In AAC the word Shadaloo is listed in English and only refers to the SF Movie game with Van Damme. Can’t read Japanese but I’m sure “Shadowloo” is written in Kanji in the book, somewhere. Anyway, I’ve always tried to use “Shadowloo” over “Shadaloo”. Mostly 'cuz it has the word “Shadow” and it sounds cooler.

Capcom Artwork fans - In this week’s Newtype USA issue, (dated January 2003) there’s an interview with Capcom Illustrator Ms. Kinu Nishimura. Although it mostly discusses her current work on “Overman King Gainer,” it breifly mentions her Capcom Artwork, showing a Rival Schools Pic and a Ryu vs. Alex pic, both which I think are in Capcom Design Works. It also walks you through the steps of how she creates a drawing from pencils to Photoshop! Pretty cool!

Umm… TiamatRoar, are you ever going to explain Psycho Power?
You told me to check you’re guide, and I did (and the Cammy section was quite funny), but there was no detailed explanation of Bison/Barlog’s Psycho Power. So, would you mind at least responding to that question?

Psycho Power is basically power derived from negative emotions. That’s about it, really. If there’s more to it than that and the tangents in the plot guide (about the psycho drive, mostly), I don’t know it. Wow, that was never mentioned in the plot guide? Guess I figured it was mentioned among all that yabbering about the Psycho Drive but forgot to specifically state that was Psycho power being channelled by it. The Dolls have some psycho power ability, too, though of course not to the extent of Bison. Juni’s psycho shield, Juli and Juni’s psycho charge abilities, possibly the mach slide, and even though Cammy doesn’t display any in her special moves that I know of (at least, not in any canon storyline SF game, though she uses it in the VS series), she was able to control the psycho drive so she has it within her somewhere, too (course, her body was specifically designed for it, also). No clue if they channel psycho drive power through their pseudo-shoulder pads, either.
Oh, and it’s basically one and the same as Rose’s soul power, except Rose’s soul power derives energy from the soul instead of negative emotions. The result is the same, basically (purple/blueish energy blasts, effects, sparks, flames, etc).
As far as I know, the Illuminatti is the same as the real world legend. IE, it’s everywhere, really. Illuminatti is more an underground society than any particular bases with any particular locations that I know of. The guide doesn’t go into detail about the Illuminatti because I figure that people know what the illuminatti is, already. Sigh, I suppose if this keeps up I’ll someday have to go research the dumb thing just like how lots of people researched the Orochi legend for KOF, but I’m not even sure if Street Fighter’s illuminatti is exactly 100% similar to the illuminatti of legend. …that and I imagine there are multiple versions of said legend/rumour.

Personally, I think the Illumaniti in SF is like Capcom’s take on the Illuminati, not the actual one. Kind of like their take on Interpol, that sends very young women into missions…
A better take on the Illuminati legend could be seen on the Gargoyles cartoon. Yeah, shocking that it came from Disney.
Talk about the Illuminati in the Plot Guide? I wouldn’t bother. Like you said, there’s Tons of material on it that could be researched, even on the Net. And, at least SNK researched the Orochi Legend where as Capcom just tagged on the name Illuminati after inventing the organization. Besides, if it does exist you may one day mysteriously dissapear for discussing it…

Tiamatroar, Siegfried, Saki or anyone else - Do any of you guys have Ataru’s (The artist the drew Gouken’s daughter and the Twelve Dolls) web site address? I used to have it but I lost it. I printed out all the pics I liked however and I doubt it’s updated much, but when you have a job like me where you sit in front of a PC all day (the reason why I post a lot) and work’s as slow as it is with everyone on vacation it’s good to sit back and check out his hundreds of drawings. I was hoping people would comment on the Alpha 3 quotes and info. Especially the part about Eagle being present for something Bison-related.
Thanks a lot for the winquotes, HcParker. They clear up a lot. It seems that Eagle (who is gay :P) did know Adon, and Yun seems to have fallen into a wormhole or something…
At least the quotes show that Yun is just a bonus character and really isn’t part of that timeline. Just like how Alpha Cody was in Final Fight One. But like Alpha Cody, it does bring some insights into some of the characters. His quote to Cammy (“Nice package, but no soul…”) is further proof that Cammy is just a clone and isn’t a regular human being. Whats up with his quote to Chunli, it almost seems like he can’t believe Chunners could be attractive (or am I reading the quote wrong?).
I like Maki’s quotes, it gives her more personality. She seems like a girl with attitude (almost bordering on being a beeyatch :evil: ). But I thought she was Rena’s younger sister, not older.
Well, according to Capcom (and Chun-Li fanboys like myself) Chun-Li’s supposed to be the most beautiiful. My guess is that Yun is more into chicks closer to his age.
