Stop using it. DMC players don’t take shortcuts.
I wouldn’t call it a shortcut and besides i’m only using it for the Son of Sparda playthrough for the rank and for fun.
I was pretty damn successful prior to using automatic anyways.
Exactly. So you didn’t need it anyway. You got skill instead.
Finished the game on human, going through on devil hunter now (and doing secret missions… ugh). I would say I like more of the features in 3 better overall, but by far 4 is the smoothest playing dmc game and that counts for a lot.
Anyone know of a place with good DMC4 wallpapers? I’m more interested in the scenery and levels than character-orientated themes.
I still can’t beat Level 20 of Bloody Palace. I think I need to stop jumping so damn much.
The only ones with scenery I can find are the two on the official site. =(
so does anyone else hate the boardgame with a passion? after the 3rd time i got Bael, i just quit.
Dante > Nero.
It’s easy. When the number you want is on top of the die, use buster on it, and you will get that number.
Honestly, after fighting the bosses twice already, you should be able to beat them again, no sweat.
And, it isn’t Bael you fight, but one of his brothers. Don’t recall the name though, and it doesn’t make much difference anyway, I guess.
Am I the only one who found the game easier with Dante? I seriously found it easier to get higher combos and beat enemies with him.
Who said the game gets hard when you switch to Dante? I’m destroying all the bosses in record time with him.
However, the electric frost-like lizard did kill me the first time I ran into him. So far that’s the only enemy that has been deadly for me.
What’s better when upgrading your abilities with the Proud Souls? Picking your upgrades yourself, or using the Auto Skill Up?
I wonder what Auto Skill Up gives you. But I don’t really see how that’s any better than choosing your own tools.
And Bael’s bros are Dagons.
It seems like it gives you a bunch of stuff packaged together, for possibly a cheaper price. I’ll try to look into it more if I play later tonight. Or maybe it’s only for Human mode.
I got all the way up to Dante as regular Nero on Bloody Palace and got owned  Got a B ranking and its puts me at #17 on the U.S. 360 boards. What sucks even worse, is that I was owning SO HARD up till then. Aw well. I got a bunch of proud souls, and bought the last skills for Nero/Dante. 100 achievement points right there
680 points down.
So I think I’ve figured out how stylish points are calculated.
-The first few hits (before you even get a D rank) don’t count at all, but they will get you to your D rank faster.
-D rank is base-level for your point acquisition. For example, a regular sword slash with Nero gets you 20 points, and a regular gun shot gets you 1 point.
-From C rank and onward, you start to get multipliers on your points. C is like 1.2x or something, where A is 6x. I imagine SSS is something ridiculous like 20x.
-Taunts don’t add points.
-Hitting fixtures and combat adjudicators don’t add points.
Actually, I’m not sure about those multiplier values, since I was in DT when I checked A rank, and I forgot about the spectral swords.
So, don’t know if it’s been asked, but who’s the hardest boss in the game?
For me, it’s the main encounter with Dante. Also Berial seems tough too.
this makes things easier, ty
Changed to reflect my opinion.
holy shit i finally managed to throw the spear back at Credo, ITS FUCKIN BADASS! Nero just grabs that shit and impales his ass with it. Best Boss Fight Ever.
btw, hardest boss in the game would be Dante. i just fought him in Son of Sparda, he doesnt play D:
