to stun his arms so you can jump on it and slash the blue jewels and the jewel on his head or you can jump on his hand when he slams it on the platform you on.
When you get to the cannon, the cannon will knock the statue on it ass and you can destroy the remaining jewels on its legs and back. After that the boss battle truely begins and then you just concentrate on the last jewel.
Yeah, that was some bullshit. I was waiting for the explanation…but no explanation came. :sad:
Oh and BTW, this game is badass. Blitzes aren’t that hard for me with Nero, you break the shield and Devil Bringer = GGPO. They actually aren’t bad with Dante either, because he has an effload of powerful guns that break the shield easy. And if it tries to suicide stab you, DT and go about your business. 
The only real annoying thing about them is that they try to follow you into the air when you jump. That shit bugs the hell out of me.
Dante’s Aerial Rave in Dark Slayer is nasty when jump canceled. Especially good against frosts and assaults, you can launch them and keep them airborne until they’re dead or you are hit. DT’d AR JC’s are even better.
Works on some enemies better than others, some not at all. And other moves can be JC’d.

I finally was able to purchase more skills for Dante. Holy shit. While he may not have as many weapons as DMC3, his number of in-game options are just ridiculous. Gilgamesh + Swordmaster + R1 + Back + Circle = WOW.
The in-game switching does take some getting used to though, I kept trying to rev up Rebellion and I completely forgot I could switch weapons/styles.
Man, I cannot beat Berial in Bloody Palace. :mad: It seems like he’s a LOT more offensive AND he has better aim. It’s frustrating, but at the same time I’m glad he’s not a pushover. That wouldn’t be fun.
Not entirely. If you get the lazer form then you can use that to knock the Savior on his ass.
I think the most annoying thing about the Sanctus battle is catching up to that fucker once you break his shield. He’s got runaway that would make Storm jealous.
yeah i don’t have the patience to mess around and get the laser. I just shoot and dodge.
But yeah you ain’t lying about Sanctus’ runaway game. You basically have to stay on his ass through the whole battle. I noticed something else too during the final battle with Sanctus.
When he’s about to charge at you, if you time the buster you can get some more damage. Of course in trying this i got fucked up but its well worth it instead of just dodging him.

Man wtf stuck already, I got to the part after you absorb the sword in the containment facility and it says to go back to find Credo. Well I got back to the district and can find no way to get any damn farther.
