Most dishes are with rice, vegetables and fish while the west eats everything that is deep fried and drown that greasy shit in soda.
Getting off topic but… plenty of good food in the west too, it’s just a shame that the default options for large sections of the population are all calorie dense and nutritionally almost empty… tasty, but still not that great for health. And soda needs to stop. Empty calories.
One of my fav things about living here for the last ten years is the variety, affordability and availability of unsweetened bottled tea.

How many commentators can speak competent english, Japanese and a couple of Chinese languages?
Zhi is one of the most valuable guys in the international FGC. He can call a match in English and Chinese, have an interview with a top level japanese player and relay the information in real time on the stream.
After watching the wcg stream it should be abundantly clear that we need to get Zhi on commentary more often.

I think I jokingly asked one of the competitors at Capcom Cup Korea quals if he had ADD. But beyond the jokes he makes (some I laugh at, some get stretched a little thin), he is knowledgeable about the game, he’s also one of the few guys in the community that connects with pretty much every area in the community. Being able to speak Japanese certainly helps.
Besides, even if you think he’s a terrible commentator, there are far worse out there, looking at WCG finals…why they didn’t hire Zhi or others to commentate is beyond me. Being sponsored by a Korean company, they probably could’ve even gotten Laugh to come in for commentary, but nope…
The WCG finals commentators are pros who know their job and do it well. Thing is, their job is commentating Starcraft 2 and LoL.
That’s why I’m complaining more about the WCG than them personally. They probably just got told to do AE, and only had a few hours to bone up on anything in the game. If you’re going to provide X game for your tournament, you need to find people that are knowledgeable about that game to commentate.
That’s why people don’t shit on Dreamhack, because they may be a multi-genre tournament, but they still pull out commentators like Ryan Hart, Logansama, and F-Word to do commentary, and they do a fairly good job. It’s 2013, we’ve been streaming for over 4 years, there’s no excuse to NOT have a top level commentator involved Fighters when we have those people available on 3 different continents that speak English.
Don’t worry, Zhi told me on twitter that he would “x-copy” the WCG commentary.

Americans are fat because they eat too much processed junk food, it doesn’t have anything to do with carbs. You know there’s a book called «wheat belly» and the author himself is fat. But have fun starving yourself of carbs, while I eat almost half a kg of carbs a day and stay lean.
There should be more Zhi and Chris Hu, also guys like Mike Ross. All I personally like is solid commentary with some smart humor thrown in. I consider the dark times to be when Jaha was popular.

Dreamhack’s commentary was great, though.
