From what I hear, the two versions are roughly the same, except that the PS3 one loads faster due to its mandatory harddrive install (as well as some Sixaxis feature). I think it even has the same achievements as the 360 version, except PS3 doesn’t have gamerscore.
Yo if this has been posted already my bad. But this guy does a no hit s-class runthrough of the demo. I seen other ones but i like ths one too.
Damn, dude your get’n burned politley in here… Guys, i think what he’s try’n to say is, DMC doesnt have replay value through competition like fighting games do…
How many times would you play SF or VF if it was just one player… Thats all he was try’n to say in his post comparing the differenaces between DMC and fighting games…
BUT… DMC is the best action adventure or Stylish action game on the planet… Any game i have the gual to buy twice, at full price, on the relase dates, just to be able to play as Dante’s brother… Has deffinately got something working for itself. I beat that game on every mode in both versions, why, because you can allways do or see something new (unlike God of War or Ninja Gaiden) I wish DMC did have some sorta co-op play, imagine the sickness:sad: Maybee the next game will have it.
EDIT: Oh, AZ, i wanna ask, can u jump on mosters and ride them with Nero like Dante did in DMC3??? because i remeber in the first trailer for the game Nero was riding some monsters around that fountain area that was in the demo (second stage i guess) I keep forgeting to try it on the demo, have you tried it yet?? If so is it an upgrade?
That would be a valid point if you were playing something like (this isnt a cheap shot here trust me) Ninja Gaiden or God Of War. Devil May Cry doesnt have that dial-a-cool-combo thing so your fighting possibilities are very open ended. On top of juggles and everything else its really an unmatched experience.
I mean the game has a combo system that rivals the best fighters out there. They are breaking the engine in the demo for christs sakes. Just frames? Rebounding? Thats a fighting game if I ever heard one. Im still mad they dont have a power stone-esque deathmatch mode I have been praying about since DMC2.
In the end he just comes across as someone who although genuine in his delivery, seems like he doesnt know what the fuck hes talking about attempting to lend a seasoned opinion. The replay value in DMC is just as rewarding for players as trying to perfect those strings in the fighters we love so much. If you’ve spent HOURS in practice mode say “I” !!!
ok, if in the second half of the game you’re playing back over nero’s parts, do the environments change at all?
Hopefully thats the only difference then. I had pre-ordered the game and paid it off for the 360 then I get a PS3 for Christmas. Just used to playing DMC on a PS pad so it might take me some time to adjust on the 360 controller. :arazz:
Trust me, it’s a fast adjustment. I’ve had no problems switching back and forth for the demo and DMC3.
I just got the art book from gamestop. I told them about it and ask for it because I per-order it. They gave it to me. It’s got some nice artwork. Is anyone going to try and get all the achievements for this game. I know I will.
look guys i understand ya gettin onmy ass bout this game. dmc is a great game no doubt i love it. its jus the budget im goin threw with money is a big issue. im tryin to buy a game thats gona keep me busy for a while bc i prolly wont buy another game for a while. proly till battlefield bad company. thats another reason i didt buy cod4 bc BF bad company is comin out. im gona end up buyin dmc4 anyways jus not now. prolly till some1 sells it around the game store i live in. they sell used ps3 games for 35-40 bucks which is not bad.
So you didn’t buy COD4 cause it wouldn’t have kept you busy? That game has made amounts of replay value alone in Multiplayer.
I don’t know…you said you had a budget so i guess thats good reasoning.
thnks for understanding. right now im jus playin tekken and jus got ninja gaiden that my cuzin got me. he got it for 35 bucks used and no scratchs which is a pretty good deal.that should keep me busy for a while bc i no for a fact that game is hard as hell
Just finished watching 1up’s DMC4 review and i really didn’t know people were bitching about the difficulty in DMC3. To hear it straight from 1up had me laughing real hard cause the DMC3 wasn’t that difficult.
I found it difficult but damnit I love that aspect.
See thats the thing i loved about DMC3. No matter how difficult the game was i was having to much fun during combat to really care.
I just finished it on normal a few days ago and when I get home on monday I’ll start it on hard.
dmc 3 was pretty hard lol
DMC3 wasn’t hard really. What made it hard on normal was going for that SS rank. It was more challenging. I loved it. I still play it(cuz I don’t have DMC4:sad:)Cereberus was the only boss that really gave me trouble. And that one mission where you have to fight all the bosses all over again.:wasted: That was madness.
It got crazy when you upped the difficulty though. Very Hard/DMD… Two hits and gotta start all over for that SS rank. Btw, was I the only one that found Hell Vanguard harder than Cereberus and Beowulf w/Vergil? I just couldn’t get it. HV just was a pain in the ass w/Vergil for me.
@Blazeu25: I got much better at GG! When is that rematch gonna happen?!
Am I the only one that thought that Cerberus was relatively easy compared to later bosses?
Nevan is the one that got me. It took me a while to avoid that health sucking attack.
Yeah, she was a bitch. Thinking back, I think she was the hardest for me, personally.
