Long ago the Dark Knight Sparda rebelled against Dark Emporer and waged a one-man war to save humanity. Thousands of years later, a religious worships this renowned savior and has taken it upon themselves to rid the world of all evil. Residing in Fortuna, this organization is known as the “Order of the Sword”, and is made up of an elite group of “Holy Knights”. One Day knight named Nero witnesses the renowned Devil Hunter, Dante, slaugther his fellow warriors. Has he turned his back on humanity? What does this encounter mean for these two individuals?
Characters:

Nero:
The Main Character of DMC4, voice and motion capture done by Johnny Yong Bosch. He’s the loner of the “Order of the Sword” and is often given their “dirty work”. After watching Dante kill members of the Order, he sets it upon himself to get avenge their deaths. Wields the sword Red Queen and the revolver Blue Rose. Also his right arm has transformed into the “Devil Bringer”, which allows him to perform grabs and unleash powerful slams.

Dante:
The main character of the previous games (Voiced by Reuben Langdon from DMC3) takes a different role in this outing, however he’s still playable. For reasons unknown, he slaughters members of the Order. He wields the sword Rebellion and the pistols Ebony and Ivory.

Trish: Dante’s partner for Devil Never Cry. A former creation of Mundus emulating Dante’s mother appearance.

Lady: Returning from DMC3, she was a fellow Devil Hunter that helped Dante defeat Arkham.

Kyrie:
A Supporting character. Helped raise Nero and is like a sister to him. Younger sister of Credo.

Credo:
The Supreme General of the Holy Knights, the organization charged by the Order of the Sword with protecting Fortuna, earned his title with his exceptional skills with the blade. Kyrie’s older brother.

Gloria:
Meteorically rising to the leadership position in the Order of the Sword shortly after joining the faith, Gloria’s exotic appearance and voluptuous assets set her apart from the rest.

Agnus:
Cheif Alchemist for the Order of the Sword. In charge of development of anti-demonic technologies.

Gameplay:

The Gameplay for DMC4 is very similar to the previous games. However, some changes have been made to make the game much more accessible to newcomers. As stated interviews, Hideaki Itsuno (game director) says that DMC4 with have more weapons, items, enemies, locations, music, and more cutscenes than all the previous games combined.

If any of you are worried about Nero playing EXACTLY like Dante, don’t!. Both characters are vastly different from each other. What Nero brings to the table is his Devil Bringer. Allowing him to grab enemies, toss them, and even slam them to the ground. Another element that Nero has is his ability “rev” up him sword attacks. His sword, Red Queen, has a Motorcycle handle that comes into play when the L2 button (possibly the left trigger for the 360 version) is held down. Holding it down allows the player to power up his sword attacks. However this leaves him open to enemy attacks since he is unable to attack, even with his firearms.

Dante, while not the main character, is still playable. He plays EXACTLY as he did in DMC3, though with obvious graphical updates. The style system makes a return, but it now allows players to switch styles on the fly. Which should make comboing with him a lot more interesting.

Good thread. Awesome boxart. Bought.

I’m waiting for this game to come out…
And since PS3 is region free, I won’t have to wait forever for a Europe release.

best game ever coming soon.

This game will be awesome.

I finally went back and finished 3. I bought it last year and started it about a week before vacation and just never got back to it when I got home, it was kicking my ass badly too. I’m happy to say I finished it a few times and I’m now a DMC3 combo machine. :nunchuck:

Can’t wait for 4, looks sick so far.

Quick question, how does the timeline go?

3, 1, 4, 2?

is it me or does that pic of dante look like sean bean?

Correct.

He does have a resemblance to him. Which isn’t bad because Sean Bean is awesome.

I added a few more characters. Credo, Gloria, and Agnus. I’ll get to adding some of the moves in later.

Any wallpapers? =)

Done. I’ll add more later.

^^^

Ooh, nice stuff. I’m saving some of those

Great thread . Looking into buying a 360 for this game alone.

First time seeing the Box Art. Looks good though. Anyway yeah, DMC4 is bought day one.

Wallpapers look awesome. Nice work!

About the character in the game, Gloria looks like a tranny and Angus has bitch tits…

Fixed for you.

She does not look like a tranny!

I played it on a PS3. I’m curious how the controls will work out for the 360.

nigga the hell you mean you played it? they have a demo out or did you go to an event?
