Warriors Fate: Street Fighter story thread, revived

Oh, darn. No mention anywhere of Satsui No Hado in those dialogues. Well, thanks anyway.

I suppose Gen gave a Kenobi speech on how they mustnā€™t surrender to the dark sideā€¦

Eagleā€™s Win Quotes are hilarious! Thereā€™s no way Capcom USA can deny his sexual orientation now.

I donā€™t think that they ever really denied that he was homosexual.

Although, I must admit that his win-quote versus Sodom is both surprisingly and extremely hiliarious if you know what itā€™s alluding to.

Will the real slim samurai please stand up?

They never denied it, though some of his Win Quotes in the U.S. version of CVS2 have been softened some what compared to the Japanese Version. Although the ending remains in tactā€¦

Yeah, that quote you mention is funny! In the U.S. version of CVS2, lots of the Win Quotes are pop culture references.

Yunā€™s win quote to Gen: You canā€™t be that legendary assassin!? Youā€™re an old man!!

Hmmā€¦ did Yun know whether or not Gen was an assassin? ā€¦does Yun even know Gen? Itā€™s at the point where Iā€™m not sure about anything about Yun and Yang these days, from finding out that Lee wasnā€™t Yun and Yangā€™s father to that whole restaurant deal to what happened to Lee to everything. Everything I thought I knew about that section of the SF backstory keeps on falling apart. Oiā€¦

What what what? Youā€™re telling me that Lee ISNā€™T their father? Is there a later FAQ that I may take part of? If so, send it to siegfriedfm (at) hotmail.com, Iā€™ve got plenty of space right now.

Yea, after someone else who understands Japanese at Madman cafe boards pointed it out, Saiki rechecked and found that it was actually only stated that Lee was a ā€˜relativeā€™, and thereā€™s no mention of father anywhere. Thatā€™s been in the plot guide for about two months now. Didnā€™t e-mail you the latest version yet because I wasnā€™t sure how soon you wanted it and how much you wanted me to e-mail you considering that the plot guide was getting multiple updates while Fighter Mania was down (so I figured it would start to get annoying after a while to keep getting e-mails from me for multiple updates for a while).

I have a new update taking into account the SFA3 win quotes, but itā€™s not really complete, yet (waiting for all of them to come in :stuck_out_tongue: ). If you want, I could just send it over now, though. Think thatā€™s just about everything, anyways, though Iā€™d like to figure out the Gen thing first. Not being sure of stuff I thought were facts tends to vex me

Okay, wait until the SFA3 quotes are in then. Iā€™m using the guide when rewriting all bios and I wouldnā€™t want any info to be wrong when I reopen the siteā€¦

Yun, Yang, and Leeā€™s back stories are so incredibly vague, itā€™s rediculous. Especially with Yun and Yang. Weā€™re not sure who theyā€™re related to, who raised them, and who taught them to fight. I wish that Cap would just throw us a bone on this one.
-Clay

You mean their underworld relations?

That, and who theyā€™re related to, who trained them, who they know, etc. I totally agree with Clay. Capcom needs to explain their frigginā€™ storylines.

I donā€™t think Capcom explaining their storylines better would seriously cover up the stupidity that Cap USA has been saying about the SF storyline.

Street Fighter 4 History option:

(JP version)
ā€œAdon did this, Alex did that, Balrog did this, Blanka did thatā€¦
ā€¦
ā€¦
ā€¦
Yang is this, Yun is that, Zangief is gay.ā€

(US version)
ā€œRyu killed S4G4T when he bec4me EVIL RYU and used teh Sheng Long dragon punch on him. Then he uses his Shotokhan P0WAAR to beat Bison. Then he beat Alex coz Alex is ghey, then he beat Gill coz Ryu is teh ebst!ā€

ā€¦ quite probably.

Sorry to break momentum, but does anyone know anything concrete about the EX storyline? I came upon a very tiny bit of story, but I think it was listed in Gamepro, so I canā€™t be sure if itā€™s real or translated nonsense. If I posted it would anyone be able to verify it?
Thanks

Okay.

Now I have a question: Does anyone remember the last page that the thread summary/directory was on? If not, could someone just tell me the year that SFII and thus the year that Bison died for good (supposedly)?

Also, can someone fully explain the aspects of Psycho Power.

Not sure if thereā€™s a thread summary somewhere in the new version or not, but I generally track and add in everything confirmed and probable and such to the URL in my sig.

SF2 happened in 1993.

Vega/Bisonā€™s Psycho powerā€¦ well, the full explanation is very long. The short of it is that itā€™s based off energy from negative emotions, and Vega/Bison channeled a lot of it into himself via the psycho drive in SFA3. For more, that link should have it all in Bisonā€™s section, I think.

The current form of Fighter Mania is available here. Iā€™ll have a special FAQ section up later.

Thanks, for both the date of SF2 and that link in your sig.

However, I have three more questions:

  1. Can you explain the full-explanation of Psycho Power? I mean, the long and actual in-depth one because I think it would really, really come in handy.

  2. Can you explain to me what years all the Street Fighter 3/III games take please in?

  3. What is the Illumanti supposed to be located?

With regards to the right pronunciation and spelling of the word Shadowlaw:

The term Shadowlaw most likely first appeared in Street Fighter 2 the Animated Movie. The movie was released around 1994 (around the same time SSF2T was released too). No SF2 game (except the retcon from SF2 Revival) actually mentioned the word, so itā€™s safe to assume that the term actually originated there.

The word is clearly ā€œShadowlawā€ as clearly seen from the Interpole dudeā€™s top secret document.

However, Japanese peeps have limited vowel repertoire thatā€™s why SF characters in the original Japanese version of that movie pronounced it to something like ā€œSha-do-looā€, and thatā€™s where the confusion started.

The Van Damme movie used Shadaloo, but that movie doesnā€™t mean anything anyway.
