Just thought I’d share this with anyone who hasn’t seen it.
They even have art from that Hong Kong-made Mouse Generation game. The only games missing there are the EX and Vs. games.
now the distance between Ryu and Akuma would determine how fast Ryu was running when he shoryuken Akuma. . Ryu runs at Akuma at 03:17 and hits him with a shoryuken at 03:19. so Ryu would have to cover a cretain amount of ground in 3 seconds.
edit: the youtube vid lacks the gametrailers intro. there also the first running scene where Ryu runs at Akuma ( 02:48 ) and clashes with him ( 02:53) now 48 + 5 = 53, which means it took Ryu only 5 seconds from where he was at to reach Akuma. oh and that noise you here when Ryu clashes with Akuma is a sonic boom
They have character art from the CvS series, but it looks like they want to keep it focused on Street Fighter characters only, which is why there’s no poster art with characters from Marvel or SNK in it, or even CFJ characters.
What’s funny though is that Elena’s page has a piece with her in the jungle, and there are little Darkstalkers and Cyberbots cameos hidden in the environment.
The Street Fighter II Turbo logo they used is actually the one used for the SNES/Super Famicom version (which had no prime symbol). The arcade version is supposed to be Street Fighter II’ (Dash) Turbo.
The odd thing is that the Capcom Fighting Game Expo in Japan a few months ago has an exhibition which included all of Ryu’s official character art up until SF IV, including the EX series. Don’t know why they didn’t include any EX art here.
There’s a few pieces missing from the ZERO series too.
I realized this site is hosted by Street Fighter Devotion. Aren’t they a fansite?
Pretty much, except they’re smart to enough to separate all the fan art and keep it on their deviantart page. I just wish they’d upload the finished art from the games themselves.
Abel is shaping up to be an awesome character. I like his connection with Seth and his general fighting style. He also has some hilarious scenes, like Abel vs Fei-Long (or Fei-Long vs Abel) where he’s in full fanboy mode (“I can’t believe I’m fighting him”) and Zangief vs Abel where Zangief tries to lift his spirit by giving him a good fight. His expression after Zangief explains his brand of psychotherapy is priceless. Abel -> :wtf:
In general, I really like the quotes. Their character really shines through and I haven’t really seen anyone being OOC. Except possibly Gen who spends all this time looking after Chun-Li and then acts like he just killed her and doesn’t give a damn.
The Street Fighter retrospective in the American Street Fighter IV website was also written by them. Naturally, it had quite a few omissions and mistakes in it and mainly covered only the console versions of the game.
Kinda make me wonder why Vasili10 doesn’t apply to the company to serve as a localization supervisor.
They’re looking for (better yet do they even want) someone like that? SFD, the one who’s solely interested in everything-SF but overseas only, who’s spoon-fed everything Capcom USA affirms, and believes there’s no overarching seishi? Has he turned over a new leaf having seen what SF4 offers or what?
Where’s the application?
I’m not kidding.
Here’s the “Legacy” section of the American site.
http://www.streetfighter.com/flash/#/sflegacy/gamepacks/en
And here’s the Street Fighter Devotion fansite
It has the same context and the official site even cites Street Fighter Devotion for reference.
Its kinda sad when a company (even if its just a US subsidiary of a Japanese one) can’t keep track of its own history and needs to cite fansites (for the official site) and wikis (for the training manual) to verify facts. It shows a lack of professionalism in my opinion.
I never doubted you. That’s why I asked where an application is, because I know SFD’s history. Heck, SFD often felt threatened by me (even threatened to ban me once) when he was manning the Street Fighter Community Forums which is now the Street Fighter Society forums. I know it’s sad that CUSA has to rely on a fansite for its own story material, simply because unlike CJ it simply won’t go back to do its own homework. It’s very sad, and very hilarious at the same time. Quoth Gouki: Shoushi!
So yeah, would they even care to have someone like a localization supervisor? Nah, I feel they’d much rather keep on piling onto their grime. But feel free to show me otherwise anytime. That invitation extends to everyone of course.
Here’s Capcom’s employment page.
http://www.capcom.com/us/?careers
I’m guessing the people involved in localization would be part of the marketing or software development. There’s currently positions open for Technical Standards Analyst and Senior Product Marketing Manager.
Modded with him and met him in real life a few times. He’s a bigtime douche bag. You know, the kind of person that you know what a jerk he is the second he opens his mouth. The EXACT opposite of how S-Kill is in real life. He has helped me out, told me secrets and stuff that I could never repeat online until the news was official, so he’s not all bad I suppose. Well I’ll only call out his douche-baggery here because I KNOW he doesn’t read this thread and I don’t need the extra online hate.
He works for Ubisoft now, he’s not really connected to either Studio Udon or Capcom anymore. At least not in a monetary way.
Matt’s still posting in the Comics Forum despite our demotion lol, it’s all good! Matt is actually really cool in real life, though I think he doesn’t remember meeting me. Lol conventions are crazy, so many people… :looney:
Matt also posts at C-Unity also, a Udon Comic book forum over at the SF forum. Pretty awesome answers he gives us over there, but it’s basically the same he gives us here at SRK.

Ryu’s anime intro Hadouken ( Time)
Ryu throws his hadouken in his intro at 00:44 and it touces the ocean at 00:44 and keeps going and stops at 00:45. so Ryu’s Hadouken hit a certian distance and then stop in one second.
Edit: IF Ryu’s Hadouken can Travel 565 miles per hour then it can travel 829 foot per second. which means in one hour his hadouken can reace 565 miles or 829 feet. there’s 3,600 seconds in one hour and 60 seconds in one minute.
Really… really, guys. You need to stop trying to calculate official speeds and ranges of anything going by (crappy) animation. Even if it’s straight from within a game. Unless it was drawn at 60 fps and there was a scale set up along the path, with a visible timer…
As for endings, I watched Honda’s. He basically returns, get scolded by the main sumo, and then proceeds to beat everyone and (apparently) claim the main sumo’s robe for himself.
i don’t see want the animation has to do with distance and speed, People have calculate speed in comics and comics are not animated. The Ryu vs. Akuma Trailer isn’t from within the game. also nothing splits water like that only less
it’s going at high speeds.
Edit: so i am just going to clacuate the speed anyways i don’t care if the animation is crappy, i would calactute the speed of projectiles in G.I Joe and that Cartoon had Crappy animation.
note: a flat surface is inanimate object so there wouldn’t be any to animated . it’s quite easy to calacute speed off crappy animetion if you know what your doing and want to look for. oh by the way i can easly tell the distance Ryu was from the water even if the animation is crappy. Ryu could not have been anymore then at lest 10 to 20 feet away from the water. the distance of the water it’s self is very short, probely only about 10 to 20 feet long.
Ryu was further away from Akuma when he first ran at him in the trailer. Also you can not make a sonic boom unless your going at really high speeds. seriously you can see the sound ripple in the trailer it’s the white halo.
Sonic Boom
1
edit: or heat, but the hadouken is state to be about the about the same temp as the human body which is 98.6 F . Water bolis at 212 degrees F. So the only way Ryu could split the water like that with his hadouken is by create force, and force equals mass times acceleration.
note 2: then theres the depth of the water when the water splits apart there is no fish. this tells me the water isn’t very deep, which means it’s near land.
edit 2: acorrding to Vasil 10 Dee Jay’s projectile goes at the speed of sound which is 761 miles per hour or 1 116 foot a second. so Dee Jay’s projectile can travel 761 miles in one hour or . which means it easly travel 10 to 20 feet or more in 1 second or less. the sonic boom travels at speed faster then Sound 1522 miles per hour or 2276 foot a second. so it can diffrently travel 10 to 20 feet in less then a second.
edit 3 ok i got this wrong 1116 foot a second is how much time it takes it to travel in one second. so Deejay’s Projectile can travel 1116 foot in one second which isn’t even a mile. Guiles sonic boom can travel 2276 feet in one second which is still not a mile. There is 5280 feet in a mile. this means that both Deejay and Guiles projectliles could cover a distance of 10 to 20 feet in less then 1 second.
In order for Ryu to compete against Guile and Deejay in projectile wars he would have to be able to throw his Hadouken at really fast speeds.
so 565 miles per hour = 829 foot a second. that’s 829 feet in one second. clearly if Ryu’s hadouken travel 10 feet in one second then it’s only traveling at 7 miles per hour. and if it travel 20 feet in one second it would only be travling at 14 miles per hour. this means that the water is further away from Ryu then 10 or 20 feet
1 45 miles per hour is 66 feet in one second
2 100 miles per hour is 146 feet in one second
3 200 miles per hour is 233 feet in one second
4 300 miles per hour is 440 feet in one second
5 400 miles per hour is 586 feet in one second
6 500 miles per hour is 733 feet in one second
7 761 miles per hour is 1 116 feet in one second
8 1522 miles per hour is 2232 feet in one second
Ryu can easily beat world class sprinters with ease. Nice.
I can’t wait to meet the UDON crew when I travel up to Comic-con. Conventions are insane, and I heard San Diego Comic-con is extremely packed.
Even if it won’t be official, I still think it’s interesting and just fun to know for the hell of it.
in case you miss it.
acorrding to Vasil 10 Dee Jay’s projectile goes at the speed of sound which is 761 miles per hour or 1,116 foot a second. so Dee Jay’s projectile can travel 761 miles in one hour or 1 116 foot a second . which means it easly travel 10 to 20 feet or more in less then 1 second the sonic boom travels at speed faster then Sound 1,522 miles per hour or 2,276 foot a second.
1,116 foot a second is how much time it takes it to travel in one second. so Deejay’s Projectile can travel 1,116 foot in one second which isn’t even a mile. There is 5280 feet in a mile. this means that both Deejay and Guiles projectliles could cover a distance of 10 to 20 feet in less then 1 second.
Edit: so Yes distance does term speed. for a projectile to travel 10 feet in one second it would only be traveling 7 miles per hour. now if a projectle travels 20 feet in one second then it’s only travling 14 miles per hour. that’s slowing then the fastest olympic sprinter and much slower then a greyhound, a greyhound can run up to speeds of 45 miles per hour.
note 2: in order to create a sonic boom Ryu would have to be running at Akuma at no less then 761 miles per hour. which means he travel 1116 foot in one second before he reach Akuma. it took him 5 seconds to reach Akuma which means Akuma was 5,580 feet away or 1 mile away from Ryu.
the second time Ryu runs at Akuma to Shoryuken him he reaches him in 2 seconds which means Akuma was 2,232 feet away from Ryu.

edit: the multiple Ryu trick is a trick used in many fighting anime.
note: SSJ gotkens can travel 5,580 feet in less then 1 second. Flash can travel that same distance in less than a nano second. light travels at 983,571,056 foot a second. which means light can travel 983,571,056 feet in one second and
670,616,629 miles in one hour.
Resident Evil 5
Wesker’s speed
at 5:09 wesker fires a shot from his gun and at the same time moves at 5:09 just when Chris fires and fires his gun off again. Wesker then moves again and dodges another shot from Chris at 5:09 Wekser puts his gun away at 5:10 and then dodges a shot from Chris at the same time. at 5:11 Wesker takes his gun out and moves and in less then 1 second he’s already in point blank range.
edit: more sonic booms in Ryu vs Akuma Trailer
1 shock wave spotted at 00:45
2 shock wave spotted at 00:46
note: since Deejay projectal travels 1,116 feet in one second, you wouldn’t see most of that feet. hell at 10 feet Deejay’s and Guile’s projectiles would be unseeable.

Okay, whoever listed that you unlock the bosses by simply beating it with everyone else is wrong. I’ve beaten it with everyone now, no sign of Akuma, Gouken or Seth…
