Infiltration doesn’t know enough English yet to even do a Chris Hu. He’s trying though.
I don’t think Laugh’s ever done commentary, but he is very knowledgeable so if he got put on the mic, he could at least pull a good analysis of the match. You could put someone like Zhi on for color commentary, even though Zhi does know what he’s talking about, he seems to enjoy the color commentary side more.
Zhi is hilarious. When you understand the game enough you don’t need a commentator that explains everything you already know, you want somebody bullshitting on the mic to make you laugh while you watch the match. I don’t need somebody telling me for the 100th time that sagat’s ex tiger knee is safe on block again.
Another thing is commutes in Japan typically involve the subway and walking to and from there. Commutes in the West consist of walking to and from your car, a lesser distance.
Carbs would be less of a problem in America if Americans just simply walked more.
we’re all attracted to the color but it’s the authenticity of the characters behind that color that matters so much. The reason there’s an entire thread devoted to this topic is that Zhi is sooooo fake and unoriginal it’s unbearable. It’s like he’s following a fu**in computer algorithm embedded in his brain just greasing off of other commentator’s styles. No real connection to that wonderful moment where player, audience, and hype all come together
I do not understand what Zhi has done to warrant this sort of hate.
I have no strong feelings towards it either way. Sometimes his taste in jokes is … odd, but he’s a solid commentator. I can’t really see anything in him that makes any sort of intense hate for him worth it.
hes been in the scene, always been at the tournaments… you’ve been at home. if you put in the work you can commentate like him and get to his position and show him how you think it should be done. otherwise save your comments for stream chat.
