I never said they were hard, just annoying. On part of the phasing through walls and lance throwing. As for the shadows, i thought they were really fun to fight.
Hmm, I’d probably replace Gladiuses with Nobodies from DMC1 (pretty much the worst designed enemies of the lot back then, I’d say). Shadows didn’t bother me much, either.
EDIT: Most annoying, IMO (in no particular order)…
1./Enigma (DMC3; whoever honestly thought these things would be a good idea deserves one of Nero’s drop kicks to the face)
2./The Fallen (DMC3; probably the worst flying enemies in the series)
3./Damned Knight (DMC3; the stomping pisses me off more than anything else about them)
4./Soul Eaters (DMC3; completely pointless enemy, BTW)
5./Arachne (DMC3; the little spiders that could actually hurt you by latching onto you unless you shot them all merely added insult to injury)
6./Hell Lust (DMC3; the priority on the uppercut they use on higher difficulties couldn’t be more idiotic)
7./Geryon (DMC3; just a lame boss, really)
8./Nobodies (DMC1; simply no fun to fight)
9./Blood Goats (DMC2; I’m not sure what was worse, their lame ass somersault kicks or their fireballs with nothing short of godlike tracking)
10./Cutlass (DMC4; still not too sure how to fight them effectively, to be honest)
Not surprisingly, most of the ones I hated most came from DMC3, a large part of why I felt burnt out on that one in spite of the combat system.
Which ones are the cutlass again? If it’s those flying swords then I totally agree. They pissed me off so bad during that one boss fight on mission 6 where you had to throw them into the glass.
Those golden knights are annoying cause you can’t just go behind them like the regular knights. Takes a while to break their shield too…
That’s why I don’t pay attention to those scores. It’s like us actually believing anything that those close-minded people on G4 say. (bleh) I find it funny how the average score is lower than the overall gamer score. There’s people giving games like dmc4 and lost odyssey 9 out of 10 or 10 out of 10 on the same exact sites lol. Guess they actually know how to play the game well and notice more things than just the usual stuff.
Cutlass is the enemy that tunnels underground. Other than just grabbing them when they pop up (or shotgun blasting them), I don’t know of any real effective way to fight them.
And I’m only one S away from a perfect all-S file for Devil Hunter: mission 2. What the fuck does it fucking take!?
I gotta hand it to you guys. I could never sit there and try to get a perfect score. Not deliberately at least. I think I’ll try Must Die mode FIRST, and then see how much of a breeze it is trying to THEN go back and get better scores on the other stages.
There are two areas where I’m not scoring enough points: style (which is really my own fault, but those fucking puppets die to damn quickly) and orbs (there’s an orb cache I’m missing somewhere for sure). After you get the cache on top of the windmill thing, your Soul of Whatever that looks for hidden shit continues to glow. There must be something there, but I can’t figure out where.
For the cutlass, simply shoot them with E&I while their “swimming” to slow em down and then stinger -> high time and begin their demise. In their DT, use charge shots or nicely timed Lucifer explosion or Slash Dimension.
:u:There’s two sets on that windmill. One inside the hut and one on top.
Yeah, that guy is insane. I wish he would put up more DMD runs.
He was simply using Calibur.
Detonate the blades with R1+back+triangle.
For any that need help, this account has vids that show the locations for blue orbs, red orbs, and secret missions. He also includes vids on how to do the secret missions.
I don’t know how you guys are ranking Blitz at the top of the enemy food chain. You only encounter the fucker twice and that’s towards the end of the game. You had to fight like, 3 Fallen Angels at once and they would just stalk you throughout.
That jap player is too good. Now I’ll be able to rack up s rank on berial. He always gave me trouble cause I didn’t know how to dodge a few of those random sword swings, but now I see. I was able to manage S on the she venom mission with Nero on DMD. She’s the easiest boss yet.
I wonder how the jap player deals with the annoying enemies we just listed. Maybe he could show us some strats to kill them faster.
Playing through Son of Sparda mode and i’m doing pretty good right now. Managed to A rank everything so far but then just to gamble i decided to see what automatic does during Mission 8 and man i didn’t even know it basically does everything for you. I mean i managed to SS enemies that i would normally S.
It does everything for you combo wise and it even instant revs for you too. Its a pretty sweet deal and it seems like using automatic there isn’t a ranking penalty.
