Zhi is one of the few guys not just sucking the ego of whoever he’s interviewing, that alone makes him better than damn near every other one we got.
No wonder people hate him.
Zhi’s not a bad commentator. He knows about the game, and he provides relevant information about the match between his random references. I’d say that while some of his jokes are funny, some are pretty low even for an FGC commentator. Helen Keller jokes have never been in good tastse imo. He should definitely stop using derogatory jokes like those. Other than that, he’s cool. He’s not the only commentator who needs/needed to show self-restraint on stream (I love Yipes commentary, but there was only so many times I could hear “nigga” used during a match before I got tired of it. Glad that he’s cleaned it up a bit)
Everybody has their favorites and least favorites. I’d like J-Chen and Skisonic a lot more if they took opioids or something because hype makes them sound annoying. But they are supporting the scene. That’s all the defending they need. You don’t have to list their skills or whatever. They are supporting the scene.
By time SF5 comes out every FGC commentator will sound like Pat Summerall. S-Kill shed a tear at the prospect. S-Kill’s tears should be used as an indicator of what’s wrong for the FGC. Keep his eyes dry.

there is really no ignorance happening here, just people who disagree with you. you can’t be ignorant about “is this commentator enjoyable to listen to.” you can only form an opinion and express it.

As far as…shudder esports commentators, 2GD aka James Harding is the most similar to FGC’s commentators.
Shit talks about all the players/other commentators/the game… etc… great jokes and people love him. Though yeah aside from him, eh not much other than what we have.
I enjoy his commentary as well. Only team rush hour is more fun.

That’s PIE Lee Chung, and what I find funny about this is - without Team PIE bringing all those people together (remember its a house stream, actually to be specific, it’s HIS house) you wouldn’t even have seen those matches in order to complain about his commentary, lol. Anyway, it’s amazing how much people complain but won’t lift a finger to organize anything themselves.
