Warriors Fate: Street Fighter story thread, revived

Yeah, I like Chun-Li’s dialogs with Ryu and Ken too. Even though by now I should know better and am still a Ryu and Chun-Li relationship fan, if Capcom doesn’t pursue it Playmore has no right to.

In actuality, I don’t really want to see them hook up in the games, because Ryu won’t live for Fighting anymore, he’ll be about the bills, the house, the kids and everything else and the series will end. Well, not like the series is active now anyways. Capcom will never hook them up either way.

Two things, First where can I find the dialogue lists you guys are talking about? Anybody got a link.

Second:

I believe this is sort of a joke referring to Terry’s ‘Crack Shot’ attack.

Currently at Gamefaqs, in the Boards Section of SVC on it’s Second Page there’s a Thread called “Some Intros from SVCc” that has a lot of them. I’d post a Link but whenever I try to post a Link to a Forum/Thread at Gamefaqs here it doesn’t work for some reason.

You guys should consider that these dialogues r from the US version. Some of them r close to the Japanese one’s but many are completely different.

Perhaps, but we sadly don’t have access to the Japanese ones.

I wonder if Mai’s as slutty and air-headed in the Japanese version of SvC as she is in the US version. Her dialogue with Demitri showed that Andy not appreciating her beauty and valuing training over it was on her mind quite often. Heaven forbid that someone think of personal improvement instead of sex!

Not sure if this has been asked before but what does it say on ryus karate belt?

isnt it something like fire, water, earth or something? I know its like elements at least IIRC.

anyway if you can help thanks.

FINAL SHOWDOWN - Great question! I’d like to know the answer to this myself.

Here’s the other SF2 CD Drama I got. It’s older than the one I presented before and is dated 7/15/92. Figuring out the story is more guess work on my part this time because the booklet only has OOOOLD school Pics of the SF2 Fighters that even the SF Eternal Art Book seems to have forgoten about. (well, probably lessons the chance of me guessing/interpreting things wrong in some ways.) The CD came with an old school sticker of Akiman’s Chun-Li kicking, which is going right on my PS2, next to the Fist of the Northstar sticker I got from the sundtrack of the new OVA! The CD Drama has two songs with lyrics. One is called JUMPIN’ , the other is called LONESOME SOLDIER. The songs ain’t that great compared to SF2 Animated Movie songs but they’re okay. It also has remixes of Ryu, Chun-Li, Balrog(Ninja) and Vega’s(Dictator) Stages. The last track on the CD is a loooooooooooooooooooong commercial for SF2 on the Super Famicon/Nintendo done by Ryu and Chun-Li! Go, Go, capitalism! Here goes. Once again, this CD Drama is not official/canon. If I’m wrong about stuff and anyone can correct me please do so.

ACT 1 - Young Chun-Li’s present for her father’s murder at the hands of Vega(Dictator). She calls her father “Otosan” (father in Japanese) and not “Papa” like she did in the extremely unofficial SF2V Anime.

ACT 2 - Chun-Li gets a call from Sho Cho who appears to be one of her bosses. The call interupts Chun-Li’s dream of the past in Act 1. Chun- li shows up to arrest some Shadowloo goons. Balrog(Ninja) appears, they fight, Chun-Li knocks him back with a Spinning Bird Kick. Cops show up, thugs and Balrog leave.

ACT 3 - Chun-Li meets up with Kon Ron, the same guy in the other CD Drama. Kon Ron tries to put the moves on Chun-Li, and Chunners beats him up! Chun-Li’s called into Sho Cho’s office. At the end of their conversation, Chun-Li thanks Sho Cho, and just then Balrog crashes through the window and kills Sho Cho! Balrog leaves, and Chun-Li cries over Sho Cho. Kon Ron knocks on the door and then opens it. Chun-Li swears revenge on Balrog, Vega, and Shadowloo! Chunners gets on a plane. The Stuartess says in English, “May I have a cup of coffee?” Unless I’m misinterpreting things, I think she meant to say, “Would you like a cup of coffee.” She continues in English and says, “Coffee or Tea? Coffee or Tea?” to which Chun-Li replies in a surprisingly good English Accent, “No thank you. I want nothing.” (Even back in '92, already Chun-Li could speak better English than the KOF cast! Okay, currently I’m just mad at how dumb Playmore USA’s making Chun-Li sound. Sorry…) Guess who’s doing excercise right on the plane at the request of the stuartess telling him to stop?Ryu of course!

ACT 4 - Ryu and Chun-Li meet in America for the first time! Simoultaneously somewhere in '92 sano smiles for some reason… Ugh, wait, no he doesn’t, this CD Drama ain’t official! sano did not even know who Sagara Sanosuke was in '92, nor did Sanosuke even exist! Probably would be calling himself Megaman back then because he used to be into that back then. Apologies to anyone who read past the first sentence of this Act…

ACT 5 - They continue to chat, and Balrog shows up! He does some damage and leaves.

ACT 6 - Ryu and Chun-Li chase Balrog by car. They enter an SF style Tourney that Balrog was in! The crowd goes wild as Chun-Li enters the ring and beats Balrog with a Lightning kick! Ryu Hadokens a Shadowloo baddie that was pulling Balrog’s strings! Course, Balrog gets away once again. Ryu and Chun-Li say goodbye as Ryu laughs at Chun-Li’s expense. I must say Ryu has acted way out of character in both CD Dramas and his voice actor is horrible while Chun-Li’s voice sounds exactly like her SFZ Anime voice (to lazy to check if they are the same person, but the girl who did Chun-Li’s voice in the SFZ Anime has done it in past games so the possibility exists) but these were made a decade or so ago so you have to give it a bit of leeway methinks.

that doesn’t make any sense.

Ah well, did my best.

Wind forest fire mountain

thats what it says on ryus belt. Hrmmm guess no water after all… intresting…

thanks to skuld no shinpu for telling me.

oh yea but what do you guys think the mountain means. I would expect earth but your hit with mountain instead. lol I guess maybe it means like to climb a mountain or like sturdy likea mountain. or umm… ihave no idea…

Thanks for finding out what it said on Ryu’s belt FINAL SHOWDOWN, cause I’ve been wondering about that for a LONG time.

As far as what it means, here’s my guess

Moves/Flows like the "Wind"
Strength of a "Mountain"
A inner "Fire"
Calm as a “Forest”

Forest is the only one one Im not quite sure of, I think the other ones fit though.

It’s read “Fuu Rin Ka Zan”. The phrase was made by a Japanese general called Takeda Shingen. It was written on the flags of his army. I think i cant remember exactly off the top of my head.

The meanings were

To be swift like the wind
To be quite like the forest
To be aggresive like fire
To be bold/strong like the mountain

i want to no this is oro the strongest street fighter cuz the dud is holding back when he fights has 1 arm and throws the biggest super ive seen in street fighter or is shin akuma stil the strongest or ryu im so confused:confused:

Ryu never was the strongest. We can’t even tell who’s better between Akuma and Oro.

But IMO, I think it’s Gill. He doesn’t have to fight seriously, and when he does, let’s face it, the guy’s invincible.

I’ve been thinking about the Gouki, Gill and Oro deal a bit. Each has performed or can perform beyond human feats. When someone asks, “Which one do you think is the strongest?” to me anyway, it’s almost like asking, “Which beyond human feat do you personally feel is the most impresive?”

Quick run down -

Gill - Can create and uncreate Fire and Ice. Has the ability to regenerate himself.

Gouki - Can destroy mountains with one fist and can send people to Hell for a second using the Shun Goku Satsu.

Oro - Has managed to live for 140 or so years. Beat Ryu with one arm, can levitate objects and has the biggest fireball in SF History.

With that, the question almost becomes which of these feats is the most impressive and you can make solid cases for each one. Me, I’ll just say all three are Top Tier and in the Godly Range and they are all equal if not very close in strength for me to hazzard a guess who is the strongest.

Just my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

What really happened to Gunloc

hehehe

LOL!!! Yeah, I remember that! I thought Cap USA could do no worse than Zombie Belger, but boy was I wrong! As I’ve said before, STOP BEING GREEDY CAPCOM USA! PASS THAT JOINT YOU SMOKIN’!

hrmm intresting… guess it had nothing to do with elements at all. :frowning: oh well thanks though.

Don’t forget, he’s got that whole opposing forces thing going for him.

And he could probably cause as much destruction as Akuma or more with the Seraphic Wing.
