Im Fighting the old guy right now. His second form is fucking annoying tho. And the grab you can do to him is filled with win.
You can buy some time in secret mission 02 by jumping off the wall first. The dude with the video doesn’t do this, but he’s so fucking good anyway that a lot of his strats are basically unusable for most normal players (alternatively, you can do a single jump and start grabbing near the wall. Once you’re about to fall, you can wall jump for another shot at it).
Oh, and fuck the Blitz. He is dead when he turns red, though, so all you have to do is dodge at that point. And if he grabs you, you can DT out.
Just got Gilgamesh. I find Dante awkward as hell to play as after Nero, but damn he’s powerful.
You can do Secret Mission 2 in just 1 jump if your fast enough. Just do your throw immediately after the snatch, then immediately retarget and keep going.

Man out of all the boss battles, I still haven’t found a sound strategy in fighting Credo. Granted i’ve beaten him but damn its like i just try to get hits in when i can as opposed to bosses like like Bael,Agnus,Echidna,and Berial where you just run up and hit them and back off.
Using Yamato and Pandora on the second playthrough as Dante is so much fun especially when i use it against Bael and Berial if I don’t want to go in close for damage.
I finally managed to get the SSS against the knights when they do there laser move. I just devil triggered and streaked the laser and instant SSS. Felt so good doing that.
Yeah, Credo’s fight is more about provoking him to attack, dodging said attacks, then unleashing on him.

Ok so i started playing this game again after not playing for a few days. I’m stuck on mission 13 with dante. I don’t know where in the hell im supposed to go. I think im supposed to get past the lost woods but i dont know how. I light all the snakes. But after that i dont know what to do. can anybody help me? Or am i not even supposed to go to the lost woods?

While that video was pretty cool, there’s a much easier and cheaper way to beat Credo while maintaining a high stylish rating.
- Dodge his lance throws.
- Run up in his face.
- Dodge his combo of whiffs.
- Slash, grab.
Repeat it over and over, and you should get two super grabs. For the second super grab, try to get him to roughly 2.5 sections of life, then do a DT grab to finish him right there.
Am I the only person who found the charge level 2 (gun) invaluable in this game. I can pretty much instant kill anything by holding the shot till level two while doing a combo and shooting them on the ground. vrs credo thats how i beat him. i would combo him level 2 and the level 2 has a delay unblockable which does alot of damage and causes air juggle. so i just start charging and repeat. easy win.

Also S-ranking is a bit too easy in this game. 1/3rd of the game is pretty much smashing stuff to get Red Orbs, which is kinda tedious. Back in DMC3, you got graded for Red Orbs from enemies(which means you need a lot of style points). Also, they graded you on not getting hit so often. You can get to the end of the level with one pixel of life in DMC4, but if you got enough red orbs you S-rank anyway. I had to really earn my As and Ss in DMC3.
Finished Devil Hunter mode last night! It really is the best game in the series, and I don’t have many gripes and things I would change for the next game…
-The camera needs to be worked on alittle. It’s not bad when you’re just running around killing people, but jumping around using the devil arm sucks ass sometimes because you don’t land where you should, and it’s hard to re-aim yourself(I know everybody was pissed off at the secret mission lol).
-If bosses are gonna be refought, they should change up their abilities or form for the rematch more. Especially since you fight them again endgame.
-I need Turbo mode. Seriously, every DMC game should have it.
-I want Lady and Trish playable with their own styles. :tup:
Still, a definite 9.5/10. You really can’t hate a game that lets you end combos withs Final Atomic Busters and dropkicks. I HATE those damn Wavy Hand monsters because they fuck up my juggles!!:mad:
Bloody Palace is pretty fun so far, but one thing I noticed is when I was fighting Belial, I couldn’t get all his fire out and stunned so I can do the special Devil Arm attack. Anyone else noticed this?
