Thats funny, I always asummed because of the school logo, and Sakura, Karin, and Kei, that it was an all girls school, but now I just read that a boy named Yuu goes their as well.

But now Im wondering what the hell the male student uniforms look like, ie what did Batsu’s uniform look like before he converted it, cause I havnt seen artwork of it, and I havnt seen a picture of Yuu either.

Can anyone help me out with a pic or description of something?

Geez from what I can tell the Tayio and Tamagawa uniforms for both the males and females are fairly similar.

If the (summer) Tamagawa (male) uniforms are like you say, short sleeve white button up shirt, and navy blue pants, then they are exactly like the (summer) Taiyo (male) uniforms.

Tamagawa was probaly just such a minor school in RS that, they didnt put as much thought or detail into it as the other schools (obviously)

Well, anyways, the cameos in the background of SFA2 were just… well, cameos in the background of SFA2. Ignoring the fact that that was a costume party (because I recall various nonSF characters appearing in SF3 backgrounds where the costume party excuse doesn’t exist), they weren’t like, actually interacted with or anything, as opposed to the arcade with the Street Fighter games where various Rival Schools characters actually played them and had character preferences, even (like how Hayato is a big Akuma fan), which was significantly more than an easter egg, I think. And… I don’t really think it’s a good idea to give much weight to Sakura playing the wonderswan in the SFA anime because… well, it’s the SFA anime. Since when did that have any weight on canon whatsoever?

Capcom could easily retcon RS to fit back into the SF storyline, although I’m not sure why they’d want to since indications I’ve seen are that they’ve retconned the thing out of the SF storyline in the first place.

Ah well. Someone I know from another board is going to Capcom to work there for a brief bit. I asked him to see if he could ask them what was up with Rival Schools and Street Fighter. That might hopefully settle things once and for all (though it probably won’t. I mean, if Udoneko and Living Room games couldn’t settle it, I doubt he will, but eh, might as well try). Also, a whole bunch of people requested he get info on Poison’s current gender situation :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, since I haven’t heard/Seen any RS CDs ever or Evo Discs and I generally ignored Snowstorm’s Plot Guides, maybe I can bring a very fresh perspective, though I don’t know that much about RS.

It has been said everywhere that Natsu was Batsu’s old Sparring Partner so I had always assumed he formerly attended Gorin High before his Transfer to Taiyo. Just assuming though, can’t confirm squat. Of course, just because he sparred with someone doesn’t mean they were students together.

Codys SFA3 stage is located in the Metro City Police Department/Detention Center (United States). His SFA3 nickname translates to Capricious prison-breaker. For those who dont know, capricious means whimsical, unpredictable, or impulsive. His FFR nickname is Cmon Lets fight! His fighting style is listed as Martial arts. His height is listed as 185cm and his weight is listed as 80kg (like in Tiamats FAQ), so Capcom probably changed his stats since FF1.

Rolentos fighting style is listed as hand-to-hand combat/fighting techniques. His birthday is listed as November 15. There isnt a year. I couldnt make sense out of his SFA3 nickname. His CvS2 nickname translates to Solo martial law. His FFR nickname translates to At the time of soldier revolution, or At the time of a military-man revolution. His SFA2 stage is located in New York. His SFA3 stage is located in a New York Camouflaged Subway.

Sakuras SFA3 nickname translates to something like She overflows without thinking and doesnt stop. Its a very bad translation. Her MvC2 nickname translates to something like High school girl street fighter. Her CvS nickname translates to something like Super Woman high school student. Sakuras SFA2 stage is located at Setagaya-ku, 2-Choume, Tokyo, Japan. Her SFA3 stage is located in a Flower Shopping Center.

Chun-Lis SSF2 nickname translates to something like Splendid Dancing which tears the sky. Her SFA3 nickname translates to something like Determined to attack the great evil. I couldnt make sense out of her 3rd Strike nickname. I read somewhere that its The kicking force is back, but it seems different here. It something like The kicking beauty. Her XMvSF nickname is The beautiful vengeance person. Her MvC2 nickname is Beautiful female detective. Her CvS nickname is the Long-legged beauty of fascination. Her SF2 stage is located in the shopping quarters (China). Her SFA stage is located along the Great Wall of China. Her SFA2 stage is located in Beijing. Her SFA3 stage is located in Zhidan Plaza, China. Her 3rd Strike stage is located in the shopping quarters (China). They mention her cameo in the background of Ryus New Generation stage.

Cammy’s SSF2 nickname is “Innocent battle bee”. Her SFZ3 nickname translates to something like “The battle doll of forgetfulness,” or “The forgotten battle doll”. Her XMvSF nickname is “Execute!” Her CvS nickname is “Human weapon”. Her SSF2 stage is located in an Old castle (Britain). Her SFA3 stage is located on “Mikonos Island, Greece”.

Karin’s SFA3 nickname is “Super girl”. She has 2 SFA3 stages. One of them is located in a Flower Shopping Center (Japan). The other one is located on a boat called “Queen of Victoria number (Japan)”.

Btw, Charlie’s special SFA2 stage where he fights Bison is located in the Guiana Highlands - Great Waterfalls, Venezuela.

I, personally, think that Rival Schools was created by Capcom BECAUSE of Sakura. That is, an attempt to cash in on the popularity of Sakura at the time.

I mean, Hinata looks so much like Sakura, it’s not funny. (I could mention Batsu’s similarities to Ryu, but then I’d have to bring up Ryo Sakazaki, Kyo Kusanagi, Sol Badguy, Kazuya Mishima, Akira Yuki… every fighting game has a “Ryu” in it somewhere…)

The game was probably created by Capcom to wrap around Sakura, but then the characters developed a fan following, so they wrote Sakura out of the series so the other characters could shine. (But that doesn’t make sense… why would you write a popular character out of a series? SF3 would have completely tanked if not for Ryu & Ken…)

I think we’ll see another Rival Schools, but who knows when? (BTW, this year is the 5th anniversary of Rival Schools: United by Fate… the game, not the band.)

with the brainwash abilities , hyo brainwashed all the students of Justice HS and turned into his soldier , that include raizo …
most of their objective is to capture more elite students from other schools …daigo was one example … hyo and yuu had already planned to capture him … hideo and kyoko was also brainwashed and turn into hyo’s agent …( hey agent smith ! )

later hyo was defeated by students from various school , and you know who they are … the RS GANg … and hyo realize that Hyo’s brainwashing technique does not work easly because of the spirit of love , friendship and courage * cough cough cough *
and he also felt that his ambition is wrong … by doing so …eeer it so he thought that showing education to the world is better … ( in kyosuke ending )

in PJ , as the imawano-clan had a new leader , now they are called " Darkside Society Organization " … those group has send out kurow to assasinate hyo and raizo , the traitors …
so kurow was ordered to do so … but kurow has his own plan …
instead of doing that simple task , he would rather take over the school … , by doing so he assasinated raizo and brainwashed hyo imawano to be his assistant …not to forgot that he also brainwashed a few students and formed his own group " the darkside student congress "… basicly kurow 's doing the job himself … now what he need was to brainwash the others … he also captured daigo to be his accomplish …

everyone was confused about batsu and daigo attacking his own friends … and the mystery behind the attack of raizo …

the end : later the truth has been uncovered , and realize their mistake … soon everyone was aftering kurow … kurow has now where to escape but to use hyo imawano as a final resort , and in fact kurow himself has been deceived , hyo wasn’t mind controlled by kurow … but the problem was hyo was up to something … after he brutally attacked kurow … hyo later turned berserk and his body was possessed by mugen imawano … and turned into D.hyo
the only way to stop it is to kill it …

when D.hyo dies … well … preety sad … hyo dies …too … sad ending for taiyo HS …

and for kurow … he has been hospitalize …the next 3 days …he’s gone with all the place messed up …

it is possible for the next RS3 … since the DSO(darkside society Organization ) was untouch , they could send more accomplish to kill kurow and raizo …DSO still doesn’t know about raizo’s familiy back ground (batsu and sizuku )

As far as my CFAS Fan Fic was concerned, yeah, back then I was convinced that Akira was all bad. Having Sodom recruit her to Mad Gear and then having Death recruit her for his team is the only logical explanation I could think of to get her in Metro City. Honestly, I don’t think Akira would ever go to Metro City of all places.

With Batsu, him being a Foreign Exchange Student in my Fic has a lot more to do with the fact that he’s wearing his school uniform, which I also don’t understand why he wouldn’t be wearing something more Touristy, or regular clothes.

Take the stuff in my fic regarding RS with a HUGE grain of salt. I don’t know how Capcom was going to explain those two in Metro City but I bet they were going to do their usual lazy explanation “they were looking for a fight and traveled half way around the world to find one.”

As far as the Timeline of my Fic, tentatively I’m placing it in 2000 so most of the characters can fit, but even that would push SF3 up a few years since it takes place right before SF3. RS is supposed to take place in '99 originally. Megaman is supposed to have been created 20XX, so for my Fic imagine 2000. It’s never stated when Strider was born and Strider 1 & 2 show he can live for at least 100 years without aging so long as he’s not killed off. For Darkstalkers, Resident Evil and Devil May Cry, there’s not to much in my Fic that really contradicts much. (to those who have never read my Fic, I’ve tossed in lots of other Capcomers.) With all that, there are still some discrepancies, but I don’t think people care all that much. So long as I don’t outright say in the Fic “Year 2000” most people will just adjust my Fic to the timeline they prefer or just treat as out of continuity, which I feel CFAS was supposed to be anyway.

And as far as other RS stuff I got wrong, Tiffany and Roy’s appearances are my version of “Easter Eggs” so I don’t feel the need to Edit them out. Just take my Fic as “WAY OUT OF RS CONTINUITY.” Sadly when I wrote the Fic, I knew a lot about all the other characters except for the two RS characters so my apologies.

here are the back story of gedo world …

those days before daigo and gedo gang , gedo city and gedo HS was taken by the bad ass ghettos , Kaze No Bosouzoku …
so daigo kazama came to the city … and that he was wearing the skull helmet and the bike … when entered this city and knew about the situation of this criminal filled city … he formed his own gang , gedo gang . As the leader of the Gedo gang sworn to protect the city . he had a few thugs and ready to take down the gang … and that were the legendary gang wars , and defeated the kaze no bosouzoku , after the war , the loser ran away , daigo and gedo gang had the city as their territory … now most of the ex-member of the kaze no bosouzoku are now loyal to daigo … and the important thing about gedo gang is “honor” but most of the gedo thugs has no sence … most of em’ still can get violated if offended … so gedo thugs usually , patrol around the city to seek out trouble and suspision , because they might thought they will came back or other outsiders … will invade this city …

and daigo tend not to use the bike and the helmet anymore after the end of the gang war …as now it is peace , WELL obviously ! he live in an appartment close to Gedo HS , duh !

and well akira was in other school before tranfering to gedo to searh her brother , who was missing in action … ( which is RS1 ) , so akira was worried and showing concern to her brother… ( she luvs her brother :stuck_out_tongue: alot ) she had no choice but to disguise herself as a boy , wearing the suit and the skull helmet , and investigate and also seek out for company to assist her , and she said " i’m daigo’s brother , what happen to him !? where he gone to ! i’m looking for him " …while some thugs , " well , yeah i’m kinda worried with boss , hey how bout’ we help you " that was gan and edge …

and that time before the gedo gang leader was gone … actually the city was mysteriously under attack by some outsiders , and a few thugs got injured and most of the students were kidnapped … too , so daigo know who was behind all this … ( most of the clue were given too much to daigo ,Hyo and yuu do this in purpose to lure daigo and capture him , daigo is guarenteed ! ELITE !! )…daigo was sort of confident and determine in this confrontation , and up he got his right eye scarred … and lost his sence of …eeer pride …being defeated and because of his over-confident … attitude

ending of Gedo in RS 1 : yeah daigo was resqued , and daigo was laughing to hear " your brother brought use to safe you boss " and akira removed hi…um her helmet … and happy to got back her brother " SHE’S A GIRL !! " …daigo was proud of akira that she was able to resque her brother …and had improve much …

( reason :Daigo believes that when helping children on the streets, it is better to first encourage them to try to solve the problem by themselves (and then only help them out if it turns out impracticable) than to help them out at once. He considers it very important for children to learn to have faith in their own strength. which also appy on akira …

as akira …GOODNESS SAKE !! she’s been in gedo HS for 1 year ! 1st year , no wonder i keep seeing P.akira pics in evo1 and 2 !! … ok yeah she goes to school with her helmet around…just imagine … if the teacher won’t allow her to wear it. … LOL that time , only edge , gan and daigo know her true identity …

in the 2nd year , she transfer to seijyunn …i still don’t know why … she wasn’t able to appreciate the life style in there …and she does not want to tell anyone that she was used to be in a boys school ! but only yurika and zaki knows it … yurika was akira’s best friend … ( eer hem ! )

akira haven’t knew about zaki , but only made friend with when she got the incident … the incident was daigo’s mystery , because daigo’s attitude and personality was just bizzare …
so yurika and akira investigate about it …by asking zaki for help …

why daigo’s personality changed ?? because he’s brainwashed …duh , why brainwashed ?? he got strong mind … no, because of teh scar ! the feeling of being defeated and his mistake the morality ! kurow take the advantage and mind controlled the leader of the Gedo gang …began ordering attacks on the other schools …but actiually it was kurows plan and order … but he need daigo to command em’ …

main-event …

after a few attacks with daigo , gan and edge … daigo ran away … back to Gedo HS …edge and gan realize something wrong about it 1st was why they attack natsu nad the crew thoguh they are just looking for shoma … edge and gan finally realizing that their leader is getting weird …so they got off back to the school and edge’s junior report some news to edge and gan , that daigo was ordering the whole gang for an assault …on seijyuun ! edge’s 1st thouhg " AKIRA IS IN THERE !! " …so edge and gan looked for akira and zaki … (yurika was wounded ) …later zaki received news from her thugs about daigo attacking her school … so the 4 of em’ regrouped and
and of course you see , gedo gang and ladies’ team facing each other … ( yuck…ugly bitches) … as the 4 of em’ were there , the attack was stopped , and daigo turned to W.daigo … so akira and her friends co-operated together to recover daigo’s concsiousness …it was successful … daigo was recovered … .daigo know everything about the plot , though he was like just lost his memory " i remember it was here "
and that time they are in the mountains which was close to Justice HS …and meet kurow and yurika " yurika how could you do this !! " kurow try to play the flute … and control daigo again … OKOKOK there is 2 stuff out here , 1, daigo was able to fight back the process of brainwashing …2, zaki came in time and able to stop kurow’s music show … later kurow got defeated … and ran back to school , and yurika followed him too…

when akira and daigo reached there … it was dark later… you’ll see yurika holding on kurow who was brutally wounded …* BLOOD* …and you’ll see D.hyo … but at this time daigo IS fighting it ! " it’s time to pay an old debt " …
well again the heroes won again …

at that time … ( i forgot the ending…don’t remember it ) daigo wanted to go on a travel again …to re-evaluate himself and improving too , he was proud of gan , edge and akira to able to resque him again , and defeated him again … this time akira got daigo’s coat as a thropyand daigo left .before he left , he wanted edge and gan temporarly incharge of the gang protecting the city …

Okay, I never thought my one (or two) posts about RS would go this far, but anyways, to get back to SF (a bit) let me ask you guys this.

"What if one thing in the SF Universe had been diffrient? How would it of changed things?

Sorry to sound like a movie preview or something, but “what if” Capcom decided to go the “what if?” route with SF (not counting EX, thats ARIKA’s what if)

WHAT IF?

  • Ryu submitted to the Satsu No Hadou
  • Ken never met/married Eliza
  • Ken strived to become as powerful as Ryu
  • Chun Li’s father never died
  • Sakura became one of the dolls
  • Akuma was killed by Goutetsu
  • Gouken was alive (result of the above)
  • Charlie never died
  • Gouken never kicked out Dan
  • Dan killed Sagat (result of the above)
  • Bison never died (SFA3)
  • Cammy continued to be a doll
  • Blanka was never exposed to radiation
  • Fei Long continued to be a movie star
  • Balrog wasnt banned from boxing
  • Urien had killed Gill
  • Makoto was Ryu’s long lost sister (was her original storyline for SF3)

You guys come up with some too, but try and make them within reason, ie take something thats canon and throw a “what if?” on it, dont do anything like “What if Ryu and Chun Li hooked up and had a kid” type thing.

I looked at stuff from the Canon and then thought what would of happend if it went the other way, which I suggest doing before coming up with something for the list or yourself (sorry to seem so bossy or whatever)

I thought it might be a fun thing to contemplate, and who knows I might make a game design out of it (since Ive already designed several “fan games” already, another one probaly wont hurt)

He would have eventually advanced beyond then killed Akuma and then taken his place (IE, Evil Ryu’s SFA3 ending). From there, he’d be the one to kill Bison in SF2, then basically from there just do everything Akuma did (Destroy a mountain, stay underwater, NOTHING)

  • Ken never met/married Eliza

Nothing, really. Ken marrying Eliza actually doesn’t seem to have much relevance as far as I can tell to the grand scheme of anything besides Ken’s own personal story. If Ken never met/married Eliza, then Ken would have never met/married Eliza and have Mel, but that’s about it, really.

  • Ken strived to become as powerful as Ryu

Not much difference that I can think of. They’d probably still just be rivals too this day, only slightly more intense.

  • Chun Li’s father never died

Honestly don’t think it would have made much difference. Revenge is only one of Chun-Li’s goals, really, as opposed to Guile, who centers on it.

  • Sakura became one of the dolls

She probably would have been stronger than Cammy (Sakura + Doll enhancement = ouch!). And been a boss of SFA3, stronger than Juni and Juli combined. Other than that, she’d probably follow the same storyline as the rest of the Dolls (saved by Cammy at the end) and Ryu’s SFA3 storyline would have been basically the same thing sans Sakura, really (Ken fighting Bison by himself until Ryu breaks out of the control, I guess).

  • Akuma was killed by Goutetsu

Bison would tell Ryu about Satsu no Hadou instead of Akuma then things would have proceeded as normal, sans Akuma, I suppose. Oh, and Gouken would still be around but just to like, give mentor advice.

  • Gouken was alive (result of the above)

  • Charlie never died

Charlie would have participated in SF2 instead of Guile, I guess.

  • Gouken never kicked out Dan

Dan would have succombed to satsu no hadou, kill Gouken, kill Akuma, then take Akuma’s place from then on while screaming “SAIKYO!!!”

  • Dan killed Sagat (result of the above)

Ken would have had to fight Ryu then Bison himself in SFA3. Ryu would still break out and shoryuken Bison in the end, though.

  • Bison never died (SFA3)

He’d be stronger in SF2. That’s about it, really. I imagine Akuma would have still killed him.

  • Cammy continued to be a doll

Problem is, how? Do you mean Bison never betraying her? Vega never saving her? Delta Red not taking her in? Or Cammy still being brainwashed even after Delta Red took her in? There are a LOT of different things that contributed to Cammy not being a doll, so just asking “what if she continued to be a Doll?” is too vague a question.

Given the storyline significance of SF3 Third Strike endings in general, the two probably would have just said “WOW!” then shook hands, say “Nice meeting you, brother/sister!” and go their separate ways. Makoto’s and Ryu’s SF3 Third Strike endings would then be the same as they currently are.

You know, think of the most insane stuff that could happen within (the) reason (of the canon) then try to throw it together into a (somewhat) sensable storyline.
