Nash couldn’t do Guile’s defy-the-laws-of-physics forward roundhouse flip.
Guile’s brawler status is attributed to his SF2V incarnation, which is non-canon.
Nash may be flashier, but that doesn’t mean that he’s more agile. Nor does his built would automatically suggest that. Remy is way too slim, but he’s damn slow.
If we study both Guile’s and Nash’s sprites, it’s hard to tell which one is more agile. We might as well forget this issue.
Yeah, Ryu couldn’t of won the SF2 Tourney because if he did, he would of already had his rematch with Sagat, and according to Sagat’s SF2 Revival ending that hasn’t gone down yet. Just my guess.
It’s been a minute since I played SFA3,with my PS2 across the city, so I could be wrong. But if memory serves correctly, Guile in Alpha has the exact same forward as Charlie. Said upside-down kick is after his training, in his SF2 incarnation. I stand by my statement. Guile in Alpha = runt brawler. Guile in SF2 = seasoned fighter.
Yeah, I think Guile has pretty much consummated his story for the time being. I wonder if we’ll see Charlie again. But he’s sort of accomplished his goal too.
I wish Capcom would make SF4 and clear some crap up.
Clay- I’ve been OK. I hope you’ve been alright as well.
Concerning the Gen+Gouki ending in SFZ2.
The stuff in the brackets are stuff being said in the head by that character.
Gen - "…this is the end, just finishe me off.(Good…come closer to me. Feel my final desperation hit!)…What?!
Gen - “Dam…he knew, he had only left his presence behind.”
Gouki - “Worthy opponents who challenge me…This world is still has many more to be found. It makes it more worthy for I, who fights to purify my fists. Will it be I, or him, that will die next…Hmph…hahahaha!”
And regarding Guile and Nash. Yes, I personally think that Nash is better than Guile, even though Nash is dead. I’ll point out why. Capcom has flat out said that Nash is one of the fighters in SF that has the top potentials with Ki manipulation. His potential is right up there with Ryu, Sagat, Sakura, etc. He is a very calm fighter and is not as flashy as people think. Also, he has learned martial arts from when he was very young. Capcom hasn’t said what though. Although they have said that Nash knows quite a bit of holds and locks as well as having very powerful kicks.
With Guile, yes, he has more physical strength than Nash in SF2. But he doesn’t have the skills so that he can use his strength to its full potential. He has alot of wasted strength and effort. He does not have that much more experience in terms of fighting compared to his SFZ3 self. During the time form SFZ3 to SF2, Guile mainly trained on learning the Sonic Boom. And he finally learned it a little while before the SF2 tournament.
And concerning Sonic Booms, Guile can only throw it when he puts everything he has into it. Nash can throw it anytime, with his arm, leg, knee, elbow.
These are pretty much the reasons why I still rank Nash higher than SF2 Guile.
Wishful thinking, they’ll find something ELSE to screw up.
That bit about Nash being able to throw sonic booms from any limb is pretty interesting. It explains why in his ‘Sonic Break’ super at level three he ‘throws’ the final boom from his foot.
Saiki: what do Oro’s, Remy’s and Ibuki’s ki attacks feel like?
