Hi to everyone in the forum, I am a newcomer here, and I think this forum is a “spectacular spectacular” For my first post, I would like to post a wishlist for Capcom vs. SNK 3, because I think it has great potential to rejuvenate Capcom games.

Note :
- Japanese names are used here, so “M. Bison” is the boxer, and “Vega” is the Shadaloo general
- “Metsu” is Evil Ryu, it’s what’s written on his back, so his name is not “Evil Ryu” anymore, but “Metsu”
- “Ashura” is Shin Gouki
- The “name / name” you see explains the character and his or her more powerful form, so Ken players can unlock Psycho Ken, Kyo to Saishu, Vega to Psycho Vega, etc
I’ll post more, comment please? I believe you can improve this list much more, but also state the reason whenever you propose an insertion or a deletion of character…
There is a great potential for a great storyline in CVS3 as well, my interpretation is that when Gouki reaches the “martial art god” status, he actually becomes an express embodiment of a martial art god. “Ashura” is the martial deity of the Japanese, the Indian, the Nepalese, and to an extent, the Chinese as well, that’s actually why I change “Shin Gouki” to “Ashura”, you can see very clearly from his character design that he resembles the image of “Ashura”.
Whereas “Metsu” means “Destruction”, pure and simple. Evil Ryu is the express embodiment of Destruction itself. This is because he practices “Ansatsuken” (“Fist of the Assassin”) albeit a toned down one, the destructive forces have always been latent inside the practitioners of Ansatsuken such as Ryu, Ken, Gouki, etc…
I believe when Gouki achieves the state of “Ashura”, he is beyond good and evil already, remember that evil angels reside in heaven too, and good angels guard in hell as well. He is simply said to be “Man of God”, which is the writing on his back. It is very interesting to note that “Man of God” is the transliteration of “Gabriel”, who is the “Warrior of God”.
Furthermore, “Metsu, Destruction” has a parallel in “Abaddon”, the Angel and Lord of Destruction who in the Jewish and Christian Apocalyptic tradition will be defeated and chained up by none other than Gabriel and Raphael!
I think we have an apocalyptic battle here, one between an “Ashura, Warrior of God” assigned the divine task to eradicate the Force of “Metsu, Destruction” that arises in Ryu’s soul. It’s an interesting twist even more since Gouki is Ryu’s father, imagine the anguish of the Man of God when he has to destroy the Lord of Destruction, and in the process, probably destroy Ryu’s very soul and body…
